| I wish there WERE multiplayer achievements. Why don't you all, when MP seems to be the most popular and talked about part of this game? It's not like it's going to be on poor servers or hard to find a game, considering this is the most anticipated game of recent years. Otherwise seems ok, it depends on how hard specops is. | Special Ops are the multiplayer achievements. OXM has a whole article about special ops. There's like 23 maps or something and they're all similar event scenarios like Mile High Club, so you do have Mile High Club in the game. They are highly recommended to do co-op to pass them. You get 1 star for passing on Normal, 2 for hardened and 3 stars for Veteran so you will have to beat all of them on Veteran to get the 69 stars. That's almost 23 Mile High Club scenarios to have fun with! | ||

| @96 not all Multiplayer achieves require boosting: Get 10000 or 25000 kills , win 100 matches, theres so many that don't require boosting etc... when they put other achieves such as kill 2 people with 1 sniper bullet then you get the boosters. This game will have so many people playing it just for the MP you wouldn't have to worry about boosters. | @87 No reason to play MP? I think the best reason is because it's going to be damn fun. @116 I totally agree about the spawning. MW2's single player will be much better just based on the fact there will be no respawning enemies. I don't mind hard games but CoD4 crossed the line into annoyed on anything about normal difficulty. Anyway, this is one game I wouldn't have minded MP achievements because there will always be people playing. The list is fine with me either way though. | ||

I was just interested to see just how many Spec Ops achievements there was going to be. After reading this list it really does seem like I will be going back to Spec Ops more than I thought I would have, but that's great. It shows it's not just a novelty and really is a whole knew game mode. All 69 stars will probably be challenging, but getting 1000 on CoD 4 was extremely satisfying and I am sure this one will be too. I also noticed that there's now 45 pieces of intel instead of 30 but that's nothing an easy run can't handle :P | ||

And me and my mates like cod 4 but stopped playing it after a while because there was nothing else to do... Gears 1 had seriously and is probably the greatest achievement on the xbox and one of the most successful multiplayers ARGUABLY because of it... Everytime I get into a match now there is at least one person trying to boost. If you go into game chat the only thing they talk about is boosting. Also, most of the other games you mentioned do ocasionally have boosters on the achievements you can even boost. If you want to talk about multiplayer boosting, use examples where it's possible. Otherwise you look like a douche who knows he can't win the argument so he uses games that it doesn't work for in order to bring any merit to his side of the argument. | I think MP achievements can work if they are done properly. Mainly achievements that come during natural progression are good, such as getting to first prestige, where you don't have to go out of your way to get them. which means people don't have to boost them. The worst online achieves i've seen are for games like Frontlines: Fuel of War where you get an achievement for not dieing in a round, so you had people hiding at the back of the level... really stupid. Anyway, COD games don't need MP achievements, the online has been very successful without them, so why change it? | ||

However, the only ones that would be good would ranking achievements and gain a certain number of kills. With other achievements, though, this game would fall into the Halo trap and perpetually have boosters ruining the experience. Therefore, I believe achievements should remain in the non competive multiplayer aspects of games, or in single player alone, which would be even better. All achievements should be available to people who don't have gold anyway. | The only reason some people want multiplayer is so that they can boost and get the acheivemnets to raise their gamerscore, otherwise the game is useless to them because they suck at the actual game. As for myself I am happy that there are no MP acheiements. Also I hope they take out cage match which will help eliminate boosting. | ||

| I dont mind a few mp achievements (on some games) but we all know that modern warefare doesnt need them to be awesome. with all the unlockable guns and perks and crap like that who needs mp cheeves. but I wouldnt mind a 1000 headshot mp cheeve . so all the people whining about not having mp cheeves go play wolfenstien wich has mostly online cheeves and most all can be boosted | ||

Campaigns are what drive a game; without a campaign a game probably won't make it past the development stage. The campaign is the first thing developed in a game. Multiplayer does not come until the campaign has been finished. If you don't like campaigns, then that's your own opinion. | i like campaign and the idea of spec ops have full gamerscore in 4 and 5 but really want gamerscore and achievements for online, not ones that can be boosted like get an amount of kills in a game but things like 5000 wins or 30000 kills or have an average k/d of more than 1 after 20 games | ||
