 Welcome to November, and our first Member of the Month for a while. This was announced a while ago on the Podcast, but now you finally get to read the interview! This guy has been around the site for a long time, and has continuosly suggested ways forward for the site. So let me introduce......
My Name is Tarek Ali. I am 38 ( I hope I am not the eldest MOM!). I live in Cairo, Egypt (any Member from Egypt or Middle East? Please Message Me). I'm married with 4 kids (all love to gaming). I work as an Investment Banker and I have my own printing & Graphic Design Agency. I Graduated from Georgia Tech University in Atlanta, Ga. My love of gaming goes all the way back to Atari Times, and I jumped back to gaming with Xbox360 and its addictive achievements. Wow! I am an Xbox freak, I have 5 Xbox's for different reasons (Halo Edition, Pal Region, Elite, Core and a premium). I have a Panasonic 36, a Sony 40 HDTV and a Phillips projector for rockband and MOST important I have a gaming chair called X Rocker; with built in speakers & subwoofer. I think it was my best investment ever as I can spend hours comfortably searching for pigeons and & flags or just having fun at COD4 I also have the MS Driving Wheel. My favourite game would be a game that is enjoyable with intelligent, fun and a reasonable mixed Achievement list; that you unlock while you go in the story mode & some challenging Achievements. With this criteria I think Assassin Creed, GTA IV & Bioshock would fit as my favourites. Urrrgh! Any game that you have to play on different difficulties (non Stackable) and worse with cut-scene that you can not skip! Like Shrek the 3rd and recently Beijing 2008 with the button meshing technique drove me crazy. The Godfather Monopoly: Take over all of one family’s businesses in less than 65 minutes This achievement just needs skill, luck and a lot of patience to get. Which achievement is the next on the hit list for you? Rock Band2 Achievements, Me and my kids have been playing Rock band without focusing on achievements and hoping for AN-I-MAL!!! Beat the Impossible Drum Challenge. I am the family drummer! What was the last thing you downloaded from the Arcade? Recently we have a treat with 3 Game each week on XBLA! I got Mega Man 9 & Penny Arcade: Episode 2. Do you get games mainly for achievements, or for gameplay? Achievements. Which I believe is the best way to play and enjoy a game. Achievements let me explore and play games like I never did before. There is nothing more satisfying then seeing this final 1000 GS on a game! Is the 360 your only console currently? Do you have plans for any more? We have a Wii for the kids, and with the trophies thing coming up I might have a 2nd look at PS3. So many excellent games so little time! Gears of Wars 2, Left 4 Dead and Mirror's Edge. And final comments….I am very proud to be part of this great community we have at X360a.org.
