So then, the first of the month brings another new Community Member of the Month. With us since the early days of X360A.org and has always been known to us staff as the man with all the news. An insightful poster that keeps us all up to date with whats going on in the gaming world. I present to you... Weapon 117, enjoy... |
Lets start by finding out a bit more about the man behind the GamerTag. My first name is Sean. I am a 17 year old high school student and I live in Pembroke, Ontario, Canada. In my spare time I play video games, read comics, collect hockey cards and other hockey memorabilia and always look for new DVDs to add to my collection. I usually am quiet and keep to myself. In the future I plan on either going into something game related or a trade (i.e. carpenter, electrician, etc). Since I don't have a job right now I usually have lots of free time which is why I'll usually wait till late at night to go out and mess someone up. |
| What is your gaming setup like? I have no special tv or surround sound setup for gaming. If there is a tv that has sound coming out of it, I'll play my 360 there. But, of course, I do plan on getting a good setup to play games with, most likely when I start living on my own. |
| What is your favorite game on the 360? My favourite 360 game is the jaw dropping game that many 360 gamers are enjoying...Gears of War. This game has both an awesome single player and mutliplayer which many games don't always have. The graphics, sound, storyline, game mechanics, innovation...you name it, it's all what next gen is about and yet the simplicity is what makes it enjoyable and fun. |
| And the game that makes you scream? Out of the few games I have played, the game that makes me scream is Street Fighter 2. This game just isn't as fun as the other games I have played and the controls can make the game difficult. It is a good game though, but just not as good as the other games I have played. And I can understand that Street Fighter fans will disagree with me but keep in mind that I only buy few games and that i feel is worth my money. |
| What achievement are you most proud of? The achievement I am most proud of is True Elite in Burnout Revenge. Getting this achievement took me a lot of time to get too. This achievement isn't impossible to get, it is just very time consuming but once you have achieved it, you know you can do well in multiplayer and kick your friends asses when they come over to your house challenge you. |
| Which achievement is the next on the hit list for you? The acheivements I plan on getting next are the ones in F.E.A.R. and getting as many as I can in Gears of War. I don't have a lot of games but I try to get as many achievements unlocked out of the ones I have. |
| What was the last thing you downloaded from the Arcade? The last thing I downloaded from the Arcade was Mortal Kombat 3. I have always been a Mortal Kombat fan but never really started playing the games until I got an N64. I was hooked on anything Mortal Kombat related after that and its always cool to see one of my favourite game franchises looked like and played like back in the day. |
| Do you get games mainly for achievements, or for gameplay? I get games mainly for gameplay. Before I buy a game I'll see what kind of reviews it gets and also hear about it by word of mouth. I always play the single player in games first because I always enjoy a good story. After I have finished single player, I give mutliplayer a try and deliver some pwnage to other gamers. |
| Is the 360 your only console currently? Do you have plans for any more? I also own the big black box that people loved before its successor, the Xbox 360, came out. I use to have an N64 also but I got rid of it because it wasn't functioning right anymore and I was more focused on next gen. I don't plan on buying a PS3 or a Wii as of now because of cost and I feel happy enough with a 360. |
| Whats the next game that you will be getting? The next games I will be getting all come out in 2007 or later but have no real release dates yet. They include Fable 2, Halo 3, Grand Theft Auto IV, Half Life 2 Episode 2, and Mass Effect. |
| And final comments…. I would like to say thanks a lot for being selected as Member of the Month. I never thought it would happen. I would also like to tell you that you never know that who you will meet online will affect you and that you never know you can become a good friend with somebody you have never seen. Finally, I always like to end something with a badass quote and this one to me is cool and is from my favourite superhero, Batman: "Tell everyone. All the punks, junkies, gunsels, enforcers... all the wise guys, leg-breakers, muscle boys... tell them they're finished. Tell them the streets belong to the Batman." |
Thanks to Weapon 117 for this entertaining interview. We look forward to next months Member of the Month as we get inside the mind of another fellow member. Remember, requirements for this are that you are a member of the site and an active member, so you could be next. |
