Welcome to a new community feature from the brains behind X360A.org. The Member of The Month feature allows you the user to get inside the minds of some of our members. First up is veteran member and super gamercard designer Crash AKA Crash 27 AKA Mr Legit No 6 In The World AKA RavenCrash. The interview went as follows.... |
Lets start by finding out a bit more about the man behind the GamerTag. My real name is Tim Johnson. I'm 27, married, and have two daughters who I love very much. I live in Southwest part of Michigan in the small town of Otsego. I work a full time job inventorying auto parts, and also do some small computer repair in my spare time. I enjoy spending my free time with my girls and also playing the Xbox 360. I am a pretty easy going guy and will sometimes keep to myself, but can get wound up at times. Mostly I just like to enjoy life as much as I can, and not worry too much about the little things. |
What is your gaming setup like? I play on a 50" Sony HD Rear Projection TV. Definitely worth it going to High Definition. The games are absolutely gorgeous in 1080i. My setup also includes a 5.1 Dolby surround sound. Nothing gets you more into the game than being able to hear everything around you. It is all set up in my living room where I have a nice comfy recliner or couch to choose from.
What is your favorite game on the 360? Without a doubt Test Drive Unlimited. I am big into racing and racing games. This game allows the freedom to choose what you are in the mood for. Weather it be just cruising around with some buddies, going head-to-head with people you never met, or just collecting cars in your garage to show off later. This game definitely has it all and is my Top choice
And the game that makes you scream? I can't stand Rumble Roses XX. It was just horrible, from the controls to the fights in the ring. I just found it way to boring and could not bring myself to continue playing it. Over-G would be my second pick. Just could not get into the game because of the controls and missions that were too short and not very fun.
What achievement are you most proud of? Wow, it's hard to pick just one. I have so many that I am very proud of, but I may have to go with having all the veterans on Call of Duty 2. I know a lot of people have them and they aren't really all that hard to get, but it is one of my favorite games and I enjoyed doing them enough that I have gotten them all on both my accounts now.
Which achievement is the next on the hit list for you? A couple big games are coming out, and they will be my next targets. Gears of War, Call of Duty 3, F.E.A.R., and Viva Piñata will be keeping me very busy for the next couple months. If I had to pick one specific one, it would be for Call of Duty 3, beat the game on Veteran Difficulty.
What was the last thing you downloaded from the Arcade? Mortal Kombat 3. I love playing the classic games because they take me back to when I was little kid, and was just getting into video games. My first system was an Atari 2600, which I received on my 7th birthday. There were a lot of classics on that system, and I still enjoy playing them even now. I hope they continue to bring back more of the old greats, especially Mable Madness.
Do you get games mainly for achievements, or for gameplay? I used to rent every game available so I could get all the achievements possible and boost my score. However, there were games in the past that I played that were taking that fun away, so now I have decided to stick to only playing a select few I enjoy. Sure, I will still try to 100% those games, but now I can have fun doing so.
Is the 360 your only console currently? Do you have plans for any more? I currently own an Xbox 360, Xbox, Playstation 2, and Dreamcast. The Xbox 360 is definitely my favorite console, the one I use the most. I may add a Nintendo Wii, but will probably have to try it out some first before I purchase it. I doubt I will be getting a Playstation 3. There just hasn't been much that I have seen with that system that excites me.
Whats the next game that you will be getting? Just picked up F.E.A.R. and have Gears of War, Call of Duty 3, and Viva Piñata all pre-ordered. So I have a pretty full slate right now. Marvel Ultimate Alliance has caught my eye too, after talking with friends and reading reviews on it, so I may have to pick that one up too.
And final comments…. I would just like to say that I am proud to be a member of this great community and am honored to have been selected as the first Gamer of the Month. I have made many friends on the forums and look forward to getting to know more of you. I wish everyone luck with their achievement hunting, and happy gaming.
