A simple question on the forums yesterday regarding one of Rockstar's promotional tools, this being the lolipop sucking Lola (located in the competition banner), sparked a city wide woman hunt in GTA IV. First it started off, who is she? Then it quickly escalated in to being... Where is she? And after some sleuthing and digging throughout Liberty City, people found police records on her. Which triggered a thought... Maybe she's out there on the streets of Liberty City...

So we thought, what better than to reward the first person to find Lola on the streets of Liberty City and provide proof of her existence.

All you need to do is to take a photo of her sucking her lolipop and have your tag and x360a somewhere else in the picture and the first one to submit it to dan.webb [at] x360a.org wins a prize.

It's time we did another Subscriber Tournament here at x360a. After all, it is the subscribers that pay a large percentage of the server costs, so everyone that uses the site owes them a pat on the back. So what better way than by holding a contest? And not just any contest, a GTA IV contest no less.

The tournament will take place on Saturday 17th May, at 7 PM GMT (That's 2 PM Eastern), and will consist of 3 rounds of gameplay that will be decided by the subscribers.

Sign-up for the tournament will be from now until Weds 14th May. The restrictions- well, obviously you must be a subscriber! That's just about it. Anyone signing up as a subscriber and quitting after the tournament will be sorted- great if you want to subscribe, if not then just donate - it's still appreciated. Oh, and for any Staff members who subscribe- feel free to enter this contest.

Now the important bit, the prize.... Well we have a couple of retail games for the winner to pick from, or something else out of the prize vault. Will post more details in the subscriber board nearer the time.

Now we’ve all settled down after the whirlwind that was the GTA IV launch, we thought it would be time to stir it back up somewhat. There are now a load of new features on the forums that will make your experience here ten times better. Let me run you through a few of the things that you will notice as you travel around the forums:

• Thread Tagging – Threads can now be tagged around the forums to help make the search so much easier. They can be author initiated or those who have appropriate permissions can add them.

• Thread Prefixes – Allow people to see what they want before reading the title, whether it be Spoilers, Questions, Important, whatever. We can set these and users can see them as we see fit.

• Reciprocal Friendships Between Users – See your buddy list and the friends of others.

• Public Messages – Chat amongst yourself and your friends on your profile page and the profiles of others rather than clog up the threads.

• User Picture Albums – Create albums, upload pictures. Want to show off your setup? Your gaming collection? Whatever, your call so long as it’s clean!

• User Created Social Groups – GTA Addicts? Want to game with people in your city? Want to setup a boosting party? Well these are great for that.

• New Member Profile Page– All these changes are implemented in to your user profile. So now you want to find out who you are chatting with in a thread. Use these and get in to the Community spirit.

• Member Customisation of User Page – Not only is the layout and content improved on the profile page, but you can even choose your own colours, fonts, border colours, background, etc to make your User Profile page unique.

• Inline Editing of User Attributes – Change your “About Me” section of your profile without leaving the page by clicking the small pencil icons.

• Attachment Viewing Lightbox – Instead of attachments opening up in the current browser, this new feature will create a pop up that gets scaled to your screen so you never have to click that Back button again!

Welcome to May, where Spring is going strong, and summer is just around the corner. More importantly than that, GTA IV has been released! The game we have been waiting for since the 360s launch pretty much, is here - and it's goooooood!! Anyway, that's enough of that. This guy has been around for a while now, and always seems to be sticking his nose in here or there. He recently just volunteered to start fending off the loads of PMs the staff get daily, so don't forget to send him any questions you have.... as well as friend requests on Live!
