  • How to unlock Omega Level Mutant

These difficulty achievements will stack! You can start at this difficulty right away if you want, but it would likely cause you to play more hours in the game than needed. You can if you want, but instead, there is luckily a trick like in many other games where you only need to play the last level on the hardest setting.

Step 1: Beat game on easy
Step 2: Continue from menu. Select hardest difficulty.
Step 3: Exit back to menu after game starts. Load up Mission 8.
Step 4: Beat the last level

    Hints for X-treme (Mission 8)

Do not use your powers, save it. It's best to have Wolverine's defense X-gene to give you one more health bar as well as health regen. You will need to level it up.

Groups of Enemies: You will want to use attacks and dodge when things get shot at you. Be careful, one or two hits can put you in a really bad situation. Focus on enemies that use projectiles.

Sentinel: This was the hardest part in my opinion. It's somewhat of a struggle up the building, but there's no real trick but to keep jumping and watching your timing. As far as the boss goes, it's best to have your power bar full if you can. If you have it, equip Quicksilver's X-gene set. When the sentinel's chest opens, press and start attacking. You may also choose to use Wolverine's set. This will let you heal quicker and do more damage, so you would want to wait for when you needed it. You will probably die a whole lot here, but you'll start to get used to the attacks. They are the same every time you play. When the sentinel puts the energy bombs on the ground, you can still attack his chest on the side when he puts one in front of him. You will very much want Wolverine's defensive gene for this fight!

Tip: People have found you can hit the sentinel's arm when he tries to hit you to help with the fight.

Bastion: Not as tough as a fight once you get the hang of the attack patterns. If you have Quicksilver's Utility gene and have maxed out all levels, you will be in extremely good shape! It will allow you to make short work of the teleporting. If not, most other utilities will work for speed. Once you get him to his 3rd time for repairing shield, you'll hopefully have 4 bars of power. Activate your ultra power and finish him off.

  • When this game comes out, someone has to find out if these difficulty ones are stackable...
  • They are stackable, you will get all 3 if you beat on x-treme. But if you change your difficulty mid-playthrough you will only get the achievement for whatever your lowest difficulty was.
  • My tip/advice for anyone struggling with this one. I got it today on my 2nd playthrough. I suggest that you play as the Density Controller so you can have as much health as possible. Next, you need to make sure you get Emma Stones Defense X-gene. If you get all 3 levels of this (do this as soon as possible) you will take far less damage, fire damage won't hurt you much, and you'll reflect projectiles. Then, as your 2nd ability (the passibe) you need to get the stone armor. This will double with Emma Stones Defense X-gene. Lastly, you need to NEVER use any of your special abilities. The reason is your passive armor is only at it's strongest with you M meter is full... so keep it full. If you do all this, X-treme is no problem. Good luck. :D
  • Also learn to dash.
  • Passive... not passibe... Also, Emma Frost... not Stone. Lol. Even though I do love me some Emma Stone. Lastly, I was only able to get Emma Frost's defense gene when going X-Men. FYI.
  • i didnt do anything special and xtreme was easy
  • I didn't find xtreme that hard, and usually the hard difficulties get me. I did this on my second playthrough, as I was going evil anyway for those achievements and to get the collectibles and challenges I missed. I used the Shadow Matter power, which I found to have faster attacks than the Density one. I also used Surge's Offense (just to chain lighting with attacks, very useful for stunning large groups), Juggernaut's Defense (for the dash attack, extra health, and health regen with full M power)and Magneto's Utility (faster movement in between battles, the extra M power bar, and the quicker fill of the M power). The hardest part of xtreme for me was the Juggernaut / Magneto fight, and even that wasn't much harder than xmen difficulty. The only crappy part of xtreme was the Sentinel bo
  • Confirmed that this can be done by beating the game on easy, continuing, exiting to menu, then loading the last level: both medium and hard cheevo's will unlock after you win. Props to whoever found that out, but it works.
  • These are certainly stackable. Only pussies bitch out and use cheap glitches to get them all. I suggest beating the game once on the hardest difficulty. It isn't hard if you concentrate. This game is buggy as hell, so expect to be kick ass one minute and then just be dead the next. You will get all the achievements if you beta it all in one go like I did.
  • no people who want the 1000 as fast as they can use cheap glitches you asshole. is there a way to still get this without playing through the whole game again cause when i hit continue i accidently hit new mutant and now the difficlty wont stay the hardest when i load a level
  • extreme is not hard at all but the quick way people said to try it never worked for me at all
  • This game is easy enough that you don't need glitches and loopholes for. I did X-Treme difficulty first time through and had very little trouble. I just used Shadow Matter; Infinity Rift fully upgraded takes care of multiple enemies. As for X-Genes: Defensive: Emma Stone Offensive: Surge/Gambit Utility: Iceman
  • This game was too short, it could have been so much better....after you beat it you should be able to redistribute all the points into different powers or just continue leveling up the initial character though.
  • Game was far too easy!
  • @#8 nice i can just replay the game on my orignal save using the mision select turn up the difficulty and pick the brotherhood at the same time to pick up the rest of the achievments while keeping my orignal character. AWSOME
  • I used the Wolverine suit & x-genes to get through the first 3 rounds...but was getting by A$$ handed to me by Bastian...then I switched to Quicksilver suit & x-genes and finished him off after just a couple of tries...after you defeat the sentinel switch to quicksilver so that it saves this setup (otherwise it always reverts back to Wolverine)...as Quicksilver you have the dask ability whichmakes life really easy getting to him after he teleports...then just pound him with quick attacks every chance you get...when the 3 MRD fools come at you use the shield to make short work of them...
  • roadmap jacked me up by stating i could change difficulty and jump to mission 8....i guess i'll have to play the whole boring game from the beginning.
  • Just completed the last level on the hardest difficulty after finishing the game on easy, achievement didn't unlock. :/
  • Tried doing the difficulty change, no dice. Then I beat the entire game on xtreme and again no dice.....kind of pissed at the game...they were my last two achievements......going to take a break from this. Any ideas as to what happened?
  • Some clarification; You need to change the difficulty through New Game+ (even though it isn't actually called that). Once you have finished the game, if you choose 'Continue' from the main menu you will be told that you can replay the game while keeping all your powers, but resetting your faction standing. You will also get to choose the difficulty. This is where you need to set it to X-treme. You can't just change the difficulty from the pause menu as that won't work for the achievements. Once you select the difficulty and load into the first level, you can quit to the menu and then load the last level directly and play through that for the achievement. One thing to know; once you enter into the New Game+ menu where you choose the difficulty, you need to make a choice and load
  • For anyone having trouble with the last level i've managed to glitch it twice now by doing the following: Have random X-genes equiped and then during the fight with the big robot thing change to Quicksilvers X-genes + suit (may work with others but no idea). Activate his X-Gene to slow everything down and then die. When you respawn everything will be in slowmo and its stupidly easy. Not sure if this works at all points of the game or not.
