Show / Hide Guide Road Map Overview: - Estimated achievement difficulty: 5/10 - Offline: 29 (1000 ) - Online: 0 - Approximate Time to 1000 : 15-25 Hours - Minimum number of playthroughs needed: 1 (multiple playthroughs of some missions may be required) - Number of missable achievements: None - Glitched achievements: None - Do cheat codes disable achievements?: No Cheats - Does difficulty affect achievements?: In a way, but I'll get to that later The only reason I gave the game a 5/10 difficulty ranking is because to unlock the Level four weapon acquisition achievement, you must be playing on either Hard or Chaos difficulty, on a mission ranked 3 stars or higher for difficulty. Introduction: Warriors Orochi is like a mix of the Dynasty Warriors series and the Samurai Warriors series, which is to say, a standard hack & slash romp. There are four factions in the game, each with their own storyline and characters. To unlock all of the characters, you must pretty much complete all of the story and Gaiden (#-X) missions. Most of these are pretty straightforward, but some are a little more vague, so I'll detail the ones I had difficulty with. Also, remember to save after every level - you have to in order for the achievements to pop-up. Step 1: Story Playthrough First of all, you should play through the story of each faction, which shouldn't take overly long and will unlock all but four of the Gaiden stages (8-X for each faction) unless you met the criteria along the way. After completing all factions story modes, you should have 55characters unlocked, thus knocking out nineof the character achievements, as well as the fourstoryline achievements. Step 2: Unlocking the 8-X stages I'm going to say right now that unlocking the 8-X stages is hard. To unlock the 8-X stages in each story mode, you must fulfill a difficult criteria in Stage 7 of the story for each faction. The achievement guide has some great tips for doing this. The only one I had trouble with was Samurai Stage 7. I'd always get impatient instead of waiting and farming kills from the center castle. Step 3: Unlocking the rest of the characters Now, unlocking the rest of the characters involves certain criteria on the Gaiden (#-X) stages. To save space, check the achievement guide for how to unlock these characters. Once you do this, you only have a few more achievements to go. Step 4: Ability Farming, Level 4 Weapon, and Unique Item Mop-Up Now, if you unlocked all twelve base characters abilities, you should have 48 unlocked, taking care of two of the ability achievements. I suggest keeping a Notepad file handy to write down how many abilities you have and for which characters you have them. Some characters have four, and some have three, so it's best to keep track of it. The best level for farming is Shu Stage 1, as it's fairly short and has enough enemy Officers and enemies to fulfill any requirement. Now, onto the Level 4 Weapon. It's best to set the game to Hard difficulty and use a party of High-Level characters. I used a party of Ieyasu Tokugawa, Yoshihiro Shimazu, and Zhang Liao. They all have unbelievable attacks, which you'll need to take out the enemy Officers. If you don't get the Level 4 Weapon on the first try, keep trying, as they appear randomly on this level on Hard difficulty. As for the Unique Item, you have to fulfill a certain criteria on a level to unlock these, and when you fulfill the criteria, the part of the map where the item appears glows a little bit. The easiest one for me to unlock was Yoshihiro Shimazu. In Shu Stage 2-X, succeed in the ambush and then defeat Zhang He and 100 enemies within 2 minutes. Just haul ass over to Zhang He (the Cavalry skill works really good here), defeat him, then defeat 100 generic enemies. If done correctly, you'll get a notification that a unique item has appeared and it's in the north-western area of the map, you can't miss the box it's in. Conclusion If you are missing any achievements, you probably missed a character or didn't farm abilities enough. Just replay any levels you may have forgotten or keep trying to hit the correct character criteria to unlock the character. I will not list every single officer as the majority of them you gain just by completing the story missions. I will however list the tricky ones. Another thing to keep in mind is that certain officers won't join you if you have certain officers in your group. Such as when i was trying to get lady Noh. For the life of me I couldn't get her to join and I was sure I was doing everything I needed to. I took out Nobunaga and sure enough it worked. So I suggest using the default characters from each faction just to be safe. Shu Jiang Wei-In shu story 2-x have his ambush succeed. This is done by luring the enemy generals to your main camp. Ma Chao-In Samurai story 2-x make sure all the peasants escape safely and Ma Chao survives. Wei Cao Ren-In Samurai story 5-x save the Uesugi army in 2 minutes or less. Then escort the cavalry units to safely and finally defeat Cao Ren. Pang De-In Shu story 3-x rescue all of the yellow generals. Sima Yi-In Samurai story 6-x kill the 2 fleeing orochi generals thus foiling Sima's plan. They will appear after you defeat the first 2 generals on the map. Zhang He-In Wei story 2-x meet up with Zhang and this starts a coversation. Now make sure he stays alive for the duration of the battle and your HQ is defended. Zhen Ji-In Wei story 6-x play as Cao Pi. When the enemy sorcerers appear in the garrisons appear quickly defeat them and meet up with her. Clear the enemies from her path so that she is free to travel north. When she has gone far enough a fake Cao Pi will appear. Defeat the imposter and then finish out the mission. If not done fast enough it will not work. Wu Da Qiao-In Wu story 5-x have Sun Ce meet up with her before the enemy reaches her position. Lu Xun-In Samurai story 3-x meet up with him and then escort him back to your HQ. Others Da Ji-Clear every stage in the game, all basic story missions and -x missions. Diao Chan-Complete Wei 5-x with her still alive. Dong Zhuo-In Samurai story 4-x defeat all supply troops that are carrying the gold before they reach Dong. Lu Bu-To get Lu you will need to impress him. To do this you have to quickly defeat him in Wu, Wei, Shu and Samurai Stories 8-x. You will know that you did it in time if a message shows up stating that Lu Bu is impressed with your achievements. Orochi-Gain every officer other than Orochi. Zuo Ci-Finish the story for each of the factions. Samurai 1 Masamune Date-In Shu story 5-x follow all given directions. Goemon Ishikawa-In Shu story 4-x break all 10 of his treasure boxes before you defeat him. They are scattered along your path in a fairly linear path and are hard to miss. Kunoichi-In Wu story 4-x escort all the peasants to safety. Keiji Maeda-In Wu story 6-x you will be asked to hit a drum every so often to summon reinforcements. Once all the back up has arrived you will need to ensure that they reach Keiji's position safely before the timer gets down to 10 minutes. Then defeat him. No-In Wu story 3-x defeat all the messengers before they can escape. They spawn from the house at the bottom of the map. Samurai 2 Kotaro Fuma-In Wu Story 2-x seize the supply garrisons then escort the supply troops back to your HQ. Once they are all safe defeat Fuma. Tadakatsu Honda-You must impress Honda. To do this you will need to impress him in the 7-x stages for each faction. Shu-Make sure all peasants reach safety. Wei-Once the level begins quickly head south and rescue Honda's son and securing his garrison. Wu-Kill all of Honda's general's. Do this before you fight him. Kill Honda and then kill him again when he respawns. Samurai-Escort the messenger to safety, Move to Lu Bu's position to initiate a cutscene and after ward's Honda will appear, now make sure a Honda and Bu meet up and another cutscene will play, now kill Lu Bu, Stay away from Date and wait for your reinforcements to arrive, after they arrive kill Date. You must also ensure that all your officers remain alive. You will know if he is impressed when a message pops up (usually at the end of the level) stating that he is impressed with your achievements. Yoshimoto Imagawa-In Wei story 4-x defeat all of the enemy engineers before they enter the village. Now kill Shingen and Kenshin and he will appear. Begin fighting him but don't kill him. Slowly work him down and a converstion will start and he will power up. Make sure all converstions are done before you take him down. I believe there were 2 of them. Musashi Miyamoto-In Shu story 6-x you have to guide him to the damn, and then kill Lu Bu. Also, all allied officers must remain alive. Nene-In Wei story 3-x when the 2 clone Nenes show up defeat them within 4 minutes. There ya go you should now have all that you need to finish off the game. Hope this helps.

These achievements are easy to get just requires tedious farming. I've noticed that a lot of people have trouble with these not because of the difficulty but because they're confused as to how they work. Well no worries i'm here to elaborate. Each officer can aquire 1 ability per battle and earn you a total of 4 abilities. To earn these abilities certain requirements must be met such as kill 50 enemies, defeat 3 officers, etc. To check the requirement go to the team info menu and if they can earn an ability there will be a menu called "Ability". Go into it and it will tell you what you need to do. To check your total level of abilities go into the ability menu and off to the right of the name of the ability there will be a number. Add all the numbers up and that is your total. Tip: Here is the setup I used to farm for my ability gains. Use Wei Story Mission 2. It can be completed in about 5 minutes, has plenty of easy to kill enemy officers, and enough soldiers to meet any kill number requirements.
	Level four weapon acquisition	40

The trick is having Yukimura and Mistunari in your party. Yukimura's RB attack can kill enemy officers in two or three hits when he's around level 50/60 and Mitsunari's RB attack can clear out a lot of enemies easily and also take off a larger chunk from enemy officers. Level: Wu Chapter 4-X Battle of Wan Castle. This level is really tiny and the officers come in waves. Also, there are weapons in boxes around the level. Just make sure you open all the boxes in the area. A few will be weapons. I played the level twice and only got a 4th weapon for one character each time, but I did get the weapon at least once so achievement unlocked. Whether you get the weapon or not is pretty much random but the level is so easy, you won't mind running through it again anyway. Another weapon box is dropped by Pang De, I think. The easiest way to beat this is to stay where the peasants/lady samurai/etc escape through. This way, every time a new wave comes, you can run to each officer separately without getting flooded. Make sure you are at that escape gate when the last wave comes because then you can kill the last girl officer to end the level easier. When she appears, a male officer will appear by the gate. Kill him, let her run over, and then kill her without the other officers of the wave coming near. Super easy. Again the only tricky part is making sure multiple officers don't swarm you. Abilities to equip: Karma - raises luck Fortitude - raises defense Conserve - reduces Musou gauge usage. This is important for the RB attacks. Awakening - strengthens Musou attack Boost - strengthens charge attack Refill - refills Musou gauage in battle. Also important for the RB attacks. Potence - increases attack strength Another important thing is to make your character's equipped weapon have the right skills to make this level easy. I figured that the following skills on the weapons seemed most helpful. Fuse Yukimura's weapon with these skills: Bolt Flash Slay Absorb Air Brave Agility Might Fuse Mistunari's weapon with these skills: Bolt Flash Slay Absorb Air Brave Agility Might It's important to aim Yukimura's RB attack correctly... it will literally knock out officers so fast that they can't even hit you. I was around 55 with Yukimura and maybe 62 with Mistunari when I first tried this level. [Thanks to Lucent Beam for this description.]

Each character in the game has a unique item they can unlock if certain requirements in various stages are met. I will be detailing Zhou Yun's as it is the one I got and it wasn't too hard. While their might be an easier one out there I will be listing this one as it's the only one I know how to get. It is done on Shu Story Mission chapter 7 You have 10 minutes to accomplish the following: Defeat Zhang Fei, Guan Yu, go to the 3rd floor defeat the three officers to initiate the fire attack, and defeat 100 enemies. If you are successful a message will show up telling you a unique item has appeared. To find it, pause the game and look at your map. See the garrison in the bottom right hand corner. From there look northwest and there you should see an enemy spawn point with a red flag. The item will appear just outside that area. It is in a box with funky colors and designs on it (you'll know it when you see it). Another tip to help you locate it: When the message appears look at your on screen map there will be a flash of white circles at the location of the item.

	Unlock Shu Chapter 8-X	60

Select the mission Shu Chapter 7. Charge toward the center castle and seek out Zhang Fei. Defeat him and then enter the castle. Proceed to the second floor and defeat Guan Yu. After that climb to the third and final floor and you will find yourself locked up there and being ambushed by several officers. Defeat them and the gate leading down will open. Soon after the gate is open the enemy will set fire to the castle. Here is where the fun begins. You now need to exit the castle in 2 minutes or less to unlock 8-x. After you escape end the mission and the achievement is yours.

Thankfully this one is much easier than the other 8-x achievements. Load up Wei chapter 7. After the mission begins climb the mountain and stop the cannon fire by defeating Zhuge Liang and defeating the defense captain. Once you have silenced the cannons several officers will begin talking. The moment you have taken the mountain head straight for Dai Ji. Because as soon as she stops talking she betrays you and turns to the enemy. You have 1 minute to defeat her after she has turned to get the achievement. End the level and these points are yours.
	Unlock Wu Chapter 8-X	60

Select Wu chapter 7 and get started. This one can be a little tricky but it isn't too difficult. To get the achievement you are going to need to rescue Sun Jian within 3 minutes of the level starting. A helpful tip on this one to save you time is that when officers are having their scripted conversations you can pause the game. What this does is allows the conversations to continue while the timer remains stopped. Sun Jian is located in the bottom left hand corner. To rescue you him in time take the quickest route to him, and kill all the enemy officers that are near him. Finish the level and the achievement will be unlocked.

This one was a pain in the arse. I suggest having a high level character with a decent weapon to pull it off. You need to kill 1000 enemies on samurai chapter 7. Don't kill the officers that are fighting your officers on the initial front lines. They will hold them in check for a while giving you some time to plunge deep behind enemy lines and score kills before your team starts stealing your kills. Try to hang out near enemy spawn locations and wipe them out as they show up while avoid killing the base captains.
