Gameplay Help
· Vary your weapon loadout. The most effective weapons to have are an assault rifle, one crossbow, and the pistol. Also remember to use your clutch grenades, as these stick to the enemy, and guarantee you an easy kill. Don't forget that each weapon has a primary and secondary fire feature.
· Take advantage of your suit. Your time powers are your best friend, and give you a huge advantage over the AI. The slow time power seemed to work the best for me, as it drains the time bar fairly slowly, and still slows them down enough to pick them off with ease.
· Cover still exists! Your time bar won’t last forever, and there will be times when you need to play cheap. When you are truly overwhelmed by enemies, the best tactic is to get behind a piece of cover, quickly pop up and slow down time to dispatch a few goons.
· Perseverance. There are a few puzzles in this game which can be quite frustrating. They are not necessarily hard, but can spoil the gameplay if you get stuck on them for a while. The puzzles always involve you using your time powers, and the easiest option is pulling up a YouTube video, or reading through a walkthrough of the game.

Introduction
TimeShift is a fairly easy and straightforward game, and achievement-wise, has a variety of achievements which aren't too challenging, but are still fun to go for. There are no glitches to the game, and all achievements can be gained without any problems. It has been given a 3/10(With Boosting) because the campaign is very simple, even on the hardest difficulty, and all you need is one other person to gain all of the online achievements. It has an 8/10(Without Boosting) because the online population is dead, and there are usually less than five people online at peak hours.

Step 1 – Elite Difficulty
Elite difficulty is the hardest difficulty in the game, and is available right away. I highly recommend starting on this difficulty, as the achievements are stackable. When you complete each Act in the game on Elite difficulty, you will earn the respective achievements for Skilled and Casual difficulty as well.

Elite difficulty may sound a little intimidating, but once you get the feel of the controls, and get used to manipulating time, it becomes a cakewalk. At the end of this step, you should be on a minimum of 390. If you've followed the achievement guide thoroughly, you will probably have picked up some other miscellaneous achievements along the way.

There is also a set of achievements which require you to complete a level without dying, on each difficulty(Elite, Skilled and Casual). Note that it only says a level, not an entire act, making this achievement much easier than it sounds. I would suggest making good use of cover, and popping out while slowing down time. This seems to be the most effective method for taking enemies in the game out, so use it often!

Step 2 – Achievement Mop Up
There are a number of miscellaneous achievements in this game which you will get just by using your time powers, and generally experimenting with the game. These are all really simple, and the achievement guide details them all for you in excellent detail. Even the most casual of gamers will have no problem netting them, but there is one that you may miss called ‘All Fall Down’. For this achievement, you need to kill three enemies in one time stop. If you miss any of the achievements, then you can replay the levels and just net the last few. None require a lot of time or dedication, and can usually be done in less than ten minutes.

If you have gotten to this point of the Roadmap, and are still missing single-player achievements, then don't worry. None of the game's achievements are missable, as you can just use the replay level feature to net any campaign related achievements.

Step 3 – Multiplayer + DLC Achievements
All of the multiplayer achievements in this game can be achieved with just one other person, and they shouldn't take more than six hours for both players to achieve them all. If you cannot find a friend to help boost all of these achievements with, you'll want to check out the achievement thread, which you can find either at the top of this Road Map, or right HERE. The only achievement which may take a while is ‘TimeShift Champion’, in which you need to gain 100 multiplayer wins. This won’t take very long at all, but it is one of the longest achievements in the game. After boosting all the other achievements, you should have around 10-20 wins. From there, set up a 1v1 match with insta-kill on, and play on the Rooftops map. Each win should take around 20 seconds, including loading time.

The DLC related achievements are all in the same vein as the regular online achievements, and are nothing special. They require you to do several achievements similar to the original 1k achievements, but on the DLC maps. Assuming that you have been sticking to this Roadmap, you should have all the achievements in the game, except for one, and have 1235 .

It is also helpful if you keep rotating maps when you are going for different achievements or your previous game has ended, as ‘The Anytime, Any Place’, ‘DLC 1 Expert’ and ‘DLC 2 Expert’ achievements all require you to win on every map. These maps include the ones that shipped with the game, and the ones that are tied in to each DLC package.

Step 4 – Very Gracious Achievement
For this achievement, you need to leave your Xbox 360 on for a total of 48 hours. You do not actually need to do anything, except start a dedicated server, and leave your Xbox for two days. This is the reason why the game will take a minimum of 48 hours to obtain all of the gamerscore. See the achievement guide for more details regarding it.

Conclusion
Timeshift is not a hard game to complete, so long as you're willing. With the proper use of your time powers, and cover, no enemies will pose a threat to you, even on Elite. Even the multiplayer achievements in the game aren't hard, provided you have a good boosting partner.

  • Complete Act 6 "Alpha District Revisited" on Elite difficulty

First of all, I will say that the difficulty achievement do stack, so beating the game on Elite difficulty will unlock the achievements for Casual and Skilled. I recommend playing through Elite the first time as the campaign is very simple so long as you take your time and use your time powers wisely. There are a six acts all together, which consist of a total of twenty four levels. Here are some helpful tips for playing on Elite:

    • Try to avoid rushing in, the enemy can take you down fairly quickly if you aren't careful.
    • Use your time powers, they will save your life and they make the game a lot easier.
    • If you are outnumbered and are struggling, try using the explosive crossbow combined with the Time Stop power to pick enemies off from a distance.
    • Don't forget, you can use your time powers while on vehicles.

The campaign is pretty simply but there are a few tricky parts so if you get stuck at any point, refer to this walkthrough.

  • Complete a level without dying on Casual difficulty

Please see "Death-Proof" for more information.
  • Complete a level without dying on Skilled difficulty

Please see "Death-Proof" for more information.
  • Complete a level without dying on Elite difficulty

To unlock this achievement, you need to beat any level without dying, not an entire act. Simply remember to take cover if you need to recover health and make good use of your time powers. The easiest way to unlock this achievement, is by completing the level at the begining of act three. You start the level on a Helicarrier where you need to shoot down bombers. Just beat this level without dying and the achievement will unlock. This achievement also stacks, so if you beat it on Elite difficulty, then you will unlock the achievements for Casual and Skilled difficulties.
  • Tag 15 enemies with Clutch Grenades

This achievement is fairly simple, all you need to do is stick fifteen enemies with Clutch Grenades. An easy way to do this is to find an enemy, activate "Stop Time" by pressing then and throw the Grenade with so that it sticks to them. Repeat this until the achievement unlocks.
  • Play 100 multiplayer games

Simply play one hundred online multiplayer games to unlock this achievement. Both Ranked and Player matches count. Also, when hosting a dedicated server, each game played on your server counts towards this achievement.

Note: None of the Multiplayer achievement unlock until after the match has ended.

  • Win 100 multiplayer games

For this achievement all you need to do is win one hundred games. This can be done in either Ranked or Player matches. The quickest way to unlock this achievement is to host games with one kill to win and providing you get that kill, this achievement shouldn't take you too long.
  • Kill 50 opponents in Time Grenades or Time Fields

Simply press to throw your Time Grenade at an enemy and once they are inside take them out in whatever way you see fit. Repeat this fifty times for the achievement. This can be done in either Ranked or Player matches.
  • Score a Fury Kill

You can earn a Fury Kill by earning five kills within fifteen seconds of each other. This can be unlocked in either a Player or Ranked match. This can be very difficult to do, especially since not very many people play this game anymore. It is possible to boost for this achievement though. Start a match on mp1 with respawns set to instant and death set to instant. The person getting the kills should go in the small cage-like room with the red light and the ladder leading down and aim out of the door. The other person should stand down that alley and get killed. You will respawn very close to that area, so just run back out in front of the alley and die. Repeat until the game shows you got a fury kill. It will unlock after the match.

  • Go on a Reaper Spree

You can earn a reaper spree by killing twenty-five people in a row without dying in a single match. This can be done in a ranked or player match. In order to unlock this you will need to set the match to a high kill count or flag limit.
  • MVP

    20

Capture 25 flags in Capture the Flag

For this achievement simply grab the flag either from the opposing base or from a dead teammate and return it to your flag for it to count. Repeat this process twenty-five times for the achievement to unlock.
  • Yoink!

    20

Retrieve 50 flags in Capture the Flag

To retrieve a flag, you will need to run over your own flag after an enemy has dropped it. You can kill them yourself or steal the retrieve when someone else kills them, it doesn't matter. An easy way to boost for this achievement is to have a friend come to your base and grab the flag, then use the function on the Time Grenade (hold down to switch functions). This will cause them to drop the flag so you can retrieve it. Then have them grab it again and repeat.
  • Score 30 headshots with any weapon in multiplayer games

The two easiest weapons for this achievement are the Sniper Rifle and the Shatter Gun. To tell if you have acquired a headshot, a voice will say "headshot" if it was succesfull. If you prefer the sniper rifle, there are a couple of maps that have sniper towers in them so that should make it a little easier.
  • Kill 25 opponents with melee attacks in multiplayer games

Unfortunetly it takes more than one melee shot to kill a completely healthy enemy so wear them down with some bullets and then melee him. The easiest way to unlock this is to use your Time Shield ( + ). Run up to an enemy and the Time Shield will act like a Time Bubble for your opponent and they will stop moving. Now you have all the time in the world to melee him.
  • Host and complete 10 games with custom presets

Host a Player Match (can not be Ranked) and when setting up the match, choose a few custom presets. There are a lot of options to choose from, so you shouldn't have any problems with this. When you make the custom presets, you have to name it and save it onto your storage device. Then, whenever you decide to host a game, it will be there under whatever named you decided to give it. This does not reset when you turn off your xbox so you can shut down your console and come back with your saved presets.
  • Host a dedicated server for 48 hours total then quit

When setting up a room, just set Dedicated Server to ON. The screen will go black and will show the names of people who join. I would suggest only doing this a few hours at a time to not put too much strain on your xbox.
Note: This does NOT have to be fourty eight hours straight. Also, people don't actually have to use the server for it to count. As long as you set it up and let it run, the time will count.

  • Win a Ranked Deathmatch game by at least 5 kills

Please see "King Me!" for more information.
  • Win a Ranked King of Time game by at least 5 kills

As the description says, this must be a ranked match. With the low number of people playing the game, you should be able to start a match with only two people and get it with a friend. If you manage to find a real game, just use your Time Grenades and get the good guns.
  • Win a Ranked 1v1 game without dying once

If you host a match and set the kills to one, you have a fifty percent chance at getting this one. Just try to trap the other player in a Time Grenade and finish him off quickly. This must be done in a ranked match.
  • Win a Ranked Capture the Flag game without the other team capturing your flag

Again, this must be done in a ranked match. Play a good defensive game and only go for the flag when you have a few of their players dead. This achievement can be difficult and requires quite a bit of skill (and luck), so just keep at it.
  • Win a Ranked Meltdown Madness game by at least 30 seconds.

In order to shutdown your opponent's reactor, you must throw time grenades at it. Your time meter does NOT refill automatically in this game type so you will need to keep going back for Energy Packs. Win by at least 30 seconds to get this achievement. Again, this must be done in a ranked match.
  • Win a Ranked match

Win any Ranked match. It doesn't matter which gametype you win, so long as it is Ranked the achievement will unlock.
  • Win a Ranked match on every map

There are a total of fourteen maps. You must win any Ranked gametype on all of the maps to unlock the achievement.
  • Win a Ranked match in every game mode

There are a total of six gametypes. Win a Ranked game of each one to unlock this achievement.
  • Score 30 kills while trapped in a Time Grenade

This is probably one of the hardest achievements in the game. There are two option that you have to aquire a kill while in a Time Grenade. One: get caught in someone's time bubble, and hope to kill them before they kill you. Nine times out of ten you will die, but eventually you will get a few kills. Two: trap both yourself and an opponent in a Slow Time Bubble. This way, neither one of you have a true advantage and you have a fifty percent chance of getting the kill.
