Of course, if it's like yahtzee where you get multiple rolls, your odds are increased significantly. If you get three rolls (Yahtzee rules) and you're strictly going for five-of-a-kind, the odds are roughly 1 in 22 (around 4.6%).

	Comment #5 by Khazalid Saturday, March 10, 2012 @ 02:52:37 AM Witcher 2 has the same system as the first Witcher, which means you roll two times per match and after 1st roll you can select dices to re-roll. What it means if you get say, 3 of kind in first roll, you can re-roll remaining 2 dices, which ups your chances considerably.

I think the computer has already got five or so five of a kinds in about 60 games. Me on the other hand? Several four of a kinds. So time consuming. I don't mind the skill achievements, Dark difficulty, but luck ones are crap.

Tried the method in the video many times, I am inclined to believe that those who had this method work were simply getting lucky...sure you can control how they fall to an extent, but you can't control how they are arranged before rolling, which is what really matters. Couple of times I got 4 of a kind on first roll and the bastard resigns lol. Not a fun achievement. Welp, back to it.

I just played for over an hour in during the first act and the other guy resigned almost every time I got 3 of a kind or more on the first role. Then I finally got a five of a kind with 2's and he didn't resign. Well, I didn't re-roll any of the dice and won the game but didn't get the achievement. Seems buggy at best on top of the blind luck.

And the worst part it's time wasting too. I feel the pain of some of you, the first 5 of a kind I rolled was on the first roll... so guess who resigned immediately.. Anyhow, the best chance you have is to just gently nudge your right stick and hope for the best.

Easiest way is using the game in the prologue, throwing gently until you get 3 or 4 of a kind on your first roll, then using the corner truck to line up the remaining dice. After 2hrs of trying in Act2 I got this in 5mins by starting a new game.

You need three of a kind in first, then your chance to get a concrete pair in second is 1:36, so not so bad :) My advice - Place your butt in a comfortable chair, take a beer, and stay calm ;)

I tried accumulatively 6-7 hours, still nothing, then started a new game on easy level and got it after 10-15 tries. So I think on an easier level you have 'greater luck'. Those struggle with it like me should try it by starting a new game on easy level. Hope it helpes someone.
