Switchball is a game that most people will find difficult to obtain all of the achievements from. Novice players may find it difficult merely to complete the game, while even the most advanced gamers may experience difficulties getting the gold medals on each and every level. The time required to complete Switchball largely depends on skill and how many tries it will take you to acquire the gold medals.
Switchball is an action game, with a few puzzle elements, that involves moving a ball around on a playing field in order to reach the goal. If you were to play the entire game perfectly, the game could in theory be finished in only one playthrough. If you need to replay part of the game, which you likely will, you can replay whichever levels you need instead of starting again from the beginning.
Step 1: Offline
In order to obtain all of the offline achievements in one playthrough, you will need to complete every singleplayer level getting a gold medal on each level. For help in regards to earning a gold medal on each level, please refer to THIS thread (Note, the videos in the thread are for the PC version, but the two games are similar enough that you still should be able to obtain all of the gold medals). The only other thing to watch out for on your offline playthrough is that you will need to find three hidden paths. They should come naturally to you if you are trying to obtain your gold medals, but if you are still experiencing difficulties, please refer to the Spyglass achievement in the achievement guide below.
Step 2: Online
For the online portion of Switchball, you will need to win 10 online ranked races and complete all of the cooperative levels. To switch between ranked matches and player matches, press before creating or searching for a game. Switchball’s online mode is pretty well dead so your best chance of finding a match will be in the achievement trading thread located HERE. Compared to the singleplayer levels, the online levels are very easy to complete and should present no challenge.
At this point, you should have all of the achievements for Switchball if you followed this road map. If you are missing any achievements, you may want to double check that you have not missed playing any of the single player levels, which can happen in Skyworld. If you did not receive the Speedball Medal and Honor Medal achievements, double check that you played ranked races, it’s a common mistake that people play Player Matches instead. If you are still experiencing any problems, please refer to the achievement guide below.

Complete Skyworld 3
Single Player "World Completion" Achievements:
There are 5 worlds with 6 levels per world. The names of the worlds, in order, are Skyworld, Iceworld, Caveworld, Cloudworld and Lavaworld. Note there is no acheivement for beating Cloudworld (World 4.) This is the only world without a specific achievement. Note that the Skyworld achievement is unlike the other "World" achievements in that it only asks for you to complete the first 3 levels. There is also one miscellaneous achievement in the Single Player mode called "Spyglass." That is covered at the end of the guide and not in the Single Player section.
For this achievement you have to beat the first 3 levels of the game (1-1,1-2,1-3.) These 3 levels are introductory levels and shouldn't cause to many problems. There is no time stipulation for beating the levels, simply finish them as fast as you can. They are only the first half of Skyworld and there are 3 more levels in this world. You can go to the next world (Iceworld) after beating Level 1-3 but you should probably just beat all 6 levels, trying to do them all in Silver Medal time (see "Medal Achievements below) and then continue on to Iceworld.
This achievement asks you to beat 6 levels (2-1 through 2-6) in Iceworld. There are not time constraints for completion achievements, simply beat the levels. If you are having trouble or are stuck on any puzzle you can refer to the Speed Run guide for that level right here and it should help you beat the level.
This achievement asks you to beat 6 levels (3-1 through 2-6) in Caveworld. There are not time constraints for completion achievements, simply beat the levels. If you are having trouble or are stuck on any puzzle you can refer to the Speed Run guide for that level right here and it should help you beat the level.
This achievement asks you to beat the final 6 levels (5-1 through 5-6) in Lavaworld. Note that Cloudworld (World 3) does not have a Completion Achievement. If you are having trouble or are stuck on any puzzle you can refer to the Speed Run guide for that leve right here and it should help you beat the leve.
Collect one Silver Medal
Single Player "Medal" Achievments:
The medals go from Bronze, to Silver to Gold depending on how fast you complete each level. The medal you have received for your run will appear in the middle of the screen at the bottom when you roll into the goal at the end of each level. If no medal appears no medal was awarded so try to go as fast as you can through each level. You can also check what your highest medal earned for each level is by selecting the world (i.e. Iceworld) and then looking above each level within the world. If there is no medal above the level then you have not gotten a medal for that level.
The first time you get a time good enough to award you a Silver Medal this achievement will unlock. You can probably do this on your first or second try on the very first level. If you don't get it to unlock you can restart the level from the begining from the pause menu.
Collect 12 Silver Medals
This achievement has you getting a Silver Medal (explained above) in each of 12 levels. A good way to do this is not to move on to the next set of worlds until you've gotten Silver Medals in that level, never moving on until you've gotten at least a Silver Medal. This will help in memorizing what to do in each level to keep your times low, instead of having to come back to each level to relearn them because you blew through them all. If you restart each level until you get a Silver Medal in each one, you should get the achievement after completing Iceworld Level 6 (2-6.) If you need help, refer to the "Speedroller Master" achievement for a link to the thread for Speed Runs by level.
Collect 24 Silver Medals
You must get Silver Medals in 24 levels by finishing each level in the allotted time for a Silver Medal. Your strategy should be the same as with "Speedroller Trainee" directly above, keep restarting each level until you get a Silver Medal on it unless you want to go back and rememorize each level at this point. If you restart each level until you get a Silver Medal on each one you should unlock this after completing Cloudworld Level 6 (4-6.) If you need help, refer to the "Speedroller Master" achievement for a link to the Speed Runs by level.
Collect gold Medal on all levels
This is a very tricky achievement well worth all 30 gamerscore points you'll receive for it. For this acheivement you'll have to get a Gold Medal time on all 30 levels in the game (up through 5-6.) The only advice I can give you here is to use the YouTube videos in the Speed Run thread right here and practice, practice, practice. The videos should definitely help on a lot of the levels to find a lot of shortcuts as well as "Hidden Paths" so that this goal is attainable. Credit for videos go to the people that put them up on YouTube. Good luck!
|Win 5 multiplayer races||(3)|
Multiplayer Online "Win" Achievements:
Select "Multiplayer Game" from the main menu and press to change the type of the match from Player Match to Ranked Match. Wins in Ranked Match play are what count towards these acheivements.
Go online in Ranked Matches and beat your opponent in 5 race events. You can use a boosting partner if need be but you could probably do this achievement by yourself without many problems.
|Win 10 multiplayer races||(2)|
Go online in Ranked Matches and beat your opponent in 10 race events. You can use a boosting partner if needed but like "Speedball Medal" this shouldn't be necessary if you just play normally.
|Complete all cooperative levels||(2)|
Simple enough, grab a friend and knock out all the co-op levels.
Find Three hidden paths
There are what the game refers to as "Hidden Paths" in certain levels that can dramatically help with the times for each level and can get you past some of the more difficult obstacles in these levels by simply bypassing them. The link provided right here will help you find them by telling you what levels they appear on and how to find them. When you find a Hidden Path and complete it to it's end you will have a blue screen pop up with text that reads "you have found a hidden path." If you find 3 of these Hidden Paths throughout the game you will be awarded with this achievement. Again, the link to the thread with Hidden Path locations is right here.
