The helicopter will come after Jake says "I'm taking that chopper out", to do this achievement you must be Jake as he is the only one to swing from the pole to the ladder to get to the highest point where it will drop more Jo'avo, at this point you must be near that rope and must do a quick time event in order to grab on to the rope, then climb up the rope and shoot the pilot. So far the starting pistol will get you this achievement.

It's because I was playing as Piers with a partner as Chris and he got me the achievement for not damaging the helicopter
