Your exact progress can be seen and you won't waste time thinking that you are getting to the 100% by doing other pointless things within the game. |

That broke the games brain because it didn't know whether to mark him as alive or dead; whatever. I did the math with the strategy guide, i'm at like 98.5% because of that dumbass bounty not counting for anything. Always assume the game is touchy and will gladly screw you over. Looking for help with multiplayer achievements, hit me up. |

I think it's some sort of glitch because according to my Rockstar profile, it says that I've done all the requirements except I apparenlty haven't been to 3 different spots on the map (when in fact I have, dozens of times) and it also says I didn't get the Bandito Outfit, when in fact I DID get it and I can access it from my menu whenever I go to a save point. This is bogus. |

 | Comment #65 by bills376 Thursday, August 02, 2012 @ 01:58:40 PM this one took awhile and was tough, but i finaly got it and it was really fun to get especially the 8 challenges. the hard part was the bounty locations. i thought there was one target at one location and i hed everthing except one in languna borrego and i had to keep going back. i gave after a few times and a couple months later i went back and tried again and got the last one in mexico. hope this helps anyone who having trouble with the bounties. oh and the eaist way to clear the new austin hideouts is start at pikes basin in the moring so its bright andd you can then move west and do gaptooth breach last since its a cave and there wont be sun in there anyway. it was easier than it thought. it only took me about 12 or 13 hours in the games time so dont worry. and if you die dont worry ab |

By the time I was done with everything else I had 93.5%, with nothing but some bounty locations, some rare weapons, U.S. hideouts in 24 hours, and one stranger I had missed. If you are stuck in the 90's odds are you are in a similar position. Several bounties must be collected from each region, new bounties will spawn between 7:00 and 7:00 if you wait around. One thing that tripped me up at the end that may be obvious to others: that stolen safe you have to return to armadillo by wagon is not one of the 5 U.S. hideouts you have to complete in 24 hours. All in all it was a lot of fun to track everything down. If you've played through the game I recommend going for it. |

With the Mauser this leaves you with 15 bullets to disarm 6 enemies. Since you can't reload your weapon anymore, you can go into and out of dead eye and still complete the challenge. Hope this is helpful. |

If you're good, equip your bandana first. Make sure you're full on medicine and tobacco. As soon as you enter the backroom of the bank crouch in front of the safe on the right. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO WASTE AMMO!! Just make sure, YOU DO NOT LET GO OF THE LEFT TRIGGER UNTIL COMPLETED. I've beat this game countless times and you can beat Sharpshooter 10, with the Springfield Rifle. Yes, the one with a clip cap of 4. After you fire the first shot from dead eye, your clip will go down to 3, which is normal. As long as you hold the left trigger and cancel dead eye on your own, it will pull every shot after that from your total capacity, instead |

WAY TOO frustrating with Dead Eye Level 2! If you're having trouble with the hats, try the preacher out in front of the Armadillo saloon. Equip your bandanna, first though. Then look in the saloon for one of the Walton Gang members that has a top hat. Aim for the very top, the middle-ish isn't usually good enough. If you kill him, you won't get into trouble with the law, unless one is standing SO close he feels threatened. Some times, civilians with guns will open fire for the same reason, but if you heal and run outside, everyone who shot you will get mowed down by the law! |

Keep in mind you can kill it from horseback with your knife. It takes a little getting used to, but it makes you more mobile and if it starts running away, it's easier to rundown. If you're on foot, use a tree or rock to run around. It's also easier if you're in or near Beecher's Hope. Make the bear chase you into the property, because for some reason aggressive animals are LESS likely to attack you. They are however, more likely to run off if attacked, though. Another good reason to do this from horseback, is because I RARELY run into just one bear. Almost every time I whistle for my horse, a bear shows up. |
| Comment #78 by Lemon38 Monday, April 08, 2013 @ 06:25:27 AM One thing I forgot about the Sharpshooter missions. It's not enough to shoot the gun hand. You have to shoot the gun! The law files into the backroom of the bank one at a time from the very outside. They get really close, which makes it SUPER easy to shoot their guns. Just make sure when you go into the menus for health or tobacco, that before you select the item, you pull and hold the left trigger. If you want to check your progress in the menus, just make sure afterwards that you pull the left trigger before you back out into the game. |
| Comment #79 by Lemon38 Monday, April 08, 2013 @ 06:34:39 AM With any of the challenges that say, "kill 2 (or however many) of ANY wild animals." I always clear out the Twin Rocks hideout. Then use the vultures that circle around. They won't fly off if you miss, so it makes them ideal. For the tomahawk challenge, where you have to kill a flying bird, just climb one of the buildings, so you're closer to'em. It won't actually "pop" until you leave the area, which is usually away from the stone wall that circles the hideout. I don't know why this is, so don't freak out if it's not popping right away. |

What I mean is, you can use Armadillo for all 8 New Austin bounties. Just make sure when you're tracking down your target, that you wait until you see the words, "you can capture or kill your target," before you engage ANY of the bad guys around the area. For some reason the locations won't count if you're picking'em off too early. |

However, this tip only puts the odds in your favor, it doesn't guarantee a win. You can go on a losing streak just easily as you can go on a winning streak. First thing, you can either force a duel or point your gun at someone at the table. Reason being, it's a lot easier to beat one person than multiple. I fold until one of two things happens. Either I get a pair or at least one of my cards is a 10 or higher. Once you get a hand you like, the next thing is betting. The key is to only increase the bet by lowest amount possible. This encourages the computer to engage in a back and forth bet. I.e. it won't scare the computer from betting. I tend to win more hands than not, by thi |
