I believe this has to be done all in one race. cause i was doing it in a local match and counting and it didnt pop up till i did it all in one race. |

this guide is double wrong. it has to be upwards AND in the same match. no other combination i did worked.
however it can be boosted with multiple controllers. i only have two so it was a little tougher, but i still got it;) |

The direction Does matter!!! has to be Upwards, like say in the description of the Achievement. |

Um. It does NOT have to be done all in one race.
I got this achievement a long time ago, so I could potentially be incorrect. But I'm pretty positive you do not need to do it in the same race. The odds of getting the Thunder Staff 10 times in one race are a little ridiculous. Lol. |

I can confirm that:
1. Direction does matter.
2. This can be done in local multiplayer
3. It does not have to be done in a single race.
4. With luck, you can get ten thunder staff hits in one race. I got nine in mine, then the tenth in the next leg of the Grand Prix. |

Regardless of your confirmation, Ive tried to obtain this achievement recently and it just refuses to unlock. Ive played maybe 20 or so grand prix with three other local players not caring about winning zapping them upwards with the staff at every opportunity.

#7 is right. They do need to be upward, it can be done locally and you don't need them all in a single race. |
