Introduction:
Welcome to Rainbow Six Vegas 2. This game has a total of 47 achievements worth 1000 . The achievements for this game are not too difficult and a majority of them can be boosted.

There is currently a glitch on the Freedom Shall Prevail achievement. If you play through the game while hosting a co-op match then you might not get the achievement. To get around this, you can just play through the game by yourself, it is not extremely hard if you use a lot of cover and use your teammates wisely. If you really are having trouble playing by yourself though, if you play through in co-op and don’t get the achievement, have someone else host a match and you should get it after playing a few scenes.
There is also a glitch for the Private First Class achievement. If you can connect to Live then you will download a patch to allow you to get the achievement once you reach the proper rank, but if you cannot connect to Live then you will be unable to get this achievement.
If you do not have an Xbox Live Vision Camera then you will be unable to get the full 1000. There is an achievement where you have to use the camera to take a picture of yourself and use it to create a character.
NOTE: If an achievement can be achieved online or offline, I counted it as an offline achievement.

Step 1: Realistic Playthrough
When you first load the game up, you will be prompted to create a character. If you have an Xbox Live Vision Camera then use it to take a picture of yourself to customize your character and get the achievement. If you don’t like how it turns out, you can change it later.
I highly suggest playing through the game on realistic difficulty first. The game is not extremely difficult but it can be challenging at times. The easiest way to complete the game on Realistic is by playing in co-op. You can either play in co-op with a separate controller or over Xbox Live. If you play through the game in co-op you will also not need to go back and replay any missions to get the co-op achievements.
During the game you will have to fight through various close quarters situations. While in these areas, it is best to use a shotgun. If you kill enough enemies you will also get an achievement.
When you are using an automatic rifle, it is best to use a Silencer. This will prevent enemies from hearing you so you can sneak up on them and kill them easier. You will come to various areas where you will look around cover and there will be a lot of enemies. These are the best places to kill 5 enemies in a row with head shots. Take your time while aiming, you should only need one shot.
When you are climbing on ropes and you see enemies, it is best to not shoot them in the head or get and other kind of bonus other than just a normal kill. If you get a head shot bonus or any other bonus other than a rope kill, this kill will not count towards killing 25 enemies while on a rope.
You should be able to rank up a lot during this playthrough. You rank up by getting kills and completing A.C.E.S challenges.

Step 2: Terrorist Hunts
By now, you should have 15 achievements if you played through in co-op and got all the extra achievements but if you didn’t get any extra achievements and played through solo then you will only have 8. Now it is time for you to do terrorist hunt missions. There are only 4 Terrorist Hunt achievements but you can get any extra achievements that you may have missed during the story mode.
When you first start, it is best to play on Realistic with a full room of 4 people in co-op. By playing with 3 other people, if one of you dies, you can continue playing and still complete the level. If you host a room then the game will keep track of the last map that you played a mission on. When you try to complete every mission, host a room to play through them and change the settings to cycle through all the maps. Once you complete a map, take it out of the rotation. It is easy to keep track of the remaining maps you have to complete by doing this because they will be the only maps remaining in the rotation.

Step 3: Multiplayer
Once you have received every single player achievement, it is time to play some multiplayer. You will need at least 6 people in the room for all of these achievements, so if you host a game, make sure you don’t start until there are six people.
It is best to play Attack and Defend to get all of those achievements, Survival to kill 5 enemies in a row without respawns, and then play Team Leader to get that achievement, get all your remaining kills, and then rank up your remaining levels.
While you are going for these achievements, work on getting all of the weapon kill achievements. Once you have the achievement for one type of weapon, switch to another type to get that achievement.
The easiest way to get all of these achievements is by setting up a room with 6 people total and then boosting the achievements. To find other people to boost with, look in the Achievement Trading Thread.

Step 4: Mop Up
Once you have completed all of the multiplayer achievements, you need to rank up the rest of the way and complete all of you’re A.C.E.S challenges. The easiest way to rank up is by playing Team Leader. For a way to get easy A.C.E.S points, look here.

Conclusion:
This game is not hard to get the full 1000 in, but it might take a really long time to achieve the rank of Elite and complete the game. If you are still missing single player achievements after playing through the story and all of the terrorist hunt missions, then the easiest way to get them is by replaying some terrorist hunt missions and only going for those achievements.

    (2)

    See "Completed Estate"

  • Complete Estate in Story Mode at any difficulty.

These achievements are story related, you will obtain them at the end of each act. Each act has up to four scenes so don't expect an achievement at the end of every scene. You can unlock these in co-op or single player and on any difficulty and can also check which scenes you may have skipped by seeing if there's a check mark in the box when you go to scene selection.
  • Complete the Story Mode on Realistic difficulty.

    (4)
At the time of the writing of this guide, this achievement is in what we call a 'semi-glitched' state. This means that some people may not be able to unlock it despite verifying that they have completed every scene on Realistic. Most of the people who have trouble seem to have played in co-op, so unless you really need the extra help I would advise playing in single player. The most common fix is to be Player 2 in a co-op match and playing a few scenes. See this thread for more info on the status of the glitch, and recommendations on how to get around it

If you are playing solo, here are some suggestions:
    • Use your squad extremely wisely. For every step of the way and for every room, move them to cover ahead of yourself and wait until they have completely cleared the area before moving ahead. When all appears safe, you should still send them further into the room and toward your objective marker to make absolutely sure that there are no enemies remaining.
    • Use snake cam to your advantage. You have the ability to tag enemies from here as well as move your squad around the room. You may find yourself skillfully clearing an entire room without leaving snake cam.
    • Use the tagging feature to your advantage. Assuming you'll be keeping away from the action, try to find good cover from which you scan your crosshair across the battlefield, tapping LB frequently until you find enemies. You can use this to either clear a room faster or protect yourself and your squad from the more dangerous enemies.
    • Try using the shield and pistol method. You unlock the shield by getting to the last level of Assault in ACES. See the "Weapon Collector" achievement for tips on how to level up faster. You can also pick up a shield in a mission and it will stay in your outfitting until you change it for something else.
  • Kill 150 terrorists with a Shotgun.

    (1)
This achievement can be unlocked in story mode or terrorist hunt only, not in online adversarial. You might as well play on an easy difficulty to prevent frustration. Pick your favourite shotgun and find a spot where many enemies come to you and just mow them down. See the "Weapon Collector" achievement for a video with good locations for this.
  • Unlock every weapon in the game.

    (6)
For this achievement you must get all of your ACES levels maxed out, which will unlock each weapon along the way. To see your progress with and to see how many points you can get for different actions, press pause and select ACES.

I recommend playing a bit of story mode, terrorist hunt and adversarial to get a feel for the game and get started on your ACES levels. When you're done with that or if you just want to get started with boosting right away, watch the video below. If you can wait, work on all the online achievements first, you will get most your ACES points while getting your 1000 kills and whatnot.

  • Kill 25 enemies while suspended from a rope.

    (7)
You must be the one on the rope, it doesn't mean to kill other enemies that are suspended from ropes. This can be unlocked through a combination of campaign, terrorist hunt and adversarial... the first two being the easiest. When playing through the story mode you may find some places that you notice would be good for this achievement. Otherwise, a good map for doing it in terrorist hunt is Presidio. From the start, go to your left and on the rappel rope between two doors. Look back and forth between them and fire your gun a bit and enemies will start pouring out. Try to kill five or so each time and you will then likely die. Just restart the level and repeat until you get the achievement. Some other maps with rappel ropes are: CQB Training, Kill House and Streets.
  • Neutralize 5 terrorists in a row by performing headshots using a Sound Suppressor.

    (3)
You can attach a sound suppressor (silencer) to Assault Rifles, Pistols, Submachine Guns and some Snipers. You can try just working on this anywhere you want, but in the end Presidio comes out on top as the best spot to nab the achievement. Set up a terrorist hunt on any difficulty on Presidio. Attach your silencer by holding X and pressing LEFT on the D-PAD. From the start, go straight ahead, open the door on the left then turn around and quickly duck behind the pile of boxes that juts out from the wall. Hold UP on the LEFT THUMBSTICK so you're up above cover and wait for the enemies to start pouring out of the door you just opened. Aim your crosshair at head level and fire in bursts... you should get this on your first try.
  • Complete 5 scenes as Bishop's teammate, Knight, in co-op Story mode at any difficulty.

See "Here's for a Wicked Five!"

  • Complete 10 scenes as Bishop's teammate, Knight, in co-op Story mode at any difficulty.

    (3)
These achievements are obtained by joining someone else's story mode and completing the required number of scenes. You can either set up a local split screen co-op session with a friend and put their profile as controller one and yours as controller two, or join a friend over XBox Live. Just make sure that you are the player who can not order the squad around. A scene is likely shorter than you think, because each act is divided into multiple scenes.
  • Complete your first Terrorist Hunt mission at any difficulty.

    See "Veteran Hunter"
  • Complete 5 Terrorist Hunt missions at any difficulty.

These achievements can be obtained through terrorist hunt in either single player, split screen or online. I recommend playing on the easiest difficulty to get them over with unless you want to knock out "Extreme Hunter" at the same time. You should put the enemy density on low and just carefully move through the level until you have defeated every terrorist.
  • Lead your team to Victory 20 times in Team Leader with at least 6 players present.

This achievement must be obtained through multiplayer adversarial, the game type being Team Leader.

    How the game works:

If a leader kills another player, that player can no longer respawn. If a leader dies, the entire team can no longer respawn. If a leader gets to the designated extraction point, their team wins. If both leaders are dead, it becomes like a survival match and the last team standing gets the win. To become a leader, you must kill the other leader in the match beforehand and if nobody kills him it is chosen randomly. You get a credit toward the achievement if your team wins while you were the leader.

    Getting this achievement without boosting:

Focus on killing the opposing leader, otherwise you will never get a chance to be one. Many people hide at the spawn if they are a leader and sometimes have a bodyguard with them. Therefore, try rushing to the spawn right away and throw grenades in corners in hopes for a kill. When you become the leader, the best action to take is to hide fairly far away from your spawn, ideally looking at the red extraction point to stop the enemy from reaching it. Encourage your team to kill the opposing leader while you hide and then have them finish off everyone else or try to rush to the extraction point if there's only one enemy remaining. Win twenty times while being the leader and you will get the achievement.

    Getting this achievement with Boosting:

You will need 6 players, so find 5 other people willing to boost in the achievement trading thread.

Have someone host a player match with a max of 6 players and 5 private slots, doing Team Leader on Kill House. Take turns getting each person the achievement. You may want to split it into two turns per person where they get 10 wins each time so nobody leaves when they are done. Whoever's turn it is must first become the leader, so spend a round having them kill the opposing leader to get started. Then, have each team go to the rooftops or long catwalk on Kill House where the person getting the achievement quickly takes out the opposing team, it should only take 15 seconds. Have the host start the matches right away when they're over and you should get through everybody fairly quickly.
  • Complete all Terrorist Hunt missions on Realistic difficulty.

    (2)
This achievement can be obtained in either single player or co-operative terrorist hunt on Realistic difficulty and you can set the enemy density as low as you wish. I suggest working with other people to go through each map and just play very carefully, perhaps with a shield, until you complete each map. You can check your progress by going to Terrorist Hunt in the Main Menu and seeing what difficulty you've completed each map on.
  • Complete a Terrorist Hunt mission at the hardest difficulty.

    See "Extreme Hunter"
  • Kill 50 enemies in multiplayer adversarial with at least 6 players present.

    See "Don't Mess With Me"

  • Kill 150 enemies in multiplayer adversarial with at least 6 players present.

    See "Don't Mess With Me"

  • Kill 300 enemies in multiplayer adversarial with at least 6 players present.

    See "Don't Mess With Me"

  • Kill 500 enemies in multiplayer adversarial with at least 6 players present.

    See "Don't Mess With Me"

  • Kill 1000 enemies in multiplayer adversarial with at least 6 players present.

Unless you are absolutely terrible at the game, you should just play legit rather than boost for these. Pick your favourite weapons and play on your favourite maps, killing as many people as possible until you get the achievements. The best type of match to get kills in would be player

If you must, it is possible to boost for this but since you have to let everyone get a turn I still recommend playing real matches. To boost, set up a private player deathmatch and get enough people for the achievement. Meet up in the center of a small map and take turns having one person kill everyone else. team deathmatch with unlimited respawns and some explosives enabled. Familiarize yourself with the maps and spawn locations and find a spot far enough away from the enemy spawn so that their 5 second respawn invincibility will have run out by the time they get to you. Fire in short bursts or have grenades ready and try to get in behind them if possible. Good luck.
  • Perform 5 consecutive kills without dying in an adversarial match without respawns

It would be very tough to get this without boosting and since this guide is for the fastest way to get the achievements and I know there are plenty of people willing to boost, I will post the boosting method.

Find 5 other people willing to boost in the achievement trading thread and set up a player match with a max of 6 players and 5 private slots. Make it deathmatch without respawns on a small, memorable map such as Kill House. Decide on the order in which everyone will get their achievement. Meet up in the middle and have nobody shoot except the person getting the achievement, who will quickly kill everybody else and get the achievement. Stick around and let everybody get their turn.
  • Win your first ranked match online.

It may be best to join a team based match so you have a 50% chance of winning. Just search for or host a ranked match, invite some skilled friends and try your best to win.
  • Win 2 ranked matches in a row.

    See "Three of a Kind"

  • Win 3 consecutive ranked matches in a row.

Have yourself or a friend host ranked, team based matches such as Total Conquest and put your skilled friends on your team and play against other random people. It would probably be best to play with 6 players or less so you don't get overwhelmed. Just work together and play your best and hopefully you'll win your first three without having to start over. I do believe Total Conquest would be the best for this as that's how I did mine and I never lost. Have one of your teammates go to each satellite and try to hold it down until the game ends. If the enemy has a hold of one satellite, keep one teammate defending at each of yours and have the remaining teammates go to get back the other satellite.
  • Win 100 adversarial matches with at least 6 players present.

If you are going to be working on the other achievements, whether boosting or not, you will get this before you're done with the rest. Otherwise, just keep playing team based matches and by statistics, you should have won 100 matches after playing approximately 200 matches total. Just make sure there's 6 people in every match you play and work as a team to win.
  • Host and win 10 matches with at least 6 players present.

If you're going to be doing a lot of boosting, try to host most of the matches or take turns with everyone else to host. Otherwise, just host player matches and invite some friends so other people will join the match, start it with over 6 people and do your best to win.
  • Rescue both Hostages 10 times in Attack & Defend with at least 6 players present.

Attack and Defend, when played on different maps, has different objectives. The maps that you can get this achievement on are:
    • Import/Export
    • Vegas Junkyard
    • Oil Refinery

    Getting this achievement without boosting:

Play on any of the above maps and be on the Assault team. You must be the one who rescues both hostages and brings both of them back to the extraction point without dying to get a credit towards this achievement. Repeat ten times and it's yours.

    Getting this achievement with Boosting:

You will need 6 players, so find 5 other people willing to boost in the achievement trading thread. Have someone host a player match with a max of 6 players and 5 private slots, doing Attack and Defend on one of the maps above (Import/Export works well).
Take turns getting each person the achievement. For this one, they will have to be on the Assault team and while everyone else sits at their base like good boys and girls, they go and get each hostage to follow them by pressing the A button then return to the extraction point.
  • Plant and detonate 10 bombs in Attack & Defend with at least 6 players present.

Attack and Defend, when played on different maps, has different objectives. The maps that you can get this achievement on are:
    • Three Kingdoms Casino
    • Theater
    • Presidio
    • CQB Training
    • Comcast Event
    • Convention Center

    Getting this achievement without boosting:

Play on any of the above maps and be on the Assault team. You must be the one who picks up the bomb at the beginning and plants it at one of the designated points. After 60 seconds of it being planted while you prevent the other team from disarming it, the match will end and you will get one credit towards the achievement. Repeat ten times and it's yours.

    Getting this achievement with Boosting:

You will need 6 players, so find 5 other people willing to boost in the achievement trading thread. Have someone host a player match with a max of 6 players and 5 private slots, doing Attack and Defend on one of the maps above (Presidio works well). Take turns getting each person the achievement. For this one, they will have to be on the Assault team and while everyone else sits at their base like good boys and girls, they pick up the bomb and plant it. While everyone waits for the 60 seconds to run out, you could run around killing eachother for fun but make sure you have enough respawns on.
  • Defuse 10 bombs in Attack & Defend with at least 6 players present.

Attack and Defend, when played on different maps, has different objectives. The maps that you can get this achievement on are:
    • Three Kingdoms Casino
    • Theater
    • Presidio
    • CQB Training
    • Comcast Event
    • Convention Center

    Getting this achievement without boosting:

Play on any of the above maps and be on the Defending team. You must be the one who defuses the bomb after it has been planted by the other team. You have 60 seconds to do so and then the match will end and you will get one credit towards the achievement.

For this one, they will have to be on the Defending team. Have someone from the Assault team pick up the bomb and plant it then have the person getting the achievement disarm it. The match will end so repeat ten times for each person.
  • Extract the intel item 10 times with at least 6 players present

Attack and Defend, when played on different maps, has different objectives. The maps that you can get this achievement on are:
    • Villa
    • Trainyard
    • Kill House
    • Murdertown

    Getting this achievement without boosting:

Play on any of the above maps and be on the Assault team. You must be the one who picks up the intel at the beginning and returns it safely to the extraction point. Repeat ten times and it's yours.

    Getting this achievement with Boosting:

You will need 6 players, so find 5 other people willing to boost in the achievement trading thread. Have someone host a player match with a max of 6 players and 5 private slots, doing Attack and Defend on one of the maps above (Kill House works well). Take turns getting each person the achievement. For this one, they will have to be on the Assault team and while everyone else sits at their base like good boys and girls, they pick up the intel and return it to the extraction point. The best route for this map is to go into the building ahead, turn left and go up the stairs to the second floor then through a room on the left that brings you out to the middle catwalks. Continue into the enemy base, grab the intel and turn around the same way you came but go up onto your roof and drop off the intel. The match will end so repeat ten times for each person.
  • Kill 3 enemies at once using explosives with at least 6 players present

If you want to get it without boosting, just join matches with lots of players and explosives enabled and try to get a lucky or skilled toss. To boost you will need 6 players, so find 5 other people willing to boost in the achievement trading thread. Have someone set up a deathmatch on a small map and meet up in the center. Take turns throwing grenades at the cluster of people until everyone gets it.

Note: This achievement only works on Team Leader or Deathmatch gametypes.
  • Kill 100 enemies using a Pistol with at least 6 players present.

These achievements must be obtained in multiplayer adversarial with at least 6 players present, including yourself. If you want to boost use similar methods from other achievements discussed in this guide. If not, play legit matches with the required weapon type until you get it.

  • Achieve the rank of Private First Class.

    (1)
At the time of the writing of this guide, this achievement is currently glitched for anyone who has even played the first Rainbow Six Vegas. This is because they get an experience bonus which puts them past the mark for the achievement, making it never unlock. There is currently a way to avoid the glitch if you've never accepted the bonus experience in this thread.

If you have accepted the bonus experience you can reset your rank using the method in this youtube video. I would suggest getting to Elite and getting all other achievements first, then finishing your 1000G with this method and this achievement.
  • Achieve the rank of Officer

    (1)
To get to the rank of Officer, you need 140,000 experience.

See "Elite" for the best methods to gain experience.
  • Elite

    50

    Achieve the rank of Elite

    (4)
To get to the rank of Elite, you need 400,000 experience. Your experience gained is combined throughout single player campaign, terrorist hunt and multiplayer adversarial. Go to Rewards in the Main Menu to check your progress.

Here are some of the best methods to rank up:

    Method 1

    • Find a bunch of people willing to boost in the achievement trading thread.

    • Ideally, you will want to have enough for 5 on 5 to get the maximum possible exp... any more people will still net you the same exp.
    • Have someone host a Team Leader match (player, not ranked) on Kill House with enough private slots to prevent other people from joining.
    • In this game mode, with 10 players in the match, you will get 200 exp if your team kills the opposing leader, and an extra 200 exp if your team wins.
    • Therefore, you will want to switch between the team that is winning so everyone gets an equal amount of exp.
    • I suggest giving each team ten turns before you switch, to avoid confusion. Just make sure you're keeping track.
    • Both teams go to the roof or long catwalk and the leader of the winning team must die first. The leader of the losing team can see who he is, so have him kill him.
    • Once he's dead, the winning team then kills the entire other team.
    • This means the losing team still gets 200 exp, while the winning team gets 400.
    • After 20 matches which should take about 10 minutes if you're quick, everybody in the game will have received about 6000 exp.
    • That is the equivalent of killing 60 terrorists per minute on realistic difficulty... an impossible feat.

    Method 2

    • See the video in the guide for the "Weapon Collector" achievement for good places to get your ACES levels up.
    • Every other level in ACES gives you a very large experience boost so it's highly recommended you max out all of your ACES levels.

    Method 3

    • There is a story mode glitch that allows infinite respawns at a certain point in the story. See this youtube video for how to do it. If you'd like to get this while you sleep, see this youtube video that requires you to have a wired controller (or play/charge kit) and tape the left trigger down to stay in cover. This way, the turret guy will not kill your teammates, but your teammates will kill them and you will get +5 for every time they kill the turret gunner. This is slower, but since you're sleeping while it is happening it is better than nothing.
  • Create your own custom camouflage.

When you achieve the rank of Elite, you gain the option to create your own custom camouflage. On your outfit, hit X to edit a piece of clothing and go to Custom Camo 1, 2 or 3 and then select colors you like and make sure you hit accept changes toward the top. Once this is done the achievement will unlock.
  • Use the Xbox Live Vision to create a character with your appearance.

First of all, you must buy (or borrow) an Xbox Live Vision Camera. There is a great deal where you can get one along with many other accessories and save lots of money. Look for the "Xbox Live Vision Pack" in stores near you. Once you have the camera, go to your character and to 'reset appearance' (you won't lose any exp or weapons). Plug in your camera and you get the option to take a picture of your face and map it on to your character. Follow the instructions provided, have a well lit room and lots of patience and you can get this achievement. It will often tell you the picture is not valid, just try to stand near a light source so there aren't any shadows on your face.
