Don't know why on earth they put difficulty achievements in sandbox games, detracts from the experience imo as ion higher difficulties it makes dicking about allot harder, how am i supposed to teabag dead enemies & try to make a big pile of mush with my hammerfists if i die in a few bullets
But hey, im fine with 950/1000, rather have immensely more fun than 50G tbh

@1 DON'T KNOW WHY I ASK QUESTIONS EITHER. Just what exactly are you even complaining about? If you aren't an 'achievement whore' then it shouldn't matter if you get all the achievements or not. Trying to justify the points of each one inevitably leads to the whoring of easy points gamerpoints as if they actually meant something.

I'm saying its a bad marketing move to an extent for achievement whores and those who think they can get the achievement. i started the first prototype on hard & completed it & got really frustrated & ended up just completing the campaign & not sinking much time into it
i then started it up a few months back on easy & had oodles more fun, just thought game devs would make the same connection i did, sure its a rewarding cheev but it comes at the price of sacrificing sandbox fun :)

There's a difference between achievement whoring and getting all the achievements in a game you like. #1 is simply stating something that will give him a headache while trying to fully complete it.
An achievement whore plays crappy movie-tie-in games and/or little kids games just for the achievements.
OT: I have no problem with there being a Hard difficulty, but in the first game there were a ton of "bullshit" moments that just gave an unfair advantage to the AI.
Be prepared to want to throw your controller.

I don't care for hard difficulty - that ill manage.
BUT there are no gold/platinum challenges *dancing*... oh yeah.
Looks like a fun list all in all.

@3 You can't even play the first game on hard without completeing it on normal, so have your fun there then if you want the achievement try hard.

@6 thats the right idea , but it would be alot better imo if they allow u to play on hard at the start just so u can get the frustration out of the way

Actually was kinda hoping that they would have more challenging achievements... from what I hear, Hard wasn't as hard in this game...
Prototype was a great challenge for completionists, like myself. It kinda makes obtaining that 100% the more satisfying...

You can choose to start on hard in this game. I'm assuming that new game plus is only for that difficulty though?

Yeah it can be done on new game plus i did it on insane difficulty and its unbeleivably easy everything dies the same they just hit harder but your so much more porerfull when fully upgraded you dont really notice,in all im a bit dissapointed with P2 maxed the game in just under 2 days and probably wont even get to see any of the dlc or radnet challenges cos whats the point in playing again theres not even as much space to run as the 1st

Yeah I already beat the game and there is a New Game + which allows you to keep all your leveled powers and mutations you gained in your previous play though. I Beat it on normal got all the mutations plus collectibles and the best part is those reset too! They give you 500 more EP than they did on normal mode as well.

Spoiler Alert: The Hard difficulty isn't really hard. But what I found frustrating was the fight against Mercer at the End. After restarting the 7th time I finally found out that beating him with the whipfist (3rd attempt) is easiest!

@#14 That's what I'm going do since I get to keep my upgraded mutations and powers. The nice part was it says when you're near a collectible, or lair.

Can you get this on New Game+? I find it will be much easier doing it this way rather than starting anew

@#1 because high difficulty levels bring out the full potential of every game. It would be a horrible marketing strategy if devs made their games and achievements unrealistically easy like you suggest. After all what would be more fun, seeing a little bubble pop up that says "50 G!" with hardly no effort at all, or actually taking the time to figure out the strategies that allow you to complete a game on its highest difficulty? I opt for the latter. So if you want to "dick around" and "make big piles of mush" out of stuff then go play in a sand box or something.

Hard is almost the same as easy because you have all your skills and stuff and the only hard part is perhaps the final part

Really easy on second play through but still easy if you do it first tie round. All in all, east achievement to add to your collection.
