Get to speed level 7 only making 3 of a kinds and no chains
This is frustrating, due to the fact that if you mess up even once and get a chain or above a three of a kind, you'll have to start over.
Follow these and you should get it in no time:
1. Watch every move you make. It's a fairly easy achievement, but if you screw up and get a chain or something more than a three of a kind, you'll have to start over completely.
2. Vertical connections are the best, as there is no chance of you getting a chain when nothing is on top of what is being matched.
No falling pieces = no combos.
3. If you get two sets simultaneously (not chained), you can still get the achievement, I did this to get mine. As long as all you get are three of a kind's in the simultaneous sets, you'll be fine.
4. You can't start the mode at 6 speed and just plan on rising once and getting the achievement.
5. Take it one move at a time. There's no need to rush anything, since even at speed 6, it's still a slow-paced game.
6. Watch the bottom row before it actually 'comes into play', you might accidentally create a wrong type of hand and screw yourself over.

Yes, this must be done in one Action Mode game. It's not quite as hard as it's made out to be, just so long as you can handle the higher speed levels and can make challenge hands regularly. Later on in the game, challenge hands become worth a lot of points and are key in reaching this score.
By no means is it impossible, but it will take patience and a knack for making challenge hands while withstanding speed levels of 60 and up.
Win 1st place in a player match or ranked match
Just play an online match; it can be ranked or nonranked. All you have to do is win. You'll likely get this within your first five games even if you're not that good. A little bit of luck and an equal amount of skill should get you this quickly.

The chain achievements are probably the hardest to pull off in this game, as they require the ability to see moves before they are actually started. Basically, a chain is what occurs when making one hand causes the cards above and around it to fall and make another hand. Now this doesn't mean that you can only make one move and sit back hoping that everything falls into place. You can make more moves, but the cards above the matched cards from the first move must fall causing another hand. Slow motion helps a lot with this, as the cards fall much slower in order to give you more time.
The x3, 5, and 7 chains are obviously the easier of the four, as you only have to get up to 7 hands in a row in order to get them. However, for those who are not very good at predicting reactions, these can be problematic.
The best way to get good at move foresight is to practice. If you watch the top players' videos, you'll see that they all move their cards upward (courtesy of ), as to get a full view of everything and make it easier to spot chains ahead of time. Studying the best is only slightly helpful, and the real way to get better is to keep practicing. Just try getting a x2 or 3 chain at first, and work your way up to the higher numbers.
Remember that using a bomb () to start off a chain counts as a move, so you can easily get an extra move out of it. Just keep practicing and looking for moves and you'll eventually get there. Using to slow down the movement of cards also helps, which gives you some extra time to make another move before the cards hit bottom, ending the chain.
In particular, Chain Monster is an extremely difficult achievement, and will take plenty of time to get down. Don't expect to be pulling off the 50+ chains that the veterans of Poker Smash manage to get, but don't be afraid to watch their videos and see what they do in certain situations.
Unlock all puzzle groups
This is an easy achievement (which you get in Puzzle Mode), but it does take a bit of time as there are so many groups to beat. If you get stuck on a certain puzzle, buy the solution at the in-game Store. These solutions do not count against you and do not disable this achievement.
Make a challenge hand in Action Mode, Timed Mode or Custom Playlist Mode
During the game, you'll notice certain hands on the right side of the screen (like three, four, or five of a kinds, full houses, and straights). Just make the hand shown on the right of the screen before the time runs out, and you'll get this achievement.
Make every possible hand in Action Mode, Timed Mode or Custom Playlist Mode
After a few games, you're bound to have most of the basic hands, so all that's really left are the flushes and straight flush. For the flush, you just need to make a hand of cards that are all the same suit. There are also six to nine flushes that must be made vertically with the corresponding amount of the same suit. Note that with a nine flush, the column must take up the entire screen, so don't dawdle or you'll end up reaching the top on accident.
For straight flush, just play through the game normally and try to preserve one of each type of card all with the same suit. It will take time, but if you can manage to clear rows while looking for one of each card, you should get it eventually. What I did was start off with an Ace card, moving it all the way to the left, then waited to find a King of the same suit. After finding one, I would use bombs and moves to make it so that the King was directly below the Ace. Repeat this with the Queen, Jack, and 10 cards (in that order) and you'll get this once the hand is made.
Make three chains at the same time in Action Mode, Timed Mode or Custom Playlist Mode
You must make three hands simultaneously by making one move that causes three hands to complete at the same time. This is a fairly difficult thing to plan out, but you should manage to get it at some point throughout regular gameplay.
The J's, Q's, and A's all represent Jack, Queen, and Ace cards, respectively, and the b's represent bombs. Because bombs placed within a certain time of each other explode simultaneously, all the cards above the row of bombs will hit the cards below at the same time, causing a triple smash.
