Introduction:
Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End is a pretty straightforward game that only has one achievement that will take some time to get after you beat the game. The game is quite linear and the combat is incredibly easy. This game is mostly a collect-a-thon and the guides on the forum will make this an easy task.

There are a total of 30 achievements and they are made up of collecting and acquiring specific character moves which are unlocked automatically throughout the game. The last achievement is 150 and requires you to collect 100 souls. You likely will not pickup 100 souls throughout the story, but you can go back and play levels after you beat them. There are a few levels that make this task much easier.

Step #1: Story
The game consists of 11 levels and early on you will be obtaining achievements for unlocking either one of Jack’s, Elizabeth’s, or Will’s moves. These will come automatically after completion of the level mentioned in the achievement. This guide (thanks to Crimzen Dragon) lists all the collectibles for each level. Each collectible in the game has a thin white outline to make them stand out better, but you will still need to search for them. Some are even hidden in chests. You will have to collect seven of a certain item, find the Calypso piece, and open the Jackanism chest if there is one for that level. Follow this guide closely so you don’t miss anything and won’t have to go back through levels again. It’s recommended to save up three skulls before you get to the chest so you have enough to unlock it without having to worry about another playthrough of that level. Skulls can be acquired by killing enemies with special moves, opening chests, or finding them in the open. Only Jack can use skulls and collect souls with them. After you have the Jackanism chest for that level (if the level has one) use your skulls to collect as many souls you can. This will be a very easy 850 and a pretty quick one too.

There is also a YouTube video playlist showing all the collectibles from NoKtoLive.

Step #2: 100 souls
This will probably be the only semi-difficult part about the game. It’s not even difficult, but just time consuming based on the rest of the game. Hopefully you have about 30-50 souls from your playthrough of the story, if not more. It really doesn’t matter how many you have since you can get as many souls as you want on a couple of levels. The two levels recommended for this are Port Royal and Isla Cruces. Make sure you use Jack when you go for these.

Port Royal has two. The first part is when you are in the tavern and you’re fighting some sailors. After this fight, you will fight some marines. They will be in red coats except for one that’s in a blue coat. Don’t kill the blue coat and use the combo on the enemies to acquire you’re special move. Once the bar at the top has some red in it, perform your special on one of the enemies when prompted (). You will mostly pickup coins, health, and weapons but they will occasionally drop a skull. Go over to the stairs and activate it. Then kill as many red coats as you can. Rinse and repeat.

Port Royal’s second spot for easy souls is at the end when you’re in the big courtyard. Do everything required in this area up until you have to jump at the end to catch your ship. The last thing you will need to do is fire the canons at the top. This will limit the amount of enemies that spawn at one time so you don’t get overwhelmed with having to keep Jack and Will alive. Use the method mentioned above to use your special move and wait until you get a skull. If you activate it on the stairs, you should be able to get 3 souls each time around.

The other level to get this on easily is Isla Cruces. Just like Port Royal, you will have to play through to the end of the level when you’re on the beach fighting. Instead of explain the method, here’s the link to a Gamefaqs walkthrough (Crazyreyn) and it’s the section at the bottom about soul collecting. They do a very good job describing how to make this process easier.

Either level works and both will likely be time consuming depending on how frequently you get skulls.

Conclusion:
Overall, another easy movie game. Everything is pretty straightforward, which is all you wish for in a game. I know the 100 souls has the potential to be time consuming and boring, but even with that, the game won’t take long to get the full 1000. Good luck!

  • Open the Jackanism chest in the Prison Fortress, and unlock bonus material in the Treasure Trove.

Each level of the game, except 'Dutchman Encounter', 'Singapore' and 'Sea Battle', contains one Jackanism chest for you to find. It is colored green to differentiate them from other chests in the game. Jack Sparrow is the only character who can do this.

In order to open a Jackanism chest, you need to have acquired three shrunken heads. Shrunken heads are collected randomly by using a special finishing move to defeat enemies or by finding them hidden in the level. There is a meter at the top-right on your screen which shows you how many you have (small green circles). Acquire three heads and then find the chest to unlock the achievement.

To perform a special finishing move, you must first fill up your Swordmanship Meter, which is represented by the horizontal line at the top-left on your screen. The fastest way to do this is to defeat enemies with the ++ combo. Then you can activate the finisher by holding once an enemy is stunned and pressing the button that is circled in red on screen. Note that your meter does not have to be full for you to perform a finishing move. As said above, it is random that shrunken heads are dropped, so it is very possible that you will not get one.

Bear in mind that you cannot open the chest in the first level, 'Prison Fortress', when you first play the level because you don’t acquire any shrunken heads in it (they first appear in the second level, 'Port Royal'). Once you've completed the second level, if you are holding three shrunken heads, quit to the title screen and select 'Extras'. Here you can replay the first level to open the chest. This can be done at any time after the second level if you complete a level with three heads. Or, if you wait to complete the game, upon replaying the first level, there will be three heads next to the chest for your convenience.

Once you collect one shrunken head, you can activate 'Jackanism Mode' by pressing ++ at the same time. The more shrunken heads you are carrying when you activate this the longer it will last, about five seconds for each head. In this mode, your sword will glow green for a short time and all enemies are defeated with one hit. In addition, for every enemy defeated in direct combat (and not from the resulting explosion when activating this mode), you collect one soul which counts towards "Collect 100 Souls". Refer to that achievement for more information.

However, it is suggested that you collect three shrunken heads to open chests before using them to defeat enemies with Jackanism Mode. Since you do not lose unused shrunken heads when you finish a level, if you still have one or more, you will not need to collect as many in the next level. Plus, you are most likely going to have to grind for souls as your last achievement and it is best to use your heads for chests rather than wasting them to defeat random enemies.

  • Collect one hundred souls from your enemies using the power of the Jackanism sword.

To collect souls, you first need to perform a couple of steps. This will take some time to unlock because of the randomness of an item you need. Also, Jack Sparrow is the only character you can do this with.

First, you need to acquire at least one shrunken head, which are collected either by using a special finishing move to defeat enemies or by finding them hidden in some levels. A meter (small green circles) at the top-right of your screen represents how many heads you have (you can possess up to three at a time).

But keep in mind that it is completely random that shrunken heads are dropped, so it is very possible that you will not get one.

Once you collect one shrunken head, you need to activate 'Jackanism Mode' by pressing ++ at the same time. The more shrunken heads you are carrying when you activate this the longer it will last, about five seconds for each head. In this mode, your sword will glow green for a short time and all enemies are defeated with one hit. For each enemy defeated, you acquire one soul. Note that you need to actively defeat the enemy in combat to acquire their soul; just activating Jackanism Mode, which may kill nearby enemies, will not produce souls. Collect 100 of these to unlock the achievement.

It is highly recommend that you read through THIS FAQ THREAD as it contains useful information and tips regarding soul collecting.

There are many strategies you can use to get the maximum number of souls on a particular level. 'Maelstrom' (the last level) has a strategy if you’re lucky enough to not have it glitch on you. That strategy is outlined HERE. There are also at least two levels where you can farm this achievement; 'Port Royal' (in the tavern and at the end of the level) and 'Isla Cruces' (end of the level).

There is also a video detailing another strategy on 'Maelstrom' below by NoKtoLive.
