Introduction:

NBA 2K10: Draft Combine in sort of like a demo of NBA 2K10. You make a player, lead this player through a NBA Draft Camp, trying to get your player noticed. At the end of this game, you can upload your character to 2K's server, where it is stored for use in NBA: 2K10. The gameplay can be a bit confusing to pick up. If you want to take the time to master all of the little moves, you'll have to be dedicated. Thankfully, all you need to complete this game are the most basic controls. If you have ever played a basketball videogame before, this one should be easy enough to pick up and play. Once you work the qwerks out of the control scheme, you'll be repeatedly attacking the basket/spamming 3 point shots with the best of them.

Step 1: Character Creation
When you first start the game, you are required to make your player. Make sure you have him how you want him, as his key aspects, such as height, weight, and playing position, can never be changed back once you confirm your character. You will unlock The Legend Begins once you have completed your character.

Step 2: Drills
Once your character is done, it is probably good for you to complete 3-5 of the game's drills. These are like the tutorials. Strangely enough, you are only allowed to select 5 of the tutorials, then the game doesn't allow you to play anymore drills. Pick which skills you want to be taught and which skills you want to suffer through learning by yourself carefully. You only have to complete 3 of the drills to unlock the game's drill-related achievement, but you are probably going to want to complete 5 so that you know about half of what you need to know to play the game.

Step 3: NBA Draft Combine games
These are the main portion of the gameplay, the 6 NBA Draft Combine games. Each consist of four 5 minute quarters, totaling a 20 minute game. This means you will be playing a grand total of 2 hours in this mode, along with all of the other bits that stop the game clock. You can learn how to play the game in this mode, as you can do as horrible as you want. You do not need to win to get all of the achievements. You will get a lot more skill points if you do well, but having a large amount of skill points won't unlock any achievements. Once you complete all 6 games, you can complete the steps described under 2K10: Let's Do This to unlock every NBA Draft Combine game related achievement. Note that you must be connected to LIVE in order to unlock 2K10: Let's Do This. You can play the rest of the game and unlock every other achievement while playing offline, if you wish to do so.

Step 4: Scrimmage Mode
Scrimmage mode if NBA 2K10: Draft Combine's quick play mode. You are placed into a 1 quarter, 5 minute game in Scrimmage mode. However, you are required to win these games. You can not lose, and you can not tie. Your must have a larger point total at the end of the 5 minutes than the opposing team for your game to count towards the Scrimmage mode achievements. You should have a decent understanding of the game after finishing up NBA Draft Combine mode, plus you can foul to your little heart's content in this mode, so you shouldn't have much trouble finishing the 15 games.
