Aside from the unique characters you get from the story, you also need these:
POW in Zodornov Search Mission 01 (two POWs in the level, only one is special)
POW in Zodornov Search Mission 05
POW in the roof top of Main Ops 16 (get to her by hanging) |

Actually all you need are:
Hideo Kojima and the POWs as listed above.
Reason they're special is because it's Hideo(duh), and the others are a Vet. Voice Actor(his face is the picture), a new voice actor(her face is the pic), and i think the last person(om not sure on this) is the chick who sings the games theme/the theme while fighting ZEKE while Paz controls it. |

for those who cant count mission 16 is 'Travel to the Mine Base' and #4 you climb up the ladder striaght in front of you when you start the mission then go to the right side (looking at your map) then hang off that edge and scurry across to the end (traveling down on the map) then climb up and wala |
