I know you can catch one in the area of The Fear and in one of the areas where you fight The End, but I want to get this achievement AND King of The Jungle achievement. Anyone know if you can carry 2 Tsuchinkos so that one can be carried until the end of the game and one can be eaten? |
| Comment #7 by Dangerous Brian Wednesday, April 18, 2012 @ 10:11:48 AM @#2 & #5: Never mind, missed Kabuki. @#6: You don't need to eat the Tsuchinko for it to count for The King of the Jungle achievement. There is only one in the game, but you can catch it at multiple locations. You need to catch it before Groznyj Grad (The Big Base) and you will need to catch it again in the area with the waterfall after escaping Groznyj Grad. I don't think it appears there if you don't have it in your inventory. |

 | Comment #10 by kintaris Thursday, August 09, 2012 @ 06:23:31 PM WARNING - I don't know if it's a consistent glitch, but I have seen several reports of people not getting this achievement if they do not pick 'I like MGS3' when starting a new game - regardless of whether they picked up all the face paints. Even if you start a new game + from a completed save, and then receive all the national and extra face paints when you restart, the achievement STILL doesn't pop, even if you complete the whole game again on this save. This has been cropping up on a number of FAQ sites, and has just happened to me. So now I'm facing having to play through the whole thing again on a completely new game (and therefore without any of my bonus items to speed things up), just to re-do what I have already painstakingly done. Two, this seems to be the only achievement that is broken. Fashionista also didn't pop the first time around for me, even though I got everything. However it did at least work on a new game+, although I had to get all the way to the Maintenance Uniform again to receive it. I think this is a widespread and annoying enough issue to mention in the road map, however as I'm new to contributing I have no idea how to go about getting this updated. Suffice it to say, PICK I LIKE MGS3 BEFORE YOU START YOUR ACHIEVEMENT RUN. If you don't, you're gonna have a bad time. |
