IIRC, you can keep going if one dies. Just make sure you don't verify! When
you load up the game again, all dead HVTs will be alive again. |

@Clawed Fish, I remember doing that in the first Mercs game. It may have not been necessary then (but I did it so I could say that I captured the guy, as well as getting even more money), but it is definately a life saver for this game. |

This achievement is a right nut ache I only realised I killed one HVT when I first played the game so now I have to start again :(

Damn! I just got this! The only real troublesome HVT was Joyce, when I decided to help the Chinese, and do their final mission. I went for the buildings first, and I always got killed after I had gotten at least 2 buildings down. Then I realized that All 4 buildings PLUS Joyce were marked on the map at the same time, so I assumed that I could go for Joyce first and then destroy the buildings. I did that, and proceeded to knock out Joyce, hijack an AN 50 Cal Messenger, and take him to a safe place for extraction. Plus, if you're fast and smooth enough about it, then you'll be able to remain friendly with them (if you even are friendly with AN at this point), until after Joyce gets extracted. Then the building part of it becomes a little more troublesome.

I don't quite remember if Peng hangs outside of his HQ, like Joyce does, but I'll assume he does. And, everything that I said about the AN and Joyce will apply with Peng and the Chinese. Out of all of the HVTs (nearly all of them, just excluding Solano) that you have complete and total control of what happens to them, Peng and Joyce are going to be the most painful ones. |
