well, after 1st play as Infiltrator I got level 55, and I get the achievement near end of 2nd playthrough, as you destroy geth ship. Kill as much as you can without using mako ( When you fight geth Colossus, shoot with mako to lower his HP to minimum, and then finish it by yourself, this will get you double exps.

@2 how can you get to level 55 on your first playthrough? Isn't level 50 the maximum?

I got Lvl 40 on my first playthrough. Im at 55 now, midway through the second. If you play renegade it helps as a lot more situations are dealt with combat and therefore exp than if you were playing paragon.

Beat it once on an easier difficulty if you wish; collect money and weapons. This unlocks your higher levels and you can grind out a whole game past 50. I started a new character, managed to get to level 56, then imported the character and got to 60 before the end of the third story mission.

I got to level 50 on my first playthrough and got to level 59 on my second (Hardcore). Should get the achievement on my Insanity playthrough.

yeah level 50 is the cap for first playthrough, as I didn't get any exp for the rest of the time, just grind out kills and always kill outside mako.
Plus make sure you survey planets, pass decryption mini games first time and should come

just wanted to mention you dont have to do EVERYTHING. just play the game. dont be worried about going everywhere and finding everything. play the game once to get lvl 50 or so and then import your char for a second game to finish this off.
i was getting fed up with not getting lvl 60 on one playthrough and tried glitching to get there (which still didnt work) but all you need is to import your ending char and play again till completion.

This is simple if you're achievement hunting anyways. Burn through your first game as a soldier on normal difficulty and then import the char for your hardcore game. You'll ding this long before you complete it on Hardcore.

One thing I don't understand, if someone could please answer...
I've already played through the game once on every difficulty, so the levels past 50 are unlocked. BUT if I started a whole new character, can i earn exp passed level 50 on that playthrough or does it cap at 50 and then allow me to go further on the playthrough that transfer over to?

Answering my question above,
You can never get to level 60 in a single playthrough, even if youve gotten to level 50 or 60 before. You will only ever earn exp after level 50 in a continued game+

I had this on my second playthrough, in my first I got lv 50, you just need
to do all the assignments(collect all the valuable minerals, turian insignias,
asari writings, etc) Kill every enemy on foot incluiding tresher mawls, also
when a Geth Dropship apear kill the gets that apear until the dropship flees,
and in the last mission after the Geth Dropship flees, there will be a path
with a few Shock Troopers, a krogan, and if you stay far from the other side
of the path Geth Destroyers will come from the other side and charge, they will
come one by one and while they appear to be infinite, after about 15 or so.

Currently at 59 roughly midway through a new game +, having got to 55 on the initial play-through with this character. Long way to go though, as 59-60 is a long old grind of around 200k experience.

To everyone saying they got above lv 50 on first playthrough,
Why are you lying?? You can only get to lv 50 on playthrough one and then you unlock hardcore and levels 51 -60 when you beat the game the first time. The strategy guide even says so lol

This achievement is actually really easy to get. All you are the achievements that reward you with exp bonuses and then do it on Insanity. Kill all enemies on foot and kill as many high-exp enemies (maws, colossi, armatures, turrets) as early on in the game as you can. A good mission for ranking up early is the "Geth Incursions" side mission, where its possible to go up a level per world if you do it early on and all on foot. You should be able to get to lvl 59 from this, so just import that character and keep at it until you get that cheevo.

No one is lying they are saying 1st play with that character. Once you've beaten the game one time levels 1-60 are unlocked for ALL characters regardless of which play through they are on

I've gone through on Insanity twice doing everything and I've played through about 4 times now with doing the DLC too.... still got 200,000 exp left or more. My friend got it on his 3rd play through am I just doing something wrong?

To #22: If you played through 4 times with the same character, you should have it, unless you're doing just the bare minimum.
I got this soon after beginning my insanity playthrough (3 playthroughs with the same character).

I'm actually Level 59 on my second playthrough and I, for the most part, went pure paragon. With a couple of main plot missions remaining I should hit the Level 60 mark or be really, really close. Doing the Downloadable Content Missions helps a lot with this one.
