![]() | Comment #1 by SproOve Sunday, May 30, 2010 @ 12:14:45 PM This achievement does not work on Citadel Rapid Transit Stations!!! Fly to a random Planet and use it on the Mako. |
![]() | Comment #2 by JagaRogue Monday, January 03, 2011 @ 09:06:55 AM Mako's a great idea! Works almost twice as fast if you use Kaidan's as well. |
![]() | Comment #3 by PeeWiiii Monday, January 17, 2011 @ 01:16:33 PM Cant use Kaidens it has to be from Shepard |
![]() | Comment #4 by PdX Tanto Monday, May 30, 2011 @ 10:26:08 PM Just completed all the Mass Effect achievements today and wanted to make a post to help cut down on clean up time if you followed the main guide. After creating an Engineer and have attained level 6 you will have enough points to unlock all the abilities needed for the specialist achievements. You want to make sure you are level 6 before getting to Fists room inside Choras Den. Just do a few scans of the keepers and you will easily get to level 6. When it comes to the getting all the Specialist achievements, you can attain them all in fists room. The best method is to save just outside his room and make sure all your abilities are ready to go and not on cool down. Then go into the room cast and “hit” neutral shock on fist. Then cast and “hit” Hacking on the turret when it appears. F |
![]() | Comment #5 by PdX Tanto Monday, May 30, 2011 @ 10:27:32 PM Following those two you can just cast the rest of the abilities anywhere in the room as fast as you can. I choose to cast them against the turret I hacked but it doesn’t matter. Once you have cast all the abilities then just load your last save and go again. Just make sure your hacking hits the turret and that your neutral shock hits fist because if they don’t connect they will not count. Hope this helps anyone who wants to complete Mass Effect. |
![]() | Comment #6 by xQuipsterx Saturday, July 09, 2011 @ 10:06:20 AM Are the specialist achievements across all playthroughs or a single playthrough? |
![]() | Comment #7 by Jenrai Monday, July 11, 2011 @ 12:53:07 PM Freelancer- All playthroughs with a single charector. You can't switch toon halfway through one. Thats not how the game saves the info. You can save your game as PdX advised above and then just load from that save and rinse and repeat, but if you change charector the number will reset to whatever it was on that charector. |
![]() | Comment #8 by MetaPhoenix Friday, July 29, 2011 @ 05:36:01 AM I don't think that's true, Jenraui. I played through my first playthrough as a Soldier and missed out on the pistol and medi-gel achievements. I went and created an Adept character to get those achievements and get the pistol and medi-gel achievements before getting any of the specialist achievements, so they must carry across characters too. |
![]() | Comment #9 by Joeoeo Saturday, August 20, 2011 @ 12:35:54 PM In theory I should be able to get the med-gel achievement as well right? just get damaged while casting then hit Y rinse and repeat? |
![]() | Comment #10 by Joeoeo Saturday, August 20, 2011 @ 01:17:55 PM I can confirm MetaPhoenix' statemment that the med-gel achievement is transferable with careers. I created an Engineer for the Neural Shock...ect achievements and the Med-gel popped waay before the others. |

![]() | Comment #12 by superdupergizmo Sunday, January 29, 2012 @ 11:42:33 AM urrrrgh last achievement i needed and i spent nearly an hour spamming rb on a rapid transit on the citadel. this should be corrected. |
![]() | Comment #13 by Adar Kane Sunday, February 05, 2012 @ 04:08:30 PM PdX Tanto is right on the money. Definitely helpful. He isn't the first to come up with these ideas (check his posts for biotic mastery too), but he streamlined it. |
![]() | Comment #14 by RANTandROAR Friday, February 24, 2012 @ 01:19:06 PM So you need an engineering class for this achievement? |
![]() | Comment #15 by xROELOFx Saturday, February 25, 2012 @ 04:26:42 AM i can confirm what MetaPhoenix is saying. mine just unlocked with a newly created character. i thought for sure the game somehow got glitched, so deleted my other character with wich i did some on the rapid transit stations (before reading the comments on this page). i now got it on Eden Prime. just before you get to the beacon, there will be a couple of Geth and 2 husks. cast neural shock on one of the husks and you'll get it too! just make sure you actually hit the husk, and his life bar will turn green. |
![]() | Comment #16 by xROELOFx Saturday, February 25, 2012 @ 04:28:09 AM as an addition to my comment above. when you disarm all the bombs, save the game. then cast neural shock on the husk, then reload. repeat this until you get it. |
![]() | Comment #17 by SAD Wednesday, March 07, 2012 @ 04:11:43 AM This one still works on the Mako! Took me just over 15mins. |
![]() | Comment #18 by a hippyslayer Sunday, March 11, 2012 @ 01:38:46 AM Is it confirmed Neural Shock has to be cast on an enemy |
![]() | Comment #19 by Hansathan Saturday, March 24, 2012 @ 08:01:34 PM Wow and this guide made it sound like AI Hacking would be the most annoying one. WILL NOT UNLOCK! Been using it on humans, turrets, the mako, everything. Last one I need too :( |
![]() | Comment #20 by Hansathan Sunday, March 25, 2012 @ 10:44:56 AM ^^^Got it finally. Don't listen to anything anyone says except this: it must be cast on an ORGANIC enemy (no geth), and you must see their health bar turn green for it to have counted. There are many methods listed in the guide and on the forums, but much of that is old/inaccurate information. |
![]() | Comment #21 by Kyren11 Tuesday, June 05, 2012 @ 01:39:20 PM Not true #20. Sorry. Just started an Engineer just for the "tech" achievements. Hit level 7. got all necessary skills plus a few points in Engineer to drop cooldown time and then flew to a random planet and used the 4 tech abilities (Neural Shock, Overload, Sabotage, Dampening Field) ALL on the Mako and all 4 popped just a little over an hour. 50 sec cooldown multiplied 75 times divided by 60 will get you a rough estimate to how many minutes it'll take you. I DID use AI hacking on Fisk's turrets. Used it once, reloaded my quick save. Rinse and repeat. SUPER EASY. |
![]() | Comment #22 by Vicatron Thursday, July 19, 2012 @ 03:32:40 PM It does work on the Mako, I tried and got it. |
![]() | Comment #23 by RevoltingSumo86 Tuesday, July 31, 2012 @ 07:05:20 PM I spent well over an hour trying to do this on the Citadel. FML. |
![]() | Comment #24 by JustAC2010 Wednesday, October 03, 2012 @ 03:23:31 AM does this one has to be done on an organic enemy..just like the AI hacking? |
![]() | Comment #25 by DarkRaver72 Thursday, December 20, 2012 @ 05:02:47 AM Use Neural shock on organics and AI Hacking on synthetics (Geth, Turrets, etc.) |
![]() | Comment #26 by ramos516 Tuesday, January 01, 2013 @ 03:40:43 PM can i use neural shock on the pirates in the pinnacle station simulations? |
