|Finish all multiplayer maps on Gold or all single-player missions on Insanity.|
SP: There are a total of 27 missions, one of which (Priority: Earth) never shows up in your quest log. This achievement will unlock while going for your Insanity playthrough achievement, just be diligent that you complete side-quests as they are available because some are time-sensitive and can be failed (if you complete a "Priority" mission first). The full list of required quests can be found HERE, including instructions for when they open/close.

I was so afraid that they would multiplayer achievements in this. But they found a way to please both. Companies should take notice of what bioware has done. This should be the new standard instead of forcing people to player multiplayer to get all the achievements. Now I might be able to complete this trilogy. Although ME1 is going to be a pain in the ass to complete.

@10 I would assume that what they mean by "all" missions on Insanity is that you must complete the story AND side missions on that difficulty. That would make the most sense otherwise this would essentially be a free achievement for those playing on Insanity with no extra effort!

This is how it should be in general. People who want a multiplayer should get their multiplayer-cheevos and people that don't want to play multiplayer (like me) should have an alternative to get the cheevos. I hope this will be done mor often in the future. Bad enough that so many good games only get Mulitplayer-DLC. There are people out there who really enjoy a good story! Thx ME3!

Nice one Bioware, I really like the sytle in the way they have done this. I played the MP on the DEMO and I'm not convinced that this is going to work. Yes I know its a demo, but horde-Halo Firefight style mode that I played borded the crap out of me. It might be just me, but hey. It least Bioware ain't trying the drag the crap out of this. Its inevitable there will be DLC. Anyone who has played the previous titles will tell you, they are usually very good (except the one ME1 which was a bit little dodgy). GOOD Work Bioware.

Bioware, you guys are geniuses. as irrational an argument as it is, i was seriously considering not even buying ME3, on the principle of them adding multiplayer to a single player experience, and the fact that I typically despise MP achievements. I'm glad theyve found a way to appease everybody. (although I have a feeling that it pleases more SP oriented people).. way to stick to your (SP) roots bioware!! thank you!

So I'm guessing this will be limited to the N7 missions? It doesn't state it, but the wording is almost exactly like the Tour of Duty achievement, just stating Gold difficulty for Multiplayer and Insanity for Singleplayer.
I would have to guess that if the difference in multiplayer is to beat all maps or beat all maps on Gold, then the SP version should be the same right? As in complete all N7 missions and then complete all N7 missions on Insanity.

for SP, this is not "every single mission in the game" - the accomplishments section (ach tracking) shows you need either 6 MP maps or 27 SP missions (doesn't say which ones though - but there are way more than 27 in the game)
and everyone praising bio for avoiding MP ach's - "defender" ach is MP-only. just conveniently doesn't say anything about MP being the only way to increase theater of war readiness.

Hint: buying a game doesn't entitle you to 1000 achievement points in whatever way you prefer. Get used to needing live gold, it's only going more that way with every new title. All Priority missions (except the DLC Eden Prime one). 13/27.
- Citadel (Cerberus)
- Geth Dreadnought
- Cerberus Headquarters
- Earth Return
- Citadel Finale
All other planetary missions. For safety, do these BEFORE doing the Priority mission. 17/27.
- Tuchanka: Crashed Turian Ship
- Tuchanka: Bomb
- Rannoch: Rescue Admiral Koris
- Rannoch: Geth Fighter Squadrons
All N7 Missions (6 of them). 23/27.
- N7: Cerberus Lab
- N7: Cerberus Attack
- N7: Cerberus Abductions
- N7: Cerberus Fighter Base
- N7: Fuel Reactors

in case anyone wanted to get this through multiplayer or wanted tips on how to beat Gold I'll let you know how my friends and I do it. All 4 of us are SALARIAN ENGINEERS, if you don't have one you can try getting the character card through veteran packs (someone can be a salarian infiltrator but not more) it HAS to be SALARIAN for this method because of the ENERGY DRAIN they use. Max out ENERGY DRAIN to give you shields back and base it towards damage, max out DECOY to stun and damage enemies so it distracts the best. From there it's up to you but go for damage more than crowd control because your decoy is enough. We do it best on Firebase Dagger but always fight the GETH. They have no instant kill enemies. We go up to the high circular room and each take a door to cover and have one guy w

Surprisingly Insanity is nothing like ME/ME2... Its a lot easier when you balance out your team and stasis bubble is a life saver...
IMO best way to do it is with a infiltrator class(hack, invisibility, equiped with javelin and m-4 carnifix), Liara(stasis bubble and warp), Garrus(overload and armor piercing ammo)...
Only levels you'll have problems with is fighting the assassin...

@107 You have to set insanity difficult at Earth and not change it. This achievement and "insanity" will both pop at the very end of the game.

@52 Insanity/Unwavering are easy achievements if you import a high level ME3 character into a second play. I imported a 58th level biotic from my first play (imported from ME2) ... you get to keep your weapons, unlocks, armor, money, etc. from the first ME3 play. I tried the all-gold map online and there's a serious problem with this achievement: few online dunderheads seem to understand it takes coordination and teamwork to survive. One or more players just doing their own thing means that everyone dies.

This is definately going to be the Insanity playthrough. Gold is so ridiculous! A single wave takes the same time an entire Bronze mission does!

For the 27 single player missions, only 26 are listed. The 27th mission which is not listed in the codex begins after entering the beam

@113 must not be running the right group on gold if a wave takes you 15-20 min. Like a previous post said, Salarian engineers w/decoy is a must. Just be sure everyone is on the same page and all miced up. Save medigel/rockets for later waves, don't try to play it like CoD, and don't worry about who's got the most kills. It helps to farm firebase white on gold for money a few runs first, and hope for upgrades to medigel/rocket capacity. Need anymore help send me a FR keltdiasavere

Well I should have got this after completing the game on insanity but I got the player stat reset byg/glitch hit me that caused my 27 missions completed to drop to 23! So gutted! I double checked as well and looked at all of the missions individually on youtube and sure enough I recognised doing all 27 of them...even the dlc. It's a times like this that I hate achievements! :(

I was watching a video about the new DLC maps from RoosterTeeth. One of the commentators said that if you play on any of the 2 new maps Friday night, sometime next week you'll be guaranteed a new character from the DLC.
I haven't started multiplayer yet but I'm up for some.

I opted for the SP method. If you use a NG+ character, you'll whip through the majority of it as long as you aren't dancing around out in the open.

Tryin hard to get this achievement! I have got to Wave 10 an eye watering 12 times! My Geth engineer is good at Gold, with Hunter Mode and Geth turret, i can see where all the enemies are and direct my team to hide out at a safe area, my turret then shoots things that gets close to us andalso restores shields to my team every 8 seconds! It still isnt good enough though! I have only cleared Gold TWICE! Any other tips people?

Crap i've just finished playing on insanity, now i have to do it again entirely because i skipped some missions like Grissom (o hai Jack) because i wanted to finish insanity quickly and get it over with *kicks myself*.
It's not that i don't want to try it MP-wise, i don't have Live Gold and even then i read in the comments getting gold in MP is pretty hard. Well, not that insanity is any more fun :P

Easiest to do as level 45+ on 2nd playthru. You'll level to 60 eventually. Don't skip a mission and u should get it. I don't recommend going for gold unless u play with others unlike me! Haha. I'm good but not gold, and seems most out there are equal. Gold is very difficult. Level 60 insanity seemed easy as single player, just took time to complete. Good luck!

Just to confirm if you did your first play through on Insanity but missed a mission, play through a second time on narrative to get to the mission you missed then switch the difficulty to insanity. As long as you are on insanity when you begin the mission you will get credit for completing it regardless of what difficulty you played the previous mission on.

If it wasn't for the grenades falling like rain, I'd be OK in Insanity. Cover just isn't useful if you have to run from it every few seconds. No bonus power from the list seems to be better than the others in getting around this.
Gold in MP is just not for me. Firebase White is the one people use for credit farming and seems survivable, but I never hear about tricks for the others.
Just like in 98% of my games, some Achievements aren't for me...

Just noticed something.
I have *never* extracted from a Gold game, but now I'm 1/6 in getting this Achievement due to the Gold game I made it most of the way through the other day for the Commendation pack.
If I'd known all I need to do was just PLAY the game, I'd have finished this long ago, no matter how many people got tired of picking me up...

I tried doing the multiplayer and found few that could hold their own.
On one run we even got to the extraction level and earned the points for completing the Gold challenge, but we all died right at the end and I didn't get any achievement progression for that.
I decided to go back to single player. I had finished my Insanity playthrough, but just went right for the ending with very few side missions, since I was already leveled up from using a New Game+.
I did another New Game+ and put it on Narrative difficulty and blazed through the story missions, then set it to Insanity right before doing any side mission and it counted towards the achievement. Almost there.

got 6 out of 27 so far for doing campaign on insane and it's been a breeze for the most part (cerberus on grissom academy just after you've met jack was tricky) but i've got so many other games i'm playing at the moment that finishing this off is going to take ages (i still need to finish ME2 on insane to complete that games achievements). i love this game though

Just finished the game and this popped after choosing the ending.
I didn't change the difficulty setting from the main menu before starting a game. When on the first level, Earth, before leaving I changed it to insanity there. I was a bit worried that this would be a problem but it wasn't.
DLC not required for this. Need to do all the priority ones of course plus the N7 and several other side missions. Someone posted the correct order to do the missions in the forum:

I failed to get this one on my first insanity playthrough. I thought it was a bug at the time, but I'm now thinking I might have messed it up when I was checking to make sure I was still on insanity (I was finding the game very easy at one point). I popped into the difficulty menu to check that insanity was the highest difficulty, flipping back an forth through the difficulties. Sure enough, it was all straight so I backed out. I'm thinking that even though I didn't change the difficulty, the flipping of the difficulty registered as changing it, so I finished the game with 26/27 missions finished on insanity. I will get this on my second insanity run with the Citadel and Omega DLCs.
