![]() | Comment #1 by SeducingPinata Sunday, February 05, 2012 @ 01:26:16 PM So happy there are sixty levels in single player. Thirty was not enough in mass effect 2. And I think twenty is a good idea for multiplayer as well, because people are going to want to have multiple max level characters/classes. |
![]() | Comment #2 by AtomFire Monday, February 06, 2012 @ 10:27:53 AM Look's like ill be getting to level 60 in Single Player. |
![]() | Comment #3 by Len lfc Thursday, February 09, 2012 @ 08:00:08 AM If you import a Character from ME 2 you start where you left of, for example, I will be importing a level 30, so I will only rank up 30 levels in ME3 just like ME2. |
![]() | Comment #4 by QueenDeadite Friday, February 10, 2012 @ 08:17:55 AM Another round of leveling up to 60, that is going to be a headache. |
![]() | Comment #5 by Phenoviral Sunday, February 12, 2012 @ 10:54:38 AM @#3: That's not how it worked importing a ME1 character in to ME2, mind. |
![]() | Comment #6 by charincol Monday, February 13, 2012 @ 10:47:58 PM @5 So what? That's how it's going to work importing ME2 to M3. Lvl 30 ME2 Shepards will start at Lvl 30 in ME3. |
![]() | Comment #7 by Person5 Friday, February 17, 2012 @ 12:22:35 AM @3 and 6 do you guys realize how ridiculous that sounds? that means cutting out half the levels, if you do that why are you playing an RPG? also the leveling is different in ME3 so it wouldn't make any sense, maybe it'll start you at lvl 5 but starting at level 30 makes no sense |
![]() | Comment #8 by ash356 Friday, February 17, 2012 @ 12:11:41 PM @7 Unfortunately, It sounds like it's true. Or at least that's what the designer said in January. IMO, that sucks. Part of the fun in RPG's is leveling, and now I'm having that fun essentially cut in half. :/ Maybe they'll give use a choice though... I mean, from a storyline perspective, Shepards been out of service quite some time, could use the excuse that 'he's rusty'. |
![]() | Comment #9 by Len lfc Saturday, February 18, 2012 @ 03:27:55 AM @7 They have already said if you import a ME2 save you will continue where you left of, so if you import a level 30, you will start at level 30. |
![]() | Comment #10 by scrummers Tuesday, February 21, 2012 @ 11:53:12 AM @7 well hate to burst your bubble but you import a level 30 you start off at level. Which i don't see why that's a bad thing. Why should i start off at level 1 when I import my level 30. All i am doing is continuing may character from where i left off so why not allow me to have my level and my abilities. But that's just how I feel everyone is different. It would be smart of them though to let you choose if you want to start at level 30 or level 1. |
![]() | Comment #11 by atomic viking54 Tuesday, February 21, 2012 @ 09:57:33 PM being that im already passed this in the demo, it wont be to hard lol |

![]() | Comment #13 by Sconzee Wednesday, February 22, 2012 @ 10:43:34 PM is this chacter level or something |
![]() | Comment #14 by Phenoviral Thursday, February 23, 2012 @ 12:24:11 PM @#13: Yeah, character level. Much quicker in multiplayer to reach level 20. |
![]() | Comment #15 by Poisonheadcrab Saturday, March 03, 2012 @ 12:55:02 PM @3, 6, 7, anyone else in the conversation I missed. I believe the case is that your lvl 30 Shepard can swap classes when (s)he begins ME3, but you only retain that high level if you keep the class you played in the second game. So if I took my Engineer from ME2 into ME3, I could swap to any class I want, but if I don't stay Engineer, I get reset to level 1. |
![]() | Comment #16 by Devon Earle Tuesday, March 06, 2012 @ 11:28:20 PM I assume leveling up in multiplayer will be harder than in the demo. It only took about a week to get to 20, so this achievement would be way to easy if there isn't more experience in between levels. |
![]() | Comment #17 by CandidGamera Thursday, March 08, 2012 @ 03:54:57 AM Levelling up in multiplayer is very fast. The last few levels are slower to reach, but you get XP regardless of whether or not you survive the match. Just make sure to do as much damage as you can. If you do 99% of damage to an enemy, and someone else kills them, you get 99% of the XP. Also make sure everyone is together at the extraction point for an XP boost. |
![]() | Comment #18 by JuSt BLaZe Friday, March 09, 2012 @ 11:45:45 AM Also agree with the others. Do this in MP and you are done in 2-3 days. If you do this in SP well, let's say 2-3 walkthroughs. Count for yourself. |
![]() | Comment #19 by klrjunkie Friday, March 09, 2012 @ 11:49:58 AM @15 this is incorrect. I imported my lvl 30+ Infiltrator Shep from ME2, but decided to switch him to Sentinel. I maintained my lvl 30 status. |

![]() | Comment #22 by Cpl ManslaughtR Thursday, March 29, 2012 @ 12:20:16 AM #18 common sense ftw. Doing this in multiplayer takes so much less time than in singleplayer (imported or not) |
![]() | Comment #23 by mcmichele5 Sunday, April 01, 2012 @ 04:33:22 PM #22 Agreed. |
![]() | Comment #24 by Dz06lt Sunday, April 01, 2012 @ 08:12:18 PM it took me 1 full play doing everything including from ashes to a second play all they way to surkesh doing from ashes 1 N7 and Grissom academy to get to 60 |
![]() | Comment #25 by Spug Monday, April 02, 2012 @ 02:34:10 PM #15: Nope, I switched classes in ME3 and retained my levels. |
![]() | Comment #26 by Panzer Russell Sunday, April 15, 2012 @ 08:15:28 AM Mass Effect 1 level cap, perfect. |
![]() | Comment #27 by sthxdnn Monday, May 28, 2012 @ 03:33:21 PM Well I'm level 51 right before Citadel III. If you don't play multiplayer and you imported your level 30 character from ME2, this isn't a big deal. Basicly beat the game doing the majority of the missions. Pisses me off though cause I have 5 or 6 missions that are glitched and won't let me finish them because I can't present the item they asked for. Never that issue in ME 1 or 2. |
