Show / Hide Guide Road Map Overview: - Estimated achievement difficulty: 3/10 - Offline: 8 (160 ) - Online: 4 (40 ) - Estimated time for 1000 : 8-10 hours - Minimum playthroughs: 2 - Missable achievements: None! - Glitched achievements: None! - Do Cheat's disable achievements: No cheats Introduction: Madballs is a fun little arcade shooter that was quite a surprise. It features a nice (albeit short) campaign mode with 3 differing difficulties and a fun set of multi-player modes such as capture the flag, deathmatch and an original mode of Invasion (think cut-price RTS crossed with CTF). Step 1: Multi-Player We shall start off with these multi-player achievements as all damage done will count towards your first 50 items earned. NOTE: All these are done in player matches so you need not worry about randoms joining. Now, you can either wait around and earn these by constantly waiting online or you can get a group of buddies together and knock off all the achievements at once. Easiest (and quickest), is Babo Team-up!. For this, get 3 friends together, host a match and as soon as it's loaded, achievement unlocked. After that make the number of players 8 and play an invasion game, making sure your side wins. If you can't find 7 others, you can still easily find games at the current writing of this map so just join one with 8 or more players and win. This will bag you Babo Invader. Next, set up a Team Skirmish match and win 5 games to get Pro Babo. Set the matches to low score and time limits and this will zoom by. After this, go for Babo MVP which requires you to have the highest score on your team in a game of capture the flag. Just cap all the flags and you will score top. Again, this needs at least 6 players. After knocking those out, you will certainly have attained First Unlock for unlocking your first item. Only 49 more to go! Step 2: Single Player Choose which side you want to do your first campaign playthrough as (B.D.I. or Scorched) and slap the game on easy. This means less enemies and thus a quicker run through. You will want to keep your eyes peeled for as many secrets as possible during your first playthrough. If you see one (they are little brown books you can roll over), knab it as the game saves it as soon as you do. It also records it for you so you can keep track of which you are missing. During your playthrough, make sure to learn each character's abilities by doing damage and then using their opening ability 10 times. When you can, switch character and do the same till all are covered. Also make sure to keep swapping guns and doing damage with each as well as going towards your 50 item unlocks. It will also tally up for the Psycho Babo achievement. For this, you need a "Fierce" kill with each weapon. A fierce kill is attained by killing an enemy with a shot based on it's weakest element. So if the enemy is ice based, hit it with a fire attack and you will see a red skull appear over the aiming reticle. This indicates a fierce kill. NOTE: You will need to unlock guns for both factions to get this. Once the campaign is complete, you will get Super Babo. You now need to go through all over again as the other faction. Running through again won't take long at all and will enable you to pick up the rest of the secrets as most are unattainable until you unlock certain characters. Some even require you to be Scorched or B.D.I. to obtain. Collecting them all will net you Wise Babo. As of this writing, there is no guide to these, but most are easy to find. It's advisable to collect them during the campaign as you have no timer to worry about, whereas in level attack you are on a timer. Once you have finished the campaign a second time you may need to do some grinding to get your last few unlocks. If so, pick the map Snow Blind and put the difficulty on hard. Play that a few times in the opening area and you will amass huge amounts of damage. After you earn your 50th unlock,t he option will appear in "Achievements and Unlocks" to lose all your skills and earn the Officer ranks. Doing so will get you Officer Babo. Repeat this trick to unlock Babo Hero and King Babo. Using the Snow Blind technique will take you at most 30-40 mins. Just go to each of the corners of the starting area and you will be greeted with enemies that conveniently bottleneck themselves and are thus easy picking. Plus you have a lot of space to strafe so dying isn't an issue. Last achievement is Magmor Crush!. You can get this one as soon as you unlock Magmor. Just pick him and crush enemies with his crush attack (hold ). Again, Snow Blind is a great place to do this due to its concentration of enemies. 	First Unlock	10
	Unlock your first item
This will be your first achievement and is unlocked after doing 500 damage with any character. You will have earned this within 5 minutes of playing the campaign or probably 3 minutes of multiplayer.
	Babo Team-up!	10
	Host a 4-player co-op game	(1)
Find 3 friends, host a co-op campaign and invite your buddies into your game.The achievement unlocks as soon as the game starts.
	Super Babo	30
	Finish the campaign
Simply finish all 10 levels of the campaign, most of the levels are very straightforward and easy. If you're struggling change the difficulty on easy. Try and pick up any extra lives to help.You can carry up to 3 and they look like green clouds. The only tough level is the final one, here is a method that should make it easier. You need to survive 3 waves of increasing numbers of enemies. As soon as the level starts fix all 3 generators to hold the enemies up and keep the core shield operational. By the third wave the enemies will probably have stripped the shield and will be attacking the base core. Don't worry as they will soon be destroyed by a lazer. After that is the tricky bit, you need to protect the terracore. If you don't follow this next step you will fail constantly. Simply go the to top of the stairs to the left of the core and kill the enemies at the foot of the stairs and the top left side. This will stop enemies from converging on the right side and makes defense a cakewalk. As the enemies on the lower level get stuck at the bottom of the core and concentrate their attacks away from the core. Completely ignore the big boss character as he does nothing if you are in the aforementioned position.
	Magmor Crush!	15
	Crush 100 enemies using Magmor's Colossus ability
You will unlock Magmor by doing damage as Scorched Rebels. Once you unlock him obtain his first ability, the rock shield. Use that 10 times and you will gain his crush super move. Simply hold down and he will grow in size. Crush enemies and they will count towards this achievement. If you don't get it while playing the campaign either set up a private match with a friend and grind it or go to the Snow Blind map in Level Attack and get rollin'. This is cumulative so each enemy will count regardless of where they were killed or when.
	Psycho Babo	30
	A fierce kill using every title weapon
To get this you first need to unlock all the weapons. Check your unlocks from the pause screen to see which ones you still need and how to obtain them. To get a Fierce kill you need to kill an enemy with the bullet type opposite to their strength. So for a fire based enemy hit him with snow. Just make sure you use the ammo that counteracts their strength.
	Wise Babo	15
	Find all secrets in the Babo Campaign
Secrets in the game come in the shape of small brown books that you can roll over and read by pressing . Be alert and pick up as many as you can on your first campaign playthrough. There will be numerous ones you can't unlock first time through as you will need a flying character or a member of the opposite faction. You can always replay any level in Level Attack but this has a time limit so you are best off taking your time on the campaign to find them. Also of note is that you can change the camera to overhead view by pressing . This can help you to spot difficult ones (such as the infamous Mothership). 	Pro Babo	10
	Win 5 games of Team Skirmish
Grab some friends and start up a Team Skirmish game, set points to 1000 and kill kill kill. After winning 5 matches the achievement will unlock. Points are scored simply by mass murder so don't be shy, slaughter thy neighbour.
	Babo MVP	10
	Win a 6+ player CTF game with the most points on your team
Start a capture the flag match with 5 friends or a boosting party. Set the capture limit to 3 so that the games don't run to long. Make sure you don't use your special ability while carrying the flag or you will drop it. Capture 3 flags and the achievement will unlock.
	Babo Invader	10
	Win an 8+ player Invasion game
This is very easy to earn by just searching for invasion games and joining. You don't need to be there from the start, just be on the winning team. If you are having issues finding online games gather a boosting party. Just capture the other teams base to win.
	Officer Babo	15
	Unlock the Officer ranks
Once you have unlocked all 50 items you will have the option on the unlocks screen to relinquish all your unlocks for a rank increase. After you do this the achievement unlocks. However you will need to gain them all back for the next achievement. This may seem like it will take forever but follow the explanation below and you should earn these back in no time. Pick the map Snow Blind and set the difficulty to hard. If you go to each of the corners of the starting area you will find loads enemies to kill.S imply keep swapping characters and keep blasting the enemies until all unlocks are gained again. This takes 30 mins tops and is by far the quickest way to regain them.
	Babo Hero	20
	Unlock the Hero ranks
Just like the previous achievement, you need to cash in your unlocks after gaining the Officer ranks to earn access to the Hero ranks. Use the tips provided in "Officer Babo" to earn your ranks back once again.
	King Babo	25
	Achieve the top Hero Rank
Just keep climbing the ranks using the method suggested in "Officer Babo" and you will soon have this rank. This may seem a little tedious but it's faster than playing through the campaign none stop.
