And Then There Were None Achievement in Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning

  • And Then There Were None

    20

    Kill 500 enemies with abilities.

  • How to unlock And Then There Were None

Abilities are the attacks you will map to your UI, and are used by holding and selecting one of the face buttons. Traps count toward this achievement; however, sustained skills (such as Envenomed Edge or Blade Honing from the Finesse tree) and buffs (such as Relentless Assault from the Might tree) do not! It has to be classed as an "active" skill, as well as being the skill itself that kills the enemy.

If you don't use too many abilities, simply return to the starting area toward the end of the game and one-shot a bunch of low-level enemies with Storm Bolt from the Sorcery tree. You can also do the Arena in the House of Valor (DLC) for quick kills.

  • Looks fun, but id like to know, does this achievement carry through multiple playthroughs? i.e. if I kill 300 enemies with abilities in one playthrough, and 200 in the next, does it still pop? Would be nicer that way lol, so I dont have to always have to remember to purposefully finish them off with an ability and just fight the way I want.
  • Just go into an early area such as Dalentarth or the outlying grounds, after you've leveled up to 20+ and just start raping things with a powered up spell or stuff like Quake or Harpoon. Most things will die in 1 hit.
  • @2 , fair enough, sounds smart. Still would like to know if my first post works though lol.
  • Ah never mind, I just confirmed that it does work through multiple playthroughs. In fact, it should still add to your total if you save, kill 100, then reload that last save, 100 kills should still be added to your current total. Hope that didnt sound silly. So yeah, should get this naturally through my normal and hard play through
  • thanks for confirming that, Chaos. That's what I came here to check. -Chris
  • Im not sure that is entirely accurate. It doesnt save your locks picked, dispells, persuasion attempts, trap kills, parrys, or anything else required for an achievement that I have noticed. This one could be different though because 500 IS ALOT.
  • Yes im not 100% sure of the save and reload one, but Really dont see the point to that. The multiple playthrough Im pretty sure of. I actually got this halfway through my first playthrough, although I had done almost every sidequest I saw, and explored as much as I could from each region and dungeon as possible as I love this game and want to play it to its fullest before I move on to another area :). If you have the house of valor missions ( by putting in the online pass code you get with buying the game) you can fight lots and lots ( not to mention being a pretty cool questline) as well as repeat the battles on the battle board as many times as you want, whilst making money simultaneously
  • Does this work using Battle Frenzy active? Like I just go around killing things with my sword with Battle Frenzy active?
  • To answer my own question, appears to work. Get Battle Frenzy then just go around smacking every grey beastie in sight.
  • If you have completed the House of Sorrows story line and have some points in meteor(In the sorcery tree) and equipping the Robes, Boots, Gloves, and Hood or Sorrows from the story line will allow you to destroy mobs of enemies in one hit and not even cost you any mana as this set of armor lowers your mana cost drastically.
  • this works great as a mage....all you cast are abilities....get level 40 craft gear for a mage and go rape....its so easy
  • Does this work with the Arrow charge or Backstab?
  • Does it count if you weaken an enemy with sword/longbow and then finish them with an ability? Because I've killed a lot of enemies this way and don't have either achievement.
  • I went after this achievement at the end after only having a special ability for a short period of time and when I thought I was around the 200-300 area, the achievement popped.
  • is there a way to check the number you have?
  • I imagine some of the battles atthe House of Valor would really help here. You end up fighting a bunch of brownies or boggarts, like 40 at a time, and that would help rack up the kills quickly. I haven't done it yet but I am gonna do that once im finished this quest that I am on.
  • Do not break your head with this achievement.... Play the game, enjoy it and when ever your ready to grind for a bit and get this.... Head to the tavern in the first town and destroy guards with whatever ability you have equipped. Cheevo will eventually come.... Your welcome.... All the comments you all are posting are so confusing.... lol
  • is it 500 with the previous 100 or is it 500 + the other 100?
