Story related and cannot be missed. At the beginning of the game you start in the Bonding Circle and get to play with the 5 initial cubs. After you choose one and go through the short adoption process this unlocks.

Once you have adopted your first cub, go into freeplay in any of the areas that you have open (Woodland Glade is your first chance) and select "Care Items" from your toy box. Then select "Petting" to unlock this.

See "Outfielder".

Simply travel to your house via the map select screen. The map can be accessed from your toy box. Then choose home and then once inside, hold your right arm out at a 45 degree angle to select "Decorate Home". Then just select whatever you like and change at least 1 thing for this to unlock. Furniture can be bought at the store and won during contests.

This does not have to be done at the same time. You can do one and then the other later or back to back it you want too. Simply open your toy box and select "Care Items" and then choose a sponge to give your cub a bath. Then select "Food Items" from your toy box and pick anything you have available to feed him. You can buy items from the store if you have not progressed far enough along to have unlocked some.

After the initial adoption, you will find yourself in a forest named Woodland Glade. What you need to do is just play with your animal, teach him tricks, pet him or try out whatever other items you might have. After and during each task, you gain points that fill the Discovery bar located at the top of your screen. Once you get enough points the first contest will unlock and you get prompted to travel there. Say yes and then participate in the event and this will unlock.

You will unlock collars as you get medals in the contests or you can buy some at the store. To put one on, enter freeplay and select "Collars" from your toy box. Then just select whatever collar you like to put it on your animal.

While in freeplay just stand there and your cub will eventually bring you a toy to play with. Just say yes to play with that toy and this unlocks.

As you progress through the game you will eventually unlock the Plunderscope automatically during freeplay. You will then be prompted to use it so say yes. All you have to do is hold it out and move the lens slowly along the ground and try to find a spot that is sparkling. Don't forget that you can move left or right to rotate the screen a bit if needed. Once you find a spot, hold the lens still on that location and your cub will go investigate. You will automatically put the lens at this point and need to do a digging motion to walk over and help your cub get it out.

Story related and cannot be missed. When you completely fill your Woodland Glade Discovery bar found at the top of the screen, you will be prompted to go to the beach. Just say yes and it unlocks as you arrive.

Story related and cannot be missed. When you completely fill your Fiddler's Beach Discovery bar found at the top of the screen, you will be prompted to go to this area. Just say yes and it unlocks as you arrive.

Story related and cannot be missed. When you completely fill your La Selva Discovery bar found at the top of the screen, you will be prompted to go to this area. Just say yes and it unlocks as you arrive.

Story related and cannot be missed. When you completely fill your Cherry Blossom Grove Discovery bar found at the top of the screen, you will be prompted to go to this area. Just say yes and it unlocks as you arrive.

Story related and cannot be missed. When you completely fill your Suri Mountain Discovery bar found at the top of the screen, you will be prompted to go to this area. Just say yes and it unlocks as you arrive.

Story related and cannot be missed. This unlocks after you collect the last piece of the pirate map. There are 5 pieces total and you get them all automatically as you complete the areas.

As you work through freeplay building your first discovery bar and participating in contests, you will start getting cut scenes involving another cub. Eventually the two cubs will start playing together and this will unlock. This is scripted and happens automatically so just keep playing until it happens.

Go to your toy box and select "Flying Toys" and then pick a frisbee or some other type of disc. I used the purple UFO like thing. Then just play with your cub and you will start getting random challenges to pop up. You need to get the one that has 3 floating lanterns. Once you do, just hit all three of them to unlock this achievement. If you don't have this by the end of the game, just go to an area and keep playing with a disc until you get the event.

We will do all the multiplayer achievements all at once.

First in addition to your main profile, you need to have or create 3 other profiles on your Xbox. For ease of writing these steps I'm going to refer to the profiles as follows:

"Main" = This is your profile that you want to get the achievements for.
"A" = New profile #1 or some other random profile you already have.
"B" = New profile #2 or some other random profile you already have.
"C" = New profile #3 or some other random profile you already have.

If you don't know how to add profiles, I'll walk you through the first one. Go to your dashboard and hit the Xbox guide button (glowing X in the middle of your controller) to bring up the menu. Now press  to sign out of your main profile. Press  again to bring up the sign in screen. Now press  to create a new profile. Name it "A" (or whatever you like) and press . Just pick the default avatar option with , scroll down to "Done" and press  again to accept. Now just repeat these steps for profiles "B" and "C".

Once that is done, start the game with profile "A" and get to at least the first contest. Play through it and intentionally get a low score. Once you get to the "Retry" or "Finish" screen, hold your left arm down at a 45 degree angle to bring up the menu and scroll over to "Change Identity" and sign in with your "Main" profile. Now retry the event and get the gold medal to unlock a couple of achievements for your "Main" profile. You should get, "Arch Rivals", "Keep Your Friends Close" and "No 'I' in Team".

Now, using the same method outlined above, swap in profile "B" and choose to retry the event. Once done and again at the "Retry" of "Finish" screen, swap in profile "C" and retry the same contest again and all 4 profiles should get "Four's a Party.

Now go ahead and swap back to your "Main" profile and select "Retry". Every time you play the event you earn money for the current profile's game, in this case we are still in profile "A"s game. You need to earn 2000 points total for this profile. Make a mental note or jot down what the current point total is and then add 2000 more points. That is the total you will be shooting for by the time we are done. Just keep replaying the event over and over until you see the achievement "Cash Back" unlock. I get 180 coins per game so 2000/180 = 11.11111. That means you will have to replay the event 11 to 12 times depending on how well you do. It should only take about 15 minutes.

With that out of the way we can finally select "Finish" to leave the event. You will still be in the game of profile "A" and we need to play through enough of it to unlock the first collar. Go ahead and start playing with toys, training your cub and whatever else you feel like to raise the Discovery bar and unlock the other 4 contests of Woodland Glade. Complete or skip them and continue raising the Discovery bar to unlock Fiddler's Beach.

Keep playing through Fiddler's Beach completing tasks until you unlock the collars in the store. Now, travel to the store in this game (we are still in profile "A"s game). Buy a cheap collar and a cheap piece of furniture to unlock "Fur-iendship Bracelet" and "Housewarming Present".

Finally, we can go ahead and exit out to the dashboard and start the game again but this time use your "Main" profile and game. Now travel to Woodland Glade (or wherever) and while in freeplay (ie: not a contest) have profile "A" join your "Main" profile game. This should unlock "Two's Company". Now as profile "A", visit your house for "Guesthouse". That's the last one so you can now delete the 3 extra profiles we created if you don't need them anymore.

Once you travel to "Celestial Glacier" you will eventually unlock a contest called "Snowball Fight". You need to complete this simple volley event without missing a snowball in all 3 phases. Just simply move your arms left, right, up or down to hit the snowball back at your cub. In phase 3 they start launching 2 snowballs at you, you only NEED to hit the one from your cub. The other is for bonus points and can be missed or avoided altogether. Do try to get both though since you want the points for the gold medal to count toward another achievement.

Throw a frisbee or other disc and then while it is in the air, lean either left or right to bend the flight path of the disc in that direction. Repeat 24 more times. This will come in handy for contests that unlock later in the game.

See "No I in Team".

This is probably easiest to do in Woodland Glade since they use the most basic trick set. In freeplay open your toy box and use the whistle to teach your cub some tricks. Then when you fill your Discovery bar enough, you will unlock the contest called "Tricks in the Grass". Now just play through the event without making a mistake and the achievement unlocks. You can retry as often as you like and can even come back later via level select if you wish.

This is easily done in Woodland Glade on the contest "Stone Circle Derby". This is a simple circular race track that has 5 bubbles scattered around it. While you complete the 3 laps, grab ALL the bubbles and get the gold medal at the same time for this to unlock. You can retry as often as you like and can even come back later via level select if you wish.

There are 30 contests and you can keep track of your medal count either on the level specific map screen or at your house.

This is best done in Woodland Glade. Just run through the whole contest "Meadowland Dash" and complete every obstacle. You need to race around and do 2 jumps followed by 2 ducks, then repeat 1 time. It is 2 laps and should only take about 2 minutes.

As you are playing through the game and training your cub new tricks, keep adding regular jumps into the mix. Overtime, the jump animation starts evolving and your cub leaps higher and higher even though you are doing the same thing. Eventually you will get a matrix style cut scene of your animal leaping through the air and the achievement unlocks. You don't have to be doing anything special just keep doing the basic jump. You will know when you are close because he will start kicking his hind legs out to the side.

You learn new tricks throughout the game and by using the "Whistle" icon in your toy box. Below is a list of the tricks from the trophy wall in your house. This list can be found by selecting the trophy wall and scrolling through all your medals to the bottom. It even checks off the ones you have completed so far to help you keep track of what you still need to do.

In freeplay, go to your toy box and take out a frisbee or other disc. Now toss it lightly and high and it will float away. Your cub will run after and eventually leap up and catch it. This may take a few tries so if you don't have it by the end of the game, just travel to your favorite place and keep on tossing discs until it unlocks.

You just have to play every contest in the game once. There are 30 total and I have them listed under "Gold Standard". You do not have to win or even medal, you just have to start and finish each contest.

In Suri Mountain there is a contest called "Firework Hoopla". You need to toss your ring over the fireworks 3 times in a row without a miss. This contest has 3 rounds so you have a good opportunity to get it here. You can replay this level as often as you like or even come back later via level select.

Toss a frisbee or disc lightly and aim high. Your cub will run after it and sometimes leap to catch it. Repeat 14 more times until this unlocks.

This should come pretty naturally in Woodland Glade. There are 5 events here and they are all easy to get a gold medal. Just be sure you get gold the first time you play a contest and this will unlock.

Go to the store and buy all the items from the same theme and use them to decorate your home. I used the following:
