Introduction
Joe Danger has made a much welcomed leap from PSN to XBLA in the form of a special edition! This means that Xbox users get a great new lab mode with tons of extra challenges to get Joe back on his bike. The game starts out simple but you will soon discover that the later levels like to kick you in the knickers with some crazy platforming challenges and time trials. So lets get Joe back on his bike doing what he loves! Performing daring stunts over western themed stunt environments collecting stars, slamming down on targets, landing crazy over the top combos, and beating team nasty by beating them and then beating them again to the finish line! This isn't Monday Madness. This is more of a Saturday Madness because instead of watching lame modern children's cartoons you will feel the urge to become further acquainted with J-J-Joe D-D-D-Danger!

Playthrough
The great part of the game is you can either begin starting the main career or start on the lab experiments and can continue to swap back and forth as you see fit. You can always replay levels to get any of the stars you've missed and certain levels feature Pro Medals which require you complete every challenge in the level in one go. Don't sweat it though, you only need to collect all the stars in a level for the achievements. However if you are feeling savvy enough these Pro Medals can unlock an addition roster of amusing playable characters. Also note that any of the stars you obtain in the lab experiments don't count towards Danger is My Middle Name so you only need to collect enough stars in the Lab to unlock all of the levels.

Unlockables
There are 25 Pro Medals to collect in the game throughout the Career and Lab. There aren't any achievements tied to the Pro Medals but they unlock characters, gamer pictures and can also be redeemed in future Hello-Games! (Whatever that means. Hopefully hinting at future xbla projects.) The unlocks are as follows; 2 Pro Medals - Chuckles the Chimp costume 4 Pro Medals - Chicken Joe costume 5 Pro Medals - Joe Danger gamer picture 6 Pro Medals - Sir Bonehead costume 8 Pro Medals - Hot Pink Team Nasty costume 10 Pro Medals - Joe-ronimo costume 13 Pro Medals - Knuckles the Chimp costume 16 Pro Medals - Knight of Doom costume 20 Pro Medals - Cock-A-Doodle-Joe costume 25 Pro Medals - SE Pro Medal gamer picture

Sandbox
Included in the game is a sandbox mode / level editor. It's not achievement related. The sandbox mode is just a place to have fun and create. I've made a guide for sandbox mode that can be found in the Sandbox Thread / Guide and Tips.

Conclusion
After completing the main game and lab there will be 180 stars to collect and collection achievements are received along the way. To get the full 200 you will have to be persistent and patient because the stars in later levels can be very challenging particularly in the Director's Cut levels. The platforming is tight and the game is very fun so it shouldn't feel like a grind. Happy Platforming!

There are 20 achievements with a total of 200 points

  • Complete the first two levels

First achievement in the game. Simply finish "Joe Danger Returns" and "Back In The Saddle". Just cross the finish line. You don't need to collect any stars for it to unlock.

  • Conquer the first challenges in the lab to become the Maestro of Madness!

In the Lab "Danger Laboratories" complete all levels up to and including the "Trial of Madness" to become the Maestro of Madness! Any of the stars you get in these levels will count towards the miscellaneous collecting achievements except "Danger is My Middle Name". You don't have to earn all of the stars in the Lab to earn the five Lab related achievements. The only requirement is that you collect enough stars to unlock and complete all of the levels in each set.

  • Unlock the credits level

In "Grand Finale" in Career finish the race level "The Bomb" and the achievement will pop up

  • Get a level Combo Star

A combo star is awarded for finishing the level with 100% combo. On some longer levels with checkpoints you can bail and start your combo back up again at the checkpoint. As long as the 100% combo star at the side reads ACTIVE you will get a star at the end of a level. If you lose your combo after a checkpoint you can press  to reload the last checkpoint and start your combo up again. To maintain a combo you will need to be in an almost constant manual by holding back the . You can still hold down  to duck under hurdles when in a manual. You can also manual in place to recharge your boost without losing your combo if you need to.

  • Get 5 Coin Dash stars

A coin dash star is a timed dash to collect all the spawing coins before time runs out. They can be found anywhere in the level and are triggered by collecting a large red coin. A timer will start to go off letting you know how long you have to collect all the remaining coins before they disappear. You can do this either in the Lab or the Career though I would recommend just doing this in career since you have to get all stars in Career anyways for Danger is My Middle Name.

  • Get 5 Target Stars

A Target Star is achieved by hitting all the targets in the stage. To hit a target you need to be airborne and land on it. If you miss one you can always reverse and try again the the track allows it. The first level that has a target star is "Joe Danger Returns Again" in Stunt Weekly. Stars you earn in either Career or the Lab will count towards this.

  • Collect all Pickups on 8 levels

You can tell which levels have pickups if they have that blue star medallion in them. When you start the level there will be a collector counter down at the bottom right. The collectibles also change shape based on the costume you select. All of the stars are found generally in groups or lines arching off jumps that generally don't require you to go out of your way to get. If you have to switch lanes make sure you stick with the ones that have the collectibles. Take it slow so you can collect them all and if you miss a couple you can always restart at a checkpoint by pressing . The very first level that you play in career "Joe Danger Returns" has a collectible star in it.

  • Get a Time Star

You get a time star for crossing the finish line before the timer runs out. The first level that has a time star is "Joe's Got Style, a Groovy Style" in Stunt Weekly. You should manual and do flips and tricks in the air to keep your boost gage constantly flowing. It's beneficial to use boost in spurts instead of using it all in one go. This way you can refill your boost meter fast if you snag on something. For the longer time stars you're going to need to scope out the level a few times and find the path with the fastest route. Remember that going top speed and flying over the level is not always the best option especially if you're blindly flying into each section of the map.

  • Find 3 Hidden Stars

These stars are generally hidden in high up or out of the way areas. The hidden stars you collect in the lab count towards this achievement as well. To get it fast get both hidden stars in "Joe's Got Style, a Groovy Style", then head over to The Lab in "Aerodynamics" and find the secret star there. Sometimes the stars are hidden beneath boxes so if you're having troubles finding a particular star take the level slow and keep exploring each path in the level until you find it.

  • Get 4 stars in one run

There are plenty of levels with four stars in them, but managing to get all 4 in one round can prove a challenge. To do this the easy way go to the lab "Oxidants Happen" in the level "Puzzlement". First what you will want to do is go far the the right until you see 3 orange blocks. Theres a star in the middle one so just stack the other two boxes on top to get them out of the way. Working left we see a long red box with 5 coins around the outside. Open up your toolbox and place a bouncy pad under the "hidden" star. A little further left and you will find a shark tank by some more floating coins. Use your toolbox to place the quarter pipe to collect the coins and place a star bridge over the sharks tank so you can collect all the coins without going for a swim (ner ner ner ner). Then take the long red box and drag it over to the first box placing the smaller red box on top so you can collect the hidden star easily. When you go to attempt it you will need to get a 100% combo. If you do the level right you will end up with 2 secret stars, 1 coin Dash Star and a Combo/Coin star.

  • Send 1 level to a friend

You can send the level to any gamercard on your friends list. Go to the sandbox, choose a level you've saved then scroll right to upload. Select the account and send. The achievement will pop up right after you send the level.

  • Receive 1 level from a friend

You can do this on the same Xbox. Create a silver account and have that account send you a map in a message. Open the message and download the map and the achievement will unlock.

  • Get 15 Time Stars

See Speed Demon achievement description for more info.

  • Get 30 Combo Stars

See Combo King achievement description for more info.

  • Get a x100 combo

This is easily done in one of the longer race levels or in sandbox mode. Lean back into a manual with the  and double jump with  and keep the  held back to do a backflip. If you want to rack up your multiplier quicker you can always tap the  button while facing up to get more air and hit  and  to do tricks to further increase your multiplier. Just repeat this until your combo gets high enough then land it. The longest race in the game is the "Big Boss" race in "Director's Cut". You should have no problem getting a 100x combo before you finish the level. Alternatively if you are feeling lazy you can load up an empty sandbox level and push the left to manual then push the  right to endo. Your combo should go up 1x if you rock back and forth fast enough. No jumping required! The achievement doesn't often unlock right away. Sometimes you need to play through another level before it pops up.

  • So dangerous they named him twice! Collect all stars in career mode.

There are a whopping 180 stars to collect in career mode. You can collect stars in levels one at a time so you don't have to worry about crazy multitasking for the most part. The final race "The Joust" which has two stars in it unlocks after you've collected every other star in career mode (costs 81 stars to unlock). There are 12 different types of stars you will collect throughout career mode.

    1. Collector Stars Collect all of the stars throughout the level. There is a counter down at the bottom right that tells you exactly how many stars you need to collect.
    2. Target Stars For Target Stars you need to be airborne before landing on the target. You will know you have hit a target correctly when stars fly out of the target.
    3. Combo Stars For a Combo Star you need to stay in constant combo until you cross the finish line. There will be an indicator at the side showing whether or not your combo is still active. If you crash or lost your combo you can restart at a previous checkpoint and begin your combo again and you will still get the star.
    4. Hidden Stars Most of the hidden stars aren't as "hidden" as the title implies. Just keep a lookout for them as you progress through the level.
    5. Coin Dash Stars Coin Dash stars are triggered by collecting the large red coin in the level. Just follow the linear coin path and if you don't manage to collect them before time runs out just restart at the previous checkpoint.
    6. DANGER Stars Just collect all 6 letters of DANGER as you progress through the level.
    7. Time Trial Stars Finish the level under the time limit.
    8. Race Stars You must come in first to earn a race star. If you're having trouble just catch up to first place and use  to knock them off their bike.
    9. Target/Time Trial Stars These can be a bit tricky. Just go straight for the targets and take lots of shortcuts where you can. Time your boosting well so that you hit the target and don't jump right over it. Fill your boost gage by flipping whenever you're airborne and manual constantly. Hit all of the targets and finish the level under the par time.
    10. Target/Combo Stars Most of these are easy because you can take your time. Keep a manual going whenever you're on the ground and just go straight for the targets. You have to 100% combo the level and hit all of the targets to earn the star.
    11. Coin Dash/Combo Stars These are found on levels where the Coin Dash is the only Star objective. Complete the Coin Dash and finish the level with 100% combo.
    12. Bowling Stars There are only three bowling levels in Career mode. You'll have 2 attempts to knock over all of the Pins/Mega Pins. Use  to glide and  to curl up.
