|You completed Hitman: Absolution™ as a professional|
There are 5 total difficulties to choose from:
Complete each mission on Hard or higher without changing the difficulty. Pick one of those difficulties and stick with it until you have the achievement. All three are considered "professional". You have no player activated checkpoints and enemies have better than average reaction times. Also your instinct won't restore on it's own.
You can view a video walkthrough for all levels on hard HERE.

No, I don't think so. I just think it's do complete the game on the hardest difficulty, so without any help like the instinct but I don't think it's refering to do a Silent Assassin on each level, so too bad :/

Professional probably refers to your rating across the whole campaign - i.e. one down from Silent Assassin.

"Professional" is simply the hardest game setting available. It was definitely a big challenge in Blood Money, but I loved it. Totally kicked my ass and forced me to plan everything out VERY carefully.
There was an additional chievo in Blood Money called "5 Professional Silent Assassins" which was for getting a total of 5 Silent Assassin ratings awarded on the Professional difficulty, and each 1 of those 5 had to be on a different mission.
I REALLY hope they bring this one back. It's definitely one of my proudest chievos. I'm hoping it's somewhere in that list of Secret Chievos. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

This is what I originally thought myself. However after watching some gameplay videos it looks like they are scoring you constantly. Go around like Rambo and you'll get nowhere but go incognito and you'll get this achievement. I may be wrong though.

This will be a nice challenge. Only wondering if "professional" refers to the difficulty setting or not. Since there will be three different proffesional difficulties: Professional hard, Profesional expert and Professional purist.

Like #13 said - this achievement is for beating the game on any of the three difficulty levels under the banner 'Professional'. That's Hard, Expert or Purist.

its the games difficulty, there are 5 and the last 3 are the proffesional difficulties:
normal-all assists with less intinct
hard-all assists with less instinct and harder AI
expert-no instinct and hard AI
Purist-no help whatsoever
i wish they brought back silent assassin for all missions, it was a serious personal achievement when you got it.

Man, I sure hope not... THAT would seriously suck! Can anyone confirm that this won't happen?... (losing all your "Career Progress" by starting a new game on a harder setting?)
No, I didn't have a single game-freeze/problem/glitch, and I made it all the way to the end (playing on the "Normal" setting).

Can you simply level-select your way through the game on professional difficulties, or do you have to start a new game and play fresh on a professional difficulty?

I can confirm that going back and just level selecting your way through the missions on the same game if you finished it on Normal first works just fine.
#24 You must have missed a level, as far as I know there's no way to look at what difficulty each level has been finished on. (Only seems to track score)

#26, I completed the game on normal, then started a new game on hard. It kept all the done challenges and found items from the normal run and the achievement popped.

This is my last achievement, I was I destroyed this game on Professional and the achievement didn't pop, I'm wondering if I had to watch the full credits or something stupid like that. I will try watching the credits and seeing if this Achievement pops.

Hey, I just beat the game on purist and the achievement didnt pop. I heard some people saying there is a bug with the Desert mission so I replayed it and shot Lenny in the face and beat it. My achievement popped right after this. Hope this helps anybody who has the same problem.

I liked this one since the Hitman: Blood Money Professional one wasn't that hard the checkpoints through to next stage helped a lot, though I have been playing the previous Hitman since it came out on classic Xbox so 7 years of Hitman:BM practice can't have gone to waste here

Finished the entire game under "Hard" difficulty, but the achievement did not appear after the last level. So I opened up the level select and noticed that my score for one of the levels read 0. So I went back in and beat this level, and sure enough the achievement popped up after this. Hope this helps anyone who might have the same problem.
P.S. - A surefire way to see if this might have happened to you is to scroll down to the "Unlocks" section on the Main Menu. The top stat will show how many levels you have completed out of 20 (i.e. 14/20). Mine read 19/20 even after I beat the game, so I knew that one of the levels did not register.
