Alternatively, you can do this on Level 5 while in the AC130 as well. Once your team moves into a building they will not move out until you kill the enemies sitting around a campfire on the left of the screen (they will be circled as targets). You will basically hover there and can fire as many bullets as you want. The game won't progress unless you kill those enemies.

Also, the Prologue has infinite bullets.. but that's only 30 bullets a clip.
