Introduction:
Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X. 2 is the second installment of the series, expanding on the first game with new additions and features. There are 19 missions to complete, all of which can be played on 3 different difficulties in both singleplayer and co-op with up to 4 players on Xbox Live.
This isn't any different from the original game, however, the multiplayer has been massively expanded to include for the old TDM mode, as well as the all new Arcade and Survival modes, which can also be played singleplayer.
The online achievements are mostly easy to get, some are a little time consuming, such as Veteran, but there are no luck or weapons based achievements like last time. These are even easier if you played the first HAWX for any length of time since the gameplay and controls are relatively unchanged.
Part 1: Campaign
Unlike the first game, there are no achievements for completing the game on harder difficulties, so go ahead and play it through on easy. Play it with a friend over XBL (coop story, NOT coop missions) and you will also get the Team Play achievement.
The only achievement which requires a harder difficulty is Red is Not Dead, which requires you to complete the final mission on Expert. This can be done after completing the game, by just replaying the final mission.
NOTE: If you opt to play the campaign on coop, then two achievements WILL glitch. However, they can be earned in a different manner if you have already, or intend to, play through on coop. See part #3 below.
Part 2: Multiplayer
This is not too difficult to do legit, but can be quicker with a boosting party. Refer to the below guide for hints and tips, and if you are having problems finding players go here.
The achievements can all be earned by playing ranked or player matches. The hardest and longest part will be fully mastering fifteen planes. I would recommend playing a lot of Survival on Caucasus using jets with HSM's and Multi-AAs, if you can get them. Once one plane is done, move onto the next, and repeat for fifteen planes. The advantage of this is that you will get close to Rank 50 by the time this is done, and there are a LOT of enemies to kill for lots of experience.
Once one plane is fully mastered, sort out a custom weapon kit (2x gun pods, multi-AAs and HSMs) and play TDM games.
Part 3: Cleaning up
This should now leave you with only 2 achievements to get; No restrictions (40) and Peripheral vision (40).
Both of these achievements are glitched, this thread has a lot of information about them.
Conclusion:
Quite an easy 1000 , although some multiplayer achievements will require a bit of dedication, although notably a lot less than most other games. Even the rank 50 achievement doesn't take that long playing legit, if you can find a game.
