However, because of the Flood's hibernation weakening his infection form he was able to assert a little control over his body and was later captured by a bunch of ODSTs who him brought back to base. He would die when the Covenant ship the remaining human forces captured was forced to crash land back onto Halo when one of the ODSTs destroyed an important part of the ship's systems after Jenkins failed to so the Flood wouldn't be able to infest Earth. This all revealed in Halo: The Flood, the second Halo novel.

If done in co-op, both players might not get enough kills for either on to knock it out (unless they take turns killing the flood, replaying the level)! I love this level (I love ALL of them, actually). Just do what Hicks (Aliens) said: "Remember... short, controlled bursts!"
