Introduction
Halo 4 is the eighth installment of the Halo franchise and is the first of the new "Reclaimer Trilogy" created by 343 Industries. It has been four years since John went into cryosleep (Halo 3). Awoken and ready to fight, John and Cortana must uncover the many secrets & technology the ancient forerunner planet "Requiem" holds. The Campaign achievements are straight forward and as always, Mission Select is available. There are 7 Terminals you must find and access and skulls are available for use right from the start. A Xbox LIVE Gold Account is required for the Multiplayer and the new gametypes Spartan Ops and War Games. Each week a new Chapter/Episode for Spartan Ops will be available to download.

Installation
Halo 4 is shipped with 2 discs. The second disc must be installed (4GB) in order to play the Multiplayer. Insert Disc 2, launch the game and follow the instructions. Upon completion, eject the disc and insert Disc 1. You no longer have need for Disc 2.

Campaign Co-op Playthrough on Heroic (12 for 190)
This playthrough will be done Cooperatively with another player (Online or Local) on Heroic to specifically unlock Bromageddon and Bropocalypse. You may choose to play on Legendary to also unlock The Legend of 117 but you will naturally unlock this during your Solo Legendary Playthrough. See The Legend of 117 for tips if you choose Legendary for this playthrough. Halo 4 allows up to 4 players playing Co-op at a time. Find partners/buddies in the Achievement Trading Thread.

Campaign Terminals, Skulls, & Mission Specifics 11 for 235
Upon completion of the Campaign you are able to replay every Mission on any Difficulty. Choose a Mission and set the difficulty to Easy unless specified otherwise.
Terminals - There are a total of 7 Terminals you must find/access. Please see Terminus for Terminal locations. Find one for Contact the Domain, and find all for Terminus.
Skulls - Skulls are available and unlocked right from the start. You do not have to seek them out in Halo 4. Silver Skulls are recommended to activate because you must complete a level on Heroic whilst 3 are activated for Skullduggery. This can be done Cooperatively.
Mission Specifics - There are 8 Mission Specifics to unlock (ie Digging up the Past, Midnight Launch...) These can be missed during your first playthrough. After you've completed your initial playthrough, load up each Mission and achieve the required Mission Specific task then Save and quit.

Campaign Solo Playthrough on Legendary 2 for 160
This playthrough will be done Solo on Legendary. You cannot do any part of this playthrough with another player either Online or Locally. Sucessful completion of this difficult playthough unlocks Lone Wolf Legend and The Legend of 117.
See the Roadmap item Difficulties for extra info. See the Guide achievement description for Lone Wolf Legendfor tips.

Infinity (Multiplayer) 15 for 160
The Infinity consists of Spartan Ops and War Games. You will have the option to customize your Spartan IV within the Infinity. Your Spartan IV Ranks up from the points you earn in both game modes.
War Games - Competitive Halo Multiplayer gameplay.
Spartan Ops - New Co-op Multiplayer Episodic game mode.
Infinity :: Spartan Ops 9 for 255
This is a 10 week long Episodic game mode that takes place chronologically 6 months after the events of Halo 4. Spartan Ops allows up to 4 player co-op & you have the option of matchmaking if you are solo. The first 5 Episodes have achievements.
Every Monday at 6 am (Eastern US, GMT -5) there will be a FREE streaming Spartan Ops Episode available to watch, followed by 5 Chapters of gameplay. Please see the Infinity :: Spartan Ops Info and Discussion thread for more info as to when new Episodes are available and which achievements are currently obtainable.

Difficulties
The difficulties are Easy, Normal, Heroic, Legendary and the achievements are stackable, meaning unlocking The Legend of 117 unlocks Wake up John and I Need a Hero. On Easy difficulty, it is possible to unlock the 'Completed Mission...' achievements (Dawn, Requiem,Forerunner, ...) but you will not unlock a 'Completed the Campaign...' achievement on Easy. In order to unlock all the campaign's 'Difficulty' achievements you must complete 2 playthroughs. One Cooperatively on Heroic, and one Solo on Legendary.

Crimson Map Pack

All eight achievements are tied to the WarGames matchmaking of Halo 4 and cannot be obtained through Custom Games or Spartan Ops. You can boost these achievements if you have a full party of 12 players. If any players have multiple controllers, make sure they plug them in for the use of a guest account. It is important to understand where certain weapons and vehicles are located in the three new maps: Man Cannons can be located only on Wreckage, Warthogs can be found on Harvest and Wreckage, Mantis Mechs are exclusive to Shatter, and Machine Gun Turrets can be found on Shatter.

With this said, take note that Bigfoot, David & Goliath, and Pump Yer Breaks can only be obtained on Shatter. Now They Fly can be obtained on both Harvest and Wreckage, depending on which method you prefer using (both methods can be found below). Clay Pigeon and Special Delivery can only be obtained on Wreckage, although it has been said that Gravity Lifts will act as the Man Cannon requirement for these two achievements. Lastly, ODST can be obtained on any map, despite its description saying a Man Cannon is required.

A word about playing Co-op and Solo playthroughs at the same time.
Both solo and co-op playthroughs have their own save data. As long as you reach a checkpoint in solo, making sure to save and quit after, it'll stamp that progress. Start a lobby with a friend, and you'll see 'Start Co-op Campaign'. Modify the options to your liking, start the game then back out. Return to the Campaign menu with no other players, and everything should be as it was on your solo playthrough.

Majestic Map Pack
All ten achievements are tied to the WarGames matchmaking of Halo 4 and cannot be obtained through Custom Games or Spartan Ops. You can boost these achievements if you have a full party of 8 players. If any players have multiple controllers, make sure they plug them in for the use of a guest account.

It is important to understand where certain weapons are located in the three new maps, and what playlists and maps will be best for obtaining all ten achievements. Three achievements are best obtained on the larger maps, another three are easier done in the new Free-For-All playlist, and the last four can be obtained on any maps, but will require the use of specific Armor Abilities during combat.
  • Didn't See It Comin' and Bullet Sponge are best obtained on one of the bigger maps, such as Landfall or Monolith, due to their long sightlines and open exteriors.
  • Bird of Prey can be easily obtained on Landfall or Skyline, since they have multiple leveled structures/areas around the map.
  • I See You! and Clever Girl will have you utilizing the Promethean Vision and Active Camo Armor abilities and obtaining a total of five kills while the abilities are active.
  • Flash of Light is obtained by earning a double kill with a single Pulse. Grenade and should be done in the Free-For-All playlist.
  • Last Man Grinning and Calling in the Big Guns should also be done in the Free-For-All playlist with the Ordinance Priority mod equip.
  • Pigs Can Fly and I Thrust at Thee require specific combat kills on the enemy team in terms of JetPacks and Thruster Packs, and can be obtained on any map or playlist.

Castle Map Pack

We meet for the last time, Spartans. The Castle Map Pack is the last Multiplayer Map Pack available to download for Halo 4. Like the previous DLC Packs, Castle will offer players 3 new War Game maps and 9 new achievements that can only be obtained online. The achievements will task you with performing specific actions during the Multiplayer which range from using power weapons such as the Spartan Laser, to splattering and beating down 5 enemies in a single match.

All nine achievements are tied to the WarGames matchmaking of Halo 4 and cannot be obtained through Custom Games or Spartan Ops. You can boost these achievements if you have a full party of 12 players. If any players have multiple controllers, make sure they plug them in for the use of a guest account.

It is important to know beforehand which maps will offer the best strategy and vehicles, which armor abilities will be required, and what weapons will be necessary in obtaining all nine achievements. Three achievements are tied to vehicle usage, while another five will require weapon-specified kills and armor ability utilization. Lastly, there is a single achievement for completing a match on every Castle map.

  • What is Yours is Also Mine, Scrapyard, and Outta My Way! can be done on any map as they task you with hijacking enemy vehicles, destroying enemy-occupied vehicles, and splattering a number of enemies.
  • Dodge This! and Ashes to Ashes require the use of Spartan Lasers and Forerunner weaponry and can be done on any map or playlist.
  • Hello Nurse! requires you to heal a number of teammates using the Health Regeneration Field armor ability but you can heal yourself too.
  • That Won't Save You is best done in a boosting party, as not many people use the Hardlight Shield.
  • Beating up the Beat has you beating down enemies, and can be done on any map and game type.
  • Sight Seeing is unlocked once you have finished a full match on Perdition, Outcast, and Daybreak.

Exploit! An exploit has been discovered that enables you to get this achievement while playing the entire game at a lower then Legendary difficulty setting. Play through the game on Normal. Then play each level on Legendary, starting from the last Rally Point in each mission. It tricks the game into thinking you've played each level entirely on Legendary.

If getting it legitamately, there are a couple ways to play this difficulty setting effectively. You can playthrough the levels Slow or Fast.

Slow - Pace yourself and kill every last enemy, get a checkpoint and continue playing this way checkpoint after checkpoint. Spending 45 - 60 minutes per level.

  • Use a powerful weapon combo like PP/BR or BR/Sniper. Use the Plasma Pistol charged shot to deplete shields and then switch to your BR to headshot the unshielded enemies. Use the LightRifle/Suppressor combo or LightRifle/Scattershot combo.
  • Use a ranged weapon and pick off enemies from afar.
  • Shoot at enemies while remaining near cover.
  • Revert to cover if shield is even remotely depleted - by the time you realize you've been shot at your shield will most likely be gone.
  • Stickies are very powerful, use them often when they are available.
  • Save Power weapons for the Hunters, or tough enemies near end of levels.

Fast - Rush the enemy, grab only the weapons/ammo for enemies you must fight. You are looking to get to checkpoints with as little resistance as possible, beating the level under 10 - 15 minutes.

  • Use a powerful weapon combo like BR/Shotgun or Sword, BR/Sniper. Use the Shotgun or Sword to take down an enemy quickly while you are rushing past if you are met with too much resistance.
  • Find alternate routes that will keep you primarily hidden from enemies.
  • Use Ghosts, Banshees, Warthogs for speed and their ability to get you to areas you could not get to by foot.
  • Use a ranged weapon and pick off enemies from afar that will kill you as you Rush (Knights, Turrets).
  • Use cover when needed but also to remain hidden from enemies walking/running past
  • Stickies are very powerful, use them often when they are available.
  • Save Power weapons for the Hunters, or tough enemies near end of levels.

You can use both these methods interchangeably, sometimes you will get to a point where you must clear the area of all enemies before moving on. Adopt a method you feel comfortable with.

If stuck at an objective, make sure your keep trying it in new and different ways to see if there is a better alternative to completing each checkpoint.

Timelinks

• 0:06 - Terminal 1 - Mission 2 'Requiem' - Rally Point Bravo
At the end of the level, after defeating 2 hunters, you will come to a long hall. At the end of the hall you will view this terminal in plain sight under a clear ramp that leads to the end.

• 0:35 - Terminal 2 - Mission 3 'Forerunner' - Rally Point Bravo
During the mission, near the beginning, you will defeat a small group of crawlers and a promethean knight outside in an open area, and your HUD will begin to become distorted. Masterchief and Cortana will begin speaking about the signal distortion, and masterchief will say "What's with this distortion?". Once this happens, the terminal should be on ground level, under the next objective.

• 1:05 - Terminal 3 - Mission 4 'Infinity' - Rally Point Bravo
After meeting up with your teammates, there will be a short cutscene and you will spawn inside a ship. Just turn around and the terminal will be directly behind you.

• 1:28 - Terminal 4 - Mission 5 'Reclaimer' - Rally Point Bravo
Midway through the level, after the first main cutscene, you will end up indoors. You will have to pick up Cortana and make your way through a hallway. Instead of boarding the elevator (primary on-screen objective) take a right and the terminal should be there.

• 1:55 - Terminal 5 - Mission 6 'Shutdown' - Rally Point Delta
When progressing through this mission, you will come to a section with a bunch of light bridges. At one point you will reach the end of the path and two hunters will appear. The terminal is directly before this checkpoint, but you can easily backtrack. When going from the entrance to the location of the hunters, take the last possible left and the terminal will be located behind the structure on this platform.

• 2:21 - Terminal 6 - Mission 7 'Composer' - Rally Point Bravo
Once you reach the outdoor part of this level, run across the terrain to the building that says "Atrium" on the side. At the base of that sign is the Terminal. The "Atrium" sign does repeat itself on the side of the building, but this is one the closest and in the most clear sight from where you begin this section.

• 2:59 - Terminal 7 - Mission 8 'Midnight' - Rally Point Bravo
Once you get to the part of the level where you are in foot, progress through the story by clearing the rooms of enemies and moving forward. Once you enter the 3rd or 4th room, you should see the terminal located behind two pillars. Walk around to the back side to access it.

Digging up the Past20
Found and accessed Chief's record in mission 1. (41)

Campaign Mission 1 'Dawn' specific. Online not required. Can be obtained on Easy+.
Use 'Mission Select' after initial Campaign playthrough if missed.

The Chief's record can be found down a ramp on your left after Cortana uploads herself into the chip that you insert into your helmet.  Press  to access it.

Glitchy: Do NOT head into the next room to touch the control panel before finding the record. It glitches the achievement for some reason.
The Fix: Restart the level. Next time don't touch the control panel and it should unlock.

Midnight Launch20
Got significant air in the Warthog at midnight in mission 2. (53)

Campaign Mission 2 'Requiem' specific. Online not required. Can be obtained on Easy+.
Use 'Mission Select' after initial Campaign playthrough if missed.

Be the driver in a Warthog and achieve significant air when your console time is at 12:00 am. Only the Driver will unlock the achievement if playing Co-op through XboxLIVE. It's been reported that the achievement may take a couple seconds to unlock.

If 12:00 am has passed you can alter the console's time by either method

  • Online - "change your timezone to one that's about to strike midnight so you can stay on LIVE and put a timestamp on the achievement."
  • Offline - "set your console's clock to 23:50 (to be safe), then load up Mission 2: Requiem."

"Rush through the start of the mission (no enemies), until you reach the Warthog. Press your 360 Guide Button and wait for the time to hit 12am (midnight). Drive the Warthog down the dirt track" hitting jump after jump until the achievement unlocks.

This is my Rifle, This is my Gun20
Carried a UNSC weapon all the way through mission 3 on Heroic or harder. (57)

Campaign Mission 3 'Forerunner' specific. Online not required. Must be obtained on Heroic+.
Use 'Mission Select' after initial Campaign playthrough if missed.

You start out with 2 UNSC weapons

  • Assault Rifle (glitchy)
  • Magnum Pistol (recommended)

The Magnum Pistol is the one to carry with you as your secondary weapon until the Mission ends. It is ok if you run out of Ammo - It is NOT ok if you drop it - 'Revert to last Save' if you accidentally swap/drop it.

Note: If playing on Heroic Cooperatively, you must NOT die. You will NOT respawn with a UNSC weapon.
Unless your buddy is willing to 'Revert to Last Save' every time one of you die, your best bet is to play this one Solo.
Play it Safe (hang back) if you must play it Co-op.

Note 2: You are allowed to use the vehicle at the end of the mission, it won't disable the achievement.

Bros to the Close20
Completed mission 4 without one preventable Marine death on Heroic or harder. (315)

Campaign Mission 4 'Infinity' specific. Online not required. Must be obtained on Heroic+.
Use 'Mission Select' to after initial Campaign playthrough if missed.

Easiest if done Cooperatively. There are a total of 6 UNSC Marines that must survive.

  • 2 Marines - join you after your encounter with Commander Laskey.
  • 4 Marines - are fighting Crawlers, Watchers, Knights at the base of a hill.

You can start at 'Rally Point Bravo' if you've completed the level already.

Once you join up with 2 marines, you will then need to ensure that all marines from here on out survive the rest of the mission. Another 4 marines will join, to make a total of 6.

Make sure to be aggressive and take out enemies as fast as possible, or else the marines will wander around and die on you. Always try to keep yourself in front of your Marines to keep the enemy fire focused on you. You will want to take out any Promethean Knights, Watcher and Turrets ASAP from afar, they do the most damage vs your Marines.

You will find turrets scattered throughout the area at the top of the hill thereafter that are helpful when waiting for Cortana to unlock the hatch. Once she unlocks it, retrieve her chip and the achievement will unlock.

Note: If a Marine dies, you are able to 'Revert to Last Save' as much as you please, the achievement will still unlock. If you happen to get a save checkpoint while one is dead, you must restart the level (back to 'Rally Point Bravo')

Mortardom20
Hijacked a Wraith and used it to kill at least four enemy Wraiths in mission 5 on Heroic or harder. (41)

Campaign Mission 5 'Reclaimer' specific. Online not required. Must be obtained on Heroic+.
Use 'Mission Select' after initial Campaign playthrough if missed.

The easiest way to steal a Wraith is to kill the gunner from a safe distance, and emp blast it with the charged Plasma Pistol shot (hold  and release).
While it is temporary disabled, you must go on top of it and press  to steal it. Make sure you are Holding  to 'Operate Plasma Cannon'. This will kick out the 'Wraith Operator' and you must shoot him.
Then you can Hold  along side it to 'Operate Wraith'.

Now use it to destroy 4 other Wraiths. The trick is to keep moving & dodging the enemy Wraith's plasma attack while staying a safe distance from them, especially their short/mid ranged gunner's attack. There are a total of 8 Wraiths in the level.

Note: If you die, it will restart with you inside a fully repaired wraith.

Explore the Floor20
Tricked or forced a Hunter to fall to his demise in mission 6. (35)

Campaign Mission 6 'Shutdown' specific. Online not required. Can be obtained on Easy+.
Use 'Mission Select' after initial Campaign playthrough if missed.

There are two Hunters found after 'Rally Point Delta' that you can lure into charging you. Jump/Jetpack out of the way at the last moment and one will fall to his demise.

Hunters are the large armoured enemies that look like this:

Hunter

There are two ways to do this. The easier way involves having a jetpack when you get to the section with the two Hunters in mission 6. I recommend killing one of the hunters as fast as you can. Now you'll have to get the hunter to fall off the ledge. As seen in the video, what I did was stand at the edge, and then have him charge at you. As he begins charging, use your jetpack to get to safety, and watch as the hunter keeps going over the edge.

Another method involves trying to make the hunter back up off the corner by looking at him and moving back and forth to try and have him step off the edge, although I found that method difficult.

Give Him the Stick20
Took out both Hunters using only the Sticky Detonator in mission 7. (20)

Campaign Mission 7 'Composer' specific. Online not required. Can be obtained on Easy+.
Use 'Mission Select' after initial Campaign playthrough if missed.

Kill both Hunters using only the Sticky Detonator while playing Solo.

At the start of the mission, you will have a teammate die in front of you and drop a sticky detonator, make sure to pick it up. It will look like this:

Sticky Detonator

Further along the mission, you will encounter two hunters in a laboratory room.

The Sticky Detonator is a remotely detonated weapon. Press  to fire a sticky onto a Hunter. The sticky will only explode when you press  a second time.

You have 5 rounds in the Sticky Detonator, so play this level on Easy because it will take 2 Sticks to kill each one. Pick up extra rounds of ammo if you are playing on a higher difficulty.

An extra Sticky Detonator can be acquired in a weapon cabinet in the far left corner of the laboratory room. Another extra Sticky Detonator is found within the small white room within this laboratory.

CreditHishoa for his helpful info; NeedToAchieve & Plasma SKX for their video guide.

Chief, Smash!20
Killed 3 Crawlers in one hit with the Gravity Hammer in mission 8. (24)

Campaign Mission 8 'Midnight' specific. Online not required. Can be obtained on Easy+.
Use 'Mission Select' after initial Campaign playthrough if missed.

The gravity hammer looks like this:

Gravity Hammer

The Hammer is acquired in an armoury room shortly after Rally Point Bravo. Crawlers are the dog looking beasts with yellow-orange flame faces. The trick is to wait until many try to attack you at once, and kill 3 with one swing of the Gravity Hammer.

Right after going through the teleport, you can catch 3+ crawlers near each other if you're fast enough. Otherwise, just take your time, and get to the part of the level where Cortana will ask you to "defend". At this point, let the crawlers come to you, and you shouldn't have a problem finding them in a group of 3 or more.

Glitchy: Can be glitchy.
The Fix: Just keep at it until it unlocks.

Second video shows where the bridge is

Hanging on the Combat Deck30
Won 20 War Games matchmaking matches. (25)

Infinity Multiplayer :: War Games related. Online Required.
Win 20 matchmade games within War Games mode. Does NOT need to be in a row, nor in one sitting.

“War Games” is the new name for Halo Matchmaking. Although it is possible to boost, it is not recommended as it would be quite a challenge to match with your friends. Team games work best here as you have a better chance at winning over Free-for-all. Just take your time to play online and try to play smart. After winning a total of 20 games, you will gain this achievement.

If you are eager to gain this achievement, “SWAT” games are usually the fastest at around 3-5 minutes.

No One Left Behind20
Saved at least one Marine in Chapter 3 of Episode 2 of Spartan Ops on Heroic or harder. (98)

Infinity Multiplayer :: Spartan Ops related. Online Required. Must be obtained on Heroic+.
Save at least one Marine in Episode 2: Artifact • Chapter 3: Hacksaw either Solo or Cooperatively.

This is very easy to do online Cooperatively with 3 other players. There are about 4 Marines to protect. If you stay with them and take out the Elites, Hunters, and Ghost & Wraiths ASAP, you should have no problem keeping at least one Marine alive throughout the Chapter.

Right at the start you'll find a few small groups of friendly AI, and they will begin to follow you. The goal is to make sure that at least 1 of them survives the mission. It is recommended that one person stays on ground level, and kill all the incoming enemies as fast as possible, using whatever means necessary. The other person should walk near the AIs (so that they begin to follow him) and then escort them to the very top of the large center structure. At the top, there are many power weapons, and you can even feel free to give one of the AI a rocket launcher or spartan laser for safety. You should encounter very little enemies while waiting, although some sword enemies might make it up the structure, so make sure to kill them as fast as possible. Using this strategy, the achievement isn't too bad. Once you destroy the overhead ships, and finish the mission, the achievement will unlock for everybody in the game.

Knight in White Assassination20
Assassinated a Knight in any Spartan Ops mission. (21)

Infinity Multiplayer :: Spartan Ops related. Online Required. Can be obtained on Easy+.
When behind a Knight, press and hold  to perform an assassination either Solo or Cooperatively.

You can find a Promethean Knight within Episode 1: Infinity • Chapter 4: Sacred. See Best Chapters for Boosting Enemy Commendations for other Episodes/Chapters with Knights.

It's recommended making a custom loadout with prometheus vision for this achievement.
After completing the first mini objective (activating the switch) you start going back to where you came from and a  Knight will spawn around the corner. You will be informed by a voiceover. At this point, crouch around the corner and use prometheus vision to watch the Knight walk back and forth, as he turns his back towards you, run up to him, and hold  to preform an assassination, unlocking the achievement.

What Power Outage?20
Completed Chapter 4, Episode 5 of Spartan Ops without losing a generator on Heroic or harder. (51)

Infinity Multiplayer :: Spartan Ops related. Online Required. Must be obtained on Heroic+.
Don't lose a generator during Episode 5: Memento Mori  • Chapter 4: The Cauldron Base either Solo or Cooperatively.

There are 2 generators you must protect. If you are playing Co-op with 4 players you will spawn with 2 Warthogs at the start of the level. If you are playing Solo or Co-op with 2 players, you will spawn with Mantis at the start of the level.

Get in the vehicle of your choice and use it to kill the enemies up until you reach the generators. Position your vehicles between or around each generator to protect the one that will be attacked (the side the covenant is dropped off on, that generator is usually attacked). There are also stationary turrets located above each generator if you need extra firepower.

Using the Mantis (1-2) to protect the generators is reported to be the easiest method.

A warthog tactic that works (3+) - Position the Gauss Warthog between the generators.
Have the second Warthog be Spartan driven with 2 marines (one with rockets). Use this Warthog to ambush the Covenant after each time they are dropped off. Your marine with rockets will usually take care of the Phantom's plasma gun, and large groups of Grunts.
Drive back and forth under the bridge and attack the Covenant from behind as they push toward each generator.

A warthog blocking tactic that works (3+) - Use the warthogs to try and "block" the 4 main entrances to the base, which will give you more time to kill enemies, and block them from getting within range of damaging your generators. From here, you can use the Warthog or Gauss Warthog to kill enemies (ranging from grunts to hunters) as they flood from each direction, or you can stay on foot, running around and killing them. After about 3-5 minutes, the enemies will stop spawning, and as long as both generators are still active, everyone in the game will get the achievement.

Repeat if unsuccessful.

No Easy Way Out20
In Ch 1, Ep 5 of Spartan Ops survived the enemy assault during the defense on Normal or harder. (96)

Infinity Multiplayer :: Spartan Ops related. Online Required. Must be obtained on Heroic+.
Survive the assault during Episode 5 'Memento Mori', Chapter 1 'Spartan Miller' either Solo or Cooperatively.

  • Can only be obtained on Heroic+ (description is wrong)
  • You CAN die
  • One sensor must NOT be destroyed.
  • You must clear out all the enemies before activating the final orange switch.

After surviving the assault, and protecting at least one sensor beam, the achievement should unlock. Then you may activate the final orange switch to open the portal for the final jump.

DLC: Crimson Map Pack
Cost: 800 MSP Achievements: 8 Points: 250

Now they Fly?50
In Crimson DLC matchmaking, get a kill while airborne in a Warthog. (660)

Simply score a kill on an enemy Spartan while you are airborne in the Warthog. While there are a few methods in obtaining this, the BEST/EASIEST method would be to drive the Warthog off a ramp or Man Cannon and splatter someone as you are landing.

Alternative method: Hop into the passenger seat of a Warthog with a Rocket Launcher. When your driver accelerates off a jump or Man Cannon, be ready to blast away any enemy Spartans while in mid-air. Man Cannons can be found on 'Wreckage', while multiple 'rock-ramps' can be located on ‘Harvest.’

Alternative method: If an enemy is driving the Warthog, jump into the passenger seat if it's free. While in the seat, you can melee the driver and get a kill. It will take two melee hits to kill them. Hopefully they'll hit a jump, which can let you melee once before the launch and another while mid-air.

Size is Everything20
In Crimson DLC matchmaking, kill 20 enemies with a detached Machine Gun Turret. (64)

To operate a Mounted Machine Gun Turret, hold to operate it, then to detach it. Now kill any enemy Spartans that you see. The Turret has plenty of ammo so you should be able to get several kills within a single match. If you destroy an enemy-occupied vehicle with the turret, it will count as two kills. Take note that the Machine Gun Turrets are located on the center structure on 'Shatter' and they respawn rather quickly. The achievement is cumulative and will unlock once you have obtained your 20th kill.

ODST30
In Crimson DLC matchmaking, kill a player while airborne from a Man Cannon. (50)

Take note that this achievement is extremely buggy and has been randomly unlocking for many. Launch yourself off any Man Cannon and kill an enemy player while you are still in the air. Use a precision-based weapon for an accurate kill. There are a few alternate methods you can use to obtain this achievement:

Alternative method: Plasma-stick an enemy while you are Jetpacking and when either of you die, the achievement will unlock.

Alternative method: Rocket or Plasma-stick a Ghost/Warthog while jumping.

Alternative method: As an enemy is about to enter the Man Cannon, stick them with a Plasma Grenade and follow them through the Cannon. They will die while you're both in the air and you will also get 'Clay Pigeon.'

Bigfoot20
In Crimson DLC matchmaking, kill 20 enemies using the Mantis' stomp attack. (361)

Simply kill 20 enemies with the Mantis’ stomp feature. This attack uses the same button as your Spartan melee attack (). The stomp move can be useful in emergencies, but the animation is somewhat long, and you cannot move while using it. Rather than using the Mantis aggressively in the battlefield, hang back and have your allies cover you on foot. They can weaken and lure in any enemies, leaving them fully vulnerable to a devastating stomp attack. This achievement is cumulative and will unlock once you have stomped the 20th enemy.

David and Goliath20
In Crimson DLC matchmaking, board an enemy Mantis. (18)

Add the Plasma Pistol to any of your loadouts and you will be guaranteed an easy 20. When you spot an enemy-occupied Mantis, charge up the Plasma Pistol and shoot the EMP bolt at the Mech. It’s highly suggested that you EMP the Mech from the behind for a safer and more direct boarding attempt. Once the vehicle is downed and recharging, make a quick dash towards the back of the Mantis and hold to board it. The achievement will unlock once you have successfully boarded the Mantis.

*Be sure to follow through with a grenade plant in order to obtain the 'Pump Yer Breaks' achievement.

Pump Yer Brakes40
In Crimson DLC matchmaking, score the killing blow on a Mantis. (30)

The Spartan Laser, Plasma Pistol, and Plasma Grenade are essential tools for this achievement.

"Score the killing blow" translates to, "Obtain a vehicle destroyed medal on the Mantis."

  • The Spartan Laser can be used to get a ranged kill on the Mantis.
  • EMP Overcharge the Mantis and stick it with two Plasma Grenades.
  • The Mantis can be boarded (only from behind) and instant-killed with a single Grenade plant.

Overall, remember the weaknesses of the Mantis:

  • Slow movement & turn speed/long cooldown and reload times for weapons
  • Long shield recharge time/very vulnerable when the shield is down

Once you have destroyed the Mantis, the achievement will unlock.

Clay Pigeon40
In Crimson DLC matchmaking, shoot an enemy who’s airborne from a Man Cannon. (77)

The DMR is the most reliable weapon for this achievement due to its great accuracy and stopping power. Be on a constant lookout for airborne enemies in 'Wreckage' and once you see an enemy has launched off a Man Cannon, pick them off with the DMR. The achievement will pop as soon as you kill them.

Special Delivery30
In Crimson DLC matchmaking, kill an enemy with melee when landing from a Man Cannon. (111)

This achievement has also been reported to be extremely buggy. Many have said that you can use Gravity Lifts on 'Harvest' and 'Shatter' in place of Man Cannons. to be safe, use either of the Man Cannons located on 'Wreckage' and hopefully an enemy will be on top of the hill where you are about to land. Shoot them a couple times to weaken their shields and right before you land, be sure to finish with a melee attack.

DLC: Majestic Map Pack
Cost: 800 MSP Achievements: 10 Points: 250

Didn't See It Comin'10
In Majestic DLC matchmaking, assassinate an enemy who's in zoom mode. (102)

This achievement will take some time because you will have no sure way of knowing when an enemy player is zoomed in. Landfall and Monolith will be the better choice of maps in obtaining this, due to the long sightlines and open areas where players will most likely be wielding Battle Rifles, DMR's, or even Sniper Rifles.

Wait for an enemy to be occupied in the midst of battle with another player and attempt to get behind them to pull off an assassination. To successfully assassinate an enemy player, hold the melee button ( on Default control layout) when you are behind them. This may take several attempts, but as soon as you assassinate an enemy who is zoomed in, the achievement will unlock.

Bird of Prey50
In Majestic DLC matchmaking, perform 5 'airsassinations.' (233)

An 'airsassination' is performed when you assassinate an enemy player who is using the Jet Pack, falling from higher ground, or jumping. Play a match as you normally would, but keep an eye out for any enemies in the area who are jumping or using their Jet Pack. As soon as they are airborne, jump up and assassinate them.

To successfully assassinate an enemy player in the air, hold the melee button ( on Default control layout) when you are behind them. This achievement is cumulative across all three maps and all your matches, and will unlock once you have performed your fifth 'airsassination.'

NOTE: This achievement is glitched and can be obtained in a Custom Match.

Bullet Sponge30
In Majestic DLC matchmaking, get the 'Close Call' medal twice during one match. (36)

The 'Close Call' medal is obtained when a player with no shields and little health kills an enemy player, then manages to survive long enough to recharge their shields. This can easily be done on one of the bigger maps, such as Landfall. Use the large, open space on the exterior of the map to your advantage. With a Battle Rifle or DMR, you can engage long-ranged firefights where the enemy has a chance to strip your shields away. If you manage to kill them while your shields are low, run for cover and wait until your shields recharge. Repeat this method to obtain your second 'Close Call' medal. They do not need to be obtained in the same life and will most likely be obtained through natural game play.

Boosting Method: Since these medals are difficult to obtain "purposely" , here's an alternate solution. Have your boosting partner shoot you in the leg four times with a DMR to break your shields. Then, allow them to shoot you twice more in the leg to lower your health. Now quickly double melee strike them in order to kill them before your shields recharge. You will obtain the 'Close Call' medal. Repeat this method once more in the same match to earn your achievement.

I See You!10
In Majestic DLC matchmaking, kill 5 enemies while Promethean Vision is active. (31)

Equip the Promethean Vision mod to any of your five loadouts. While the Promethean Vision is active, simply kill five enemy players before it turns off/runs out of charge. Take note that if an enemy player has the Wetworks 'Stealth' mod, they show up only as a red outline, rather than the full figure. Remember that the vision can also be deactivated for a faster recharge and you can use it to line up percise shots before turning a corner.

This achievement is cumulative across all three maps and all your matches, and does not need to be done in one match.

Clever Girl10
In Majestic DLC matchmaking, kill 5 enemies while Active Camo is active. (39)

Equip the Active Camo mod to any of your five loadouts. If playing defensively, sit tight in a single spot and wait for an enemy who is unaware of your presence to pass by. Activate your Active Camo and proceed to kill them by any means while the Camo is active. Alternatively, you can engage yourself in a close-quarter firefight and activate the Camo right before you finish off your opponent.

This achievement is cumulative across all three maps and all your matches, and does not need to be done in one match.

Flash of Light30
In Majestic DLC matchmaking, get a Double Kill or higher with one Pulse Grenade. (321)

Equip the Pulse Grenade to one of your five loadouts and be prepared to use them, a lot. These grenades are the least lethal of the three, but function as an energy draining device. They will drain the shields of anyone who is within it's blast radius, and then proceed to explode.

It is suggested that you play Infinity Rumble because you will be able to catch two players who are engaged in a close-quarter firefight off guard. This allows you the opportunity of killing them with your grenades since their shields will already most likely be low. Alternatively, an Objective match is another great mode to obtain this in, because players will tend to be grouped together while covering each other.

NOTE: If you equip the Grenadier mod, you will start with two Pulse Grenades. Additionally, if you equip the Explosive mod, it will increase the damage dealt when the Pulse Grenade explodes.

Last Man Grinning20
In Majestic DLC matchmaking, get 4 kills using the SAW without dying. (47)

The SAW is located on Landfall and Monolith, but can also be obtained through a personal Ordinance Drop. If you are relying on the latter method of obtaining the SAW, it is suggested that the Ordnance Priority mod be equip in order to gain your Ordinance more frequently. The SAW is a powerful weapon, but suffers from range. Make sure you conserve all the ammo for close-quarter firefights. Use cover frequently and communicate with your teammates in order to stay alive long enough so that you can get your four kills.

Pigs Can Fly30
In Majestic DLC matchmaking, kill 3 enemies while they are using Jet Packs (53)

A percision-based weapon, such as the Covenant Carbine, Battle Rifle, or DMR can prove to be extremely helpful here. Be on the lookout for any enemies who are using their Jetpack in order to gain higher ground, or evade enemy fire. Squeeze the trigger and aim for their head for a quick kill.

This achievement is cumulative across all three maps and all your matches and does not need to be done in one match.

Callin' in the Big Guns40
In Majestic DLC matchmaking, call in 3 ordnance drops during the same game. (41)

It is highly suggested you equip the Ordnance Priority mod to any of your five loadouts for this achievement. This armor mod offers more frequent ordnance drops. During the match, try to obtain as many medals and kills as you can in order to fill up your Ordinance meter. Once it is full, call it in and continue obtaining medals and kills in order to get two more Ordinance Drops.

An Objective or Infinity Rumble game will grant you the opportunity to obtain more medals and kills, allowing you to fill up the meter quicker and call in your Ordinance Drops before the match ends. You don't even have to use or pick up the item/weapon you call in. The achievement will unlock once you call in your third Drop.

I Thrust at Thee20
In Majestic DLC matchmaking, perform a melee kill right after using Thrust Pack. (38)

Equip the Thruster Pack Armor ability to any of your five loadouts. During the course of your match, aim to engage yourself in a close-quarter firefight. Here, you can shoot the shields off an enemy player with the weapon of your choosing and quickly thrust towards them for a melee strike before their shields begin to recharge. With their shields depleted, a single melee strike will kill them and you will unlock the achievement.

DLC: Castle Map Pack
Cost: 800 MSP Achievements: 9 Points: 250

What is Yours is Also Mine40
In Castle DLC Matchmaking, disable a vehicle and then hijack it. (194)

This can be obtained on any Castle map as they all contain vehicles. Equip a Plasma Pistol to your loadout and use the EMP Overcharge (Hold, then release ) to disable an enemy occupied vehicle. While the vehicle is still downed, sprint towards it and hold the for the hijack. The achievement will unlock once you are in the driver's seat.

Dodge This!20
In Castle DLC Matchmaking, get two direct Spartan Laser kills in one match. (82)

You can obtain a Spartan Laser on Outcast, or through an Ordnance Drop. If relying on the latter method, be sure to equip the Ordnance Priority mod to one of your loadouts so that you will obtain Ordnance Drops faster during the match. Once you have acquired the Spartan Laser, proceed to kill an enemy Spartan with a direct blast. Using the Spartan Laser to destroy an enemy-occupied vehicle will also count as long as you obtain the Laser Kill medal. After obtaining two Spartan Laser Kill medals, the achievement will unlock.

Hello Nurse!30
In Castle DLC Matchmaking, heal a near-death teammate with Regen Field 5 times. (55)

This is best done in an Objective game type, as your team will most likely be staying close to each other when playing defensively. Make sure you and your teammates equip the Regen Field to one of the five loadouts. If you begin taking damage from enemy fire, whether it is from across the map or up close, throw down the Regen Field immediately. If the enemy was able to break your teammates' shields, the Regen Field will help restore their shields and health.

Two alternative and easier methods to obtain this achievement is to charge a Plasma Pistol EMP and shoot your own teammate. Take note that friendly fire only works in Objective game types. Once their shields are down, shoot them 3 times in the chest to lower their health and then throw down the Regen Field to heal them. Repeat this method 4 more times. Additionally, you can do this on your own by tossing a Frag grenade at your feet, and then healing yourself with your own Regen Field.

NOTE: This achievement is cumulative and does not need to be done in a single match.

That Won't Save You30
In Castle DLC Matchmaking, assassinate an enemy who is using a Hardlight Shield. (289)

Unless you are boosting this achievement with a partner or second controller, it will prove to be quite frustrating as not many people on Multiplayer use the Hardlight Shield armor ability. If you do catch an enemy using the shield, try to jump over their head or flank them with your teammates in order to pull off an assassination while they are distracted. Make sure you hold the in order to assassinate them. Tapping the button will only beat them down.

Ashes to Ashes10
In Castle DLC Matchmaking, disintegrate 6 enemies using Forerunner weapons. (58)

The Binary Rifle and Incineration Cannon will be the weapons of choice for this achievement. These Forerunner weapons are quite rare in Ordinance Drops and will not always be readily available on the maps. You can substitute them for a Scattershot by which can be also be obtained through Ordinance, but at a much more frequent rate.

Be sure to conserve Scattershot ammo and use it only in close-quarter engagements in order to kill and disintegrate your enemies. Additionally, Pulse Grenades can also be useful here. You can melee an enemy to drop their shields and then throw a Grenade at them. The first Pulse-blast won't disintegrate them, but the blast will count towards the achievement. If this doesn't register for any reason, the secondary Pulse-blast will disintegrate enemies if their shields are down.

NOTE: This achievement is cumulative and does not need to be done in a single match.

Beating up the Beat30
In Castle DLC Matchmaking, perform 5 melee kills in a single match. (40)

This should come naturally during any of your matches, but the five beat downs must be done in one match. If you favor the BR/DMR, use its stopping power to strip the enemy's shield away, allowing you to move in for a deadly melee attack. If you favor close quarter weapons such as the Assault Rifle or Suppressor, you can engage your enemies in a CQC firefight, which will allow you to unload half the clip into them before beating them down. Each beat down must be from the front or side. If you beat down an enemy from behind, it will not count towards the achievement.

Sight Seeing20
In Castle DLC Matchmaking, complete a match in any mode for each Castle map (13)

Simply complete a full match of any game type on each of the new Castle maps: Perdition, Outcast, and Daybreak. This will come naturally within a few matches.

NOTE: Joining in Progress will not count towards this achievement. You must be in the match from the starting lobby.

Scrapyard 30
In Castle DLC Matchmaking, destroy 2 vehicles during a single game. (40)

This can be done on any of the new maps, as they all contain vehicles. There are also a number of ways you can go about destroying an enemy occupied vehicle. If you have a strong precision-based weapon or explosive power weapon, like the Sniper Rifle, Rocket Launcher, or DMR, you can shoot at the vehicle until it explodes.

A better and safer method would be to use the Plasma Pistol's EMP charge to disable the vehicle, and then stick it with one or two plasma grenades. Alternatively, you can use the Rocket-Hog on Perdition, Banshee on Daybreak, or the Mantis on Outcast to destroy other enemy occupied vehicles.

Outta My Way!40
In Castle DLC Matchmaking, kill 5 enemies during a match by running them over. (54)

This achievement is best done on Outcast or Daybreak due to the open environment and number of different vehicles. It can be done on Perdition, but this map is much more restricted in terms of open space for maneuverability.

It is suggested to use either a Wraith on Outcast or a Ghost on Daybreak when attempting to splatter enemies. These Covenant vehicles have a boost mechanic (Hold ) that can be ignited in a split second. This boost will be useful in catching an enemy off guard and forcefully running them over before they can dodge the assault.
