These achievements stack, so do the game on Legendary first to save yourself doing the game more than once. It can and will be frustrating at times, but perseverence is key. If you are stuck at any point, use this guide for help. It is an amazing walkthrough with videos and it gives tips on parts where you can skip entire battles, which is extremely nice.

General Tips:

  • The plasma pistol/battle rifle (aka noob combo) is the best thing in the game. Hit them with a plasma blast, then switch to the BR and headshot, this will kill most enemies in one go.
  • Your shields recharge, make use of it. Get out of battle if you've been shot, more will follow soon after.
  • Use your NPCs. Let them go into battle first to draw fire, then you can attack while the enemies are focused on them. Also, giving them a good weapon will help, since they won't run out of ammo. If you have a rocket and there are a lot of vehicles attacking you, giving it to the NPC and letting them fire rocket after rocket will help.
  • Grenades are clutch. Make sure you make every grenade count, since you can't carry many, but they will do a great deal of damage. If you have stickies, make sure you get them to stick or the enemies will most likely get out of the way.
King of the Scarab20
Acquire the Scarab gun on the Metropolis level, any difficulty
The Scarab gun is an easter egg on the Metropolis level. It looks like a Plasma Rifle but it shoots the same kind of energy shots that the Scarab does (the giant four-legged tank that is ravaging the city in the Outskirts and Metropolis levels).

Getting to the Scarab Gun is kind of tricky, as you need a banshee to get to it, and the area where it is doesn't have any banshees available.
Right when you start out kill all your teammates and head over the bridge. If you don't kill your temmates they will destroy the Banshee that you need. Kill all then enemies on the way over. When you get to the other side of the bridge two Banshees should appear. Shoot at one to get it's attention and get it to follow you down into the tunnel.
When the warthog shows up destroy it as well. Keep moving through the tunnel all the while making sure that the Banshee is following you. If it turns around and heads back shoot at it to get it to follow you. Once you get the Banshee past the second roadblock lure it into the smaller tunnel.

If the Banshee gets stuck, shoot off its wings (don't melee, shoot). Take it down the side tunnel to the left. As soon as it's says "Loading.... Done", board the Banshee (if you don't it will dissappear). Fly out and up, up high in the sky there are two bridges between two skyscrapers. Fly to the middle of the one closest to you and you should see a Plasma Rifle floating in the air a little bit above the ground. This is the Scarab Gun.

Silent but Deadly20
Kill 7 opponents from behind in a row without being spotted, any level, any difficulty

There are two very easy ways to get this. On "Delta Halo" you will get a checkpoint, then come to a jackal with a sniper standing above a large clearing that you can assassinate. Do that, reload the checkpoint and do it six more times. Even though you reload the checkpoint, it counts them.

The other spot is when you come to a large open room (I forget the level) and there are flying enemies attacking some Covenant across the way. If you have a sniper, simply snipe seven of the flying things for the achievement. Leave the Covenant alive so the flying dudes stay attacking them and don't look your way.

Another spot is on "High Charity" when the drones are fighting the flood. Kill the drones during this section.

Note: "From behind" does not mean you need to melee them, nor does it mean you have to hit them in the back. You can snipe seven enemies in the face and still get this.

Demon25
Complete any campaign level without dying once on Normal, Heroic, or Legendary
Obviously easiest on Normal, and then on the first level. Nothing really special about it, just hide when you're getting hit to reload your shields. On Normal you can take a lot of damage before you die, so this shouldn't be hard.
Go Ape Shiv20
Kill an enraged, berserk Brute by melee, any level, any difficulty
At the beginning of the level "Gravemind" you will begin in a room with two large brutes. Kill one and the other one will freak out and drop to all fours and charge you. Simply jump over it and melee it in the back to kill it. Obviously easier on lower difficulty. Use a plasma shot to take its shields down first if you're having trouble.
Stick It5
Stick an opponent with a plasma grenade and blow them up
Simply get one stick at any time during a match. Try to line yourself up with the person. If you've snuck up on a sniper, instead of beating them down, use a sticky.
Counterpoint5
Kill the sword carrier
As long as someone has a sword in their hand, they are a "sword carrier" so you will need to kill them any way you can. Sticking them as they lunge you works even if you die.
Carjacking5
Steal an occupied vehicle from an opponent and take it over
Easiest to take ghosts away. Try to hide inside a small building or around a corner and wait for the person to follow you, then rush them and jack it.
Violent Cartographer25
Play every available default map and stay in each game until it’s over
You need three people minimum to count for this achievement. Find two people who need it, then load up a map and set the time or kills to the lowest possible. Play out the game, then change the map and do the same thing.
Rainman25
Play every available game variant, with at least 3 other players, to the end of each game
You need three people minimum for this achievement. Work on this and "Violent Cartographer" at the same time. For this you need to play every game and variant possible. Each game type has a few variants inside that need to be played as well. That means you can't just play one type of King of the Hill, you need to play all of them. Same with every other game type. Set the time or kills needed to the lowest possible, then finish the match and change the game/map as needed. Everyone but the party leader can go AFK during this and that person will need to win the matches and control the changing of the games/maps.
Double Kill20
Kill 2 opponents within 4 seconds
See "Killtacular" for more information.
Triple Kill20
Kill 3 opponents within 4 seconds
See "Killtacular" for more information.
Killtacular20
Kill 4 opponents within 4 seconds
Your best bet on this is a King of the Hill game since everyone will be running to the same area. Try to get the sword or rockets and get a clump of people at once.
Killing Spree20
Kill 5 opponents in a row in the same game, without dying
This is easiest in a ghost or with a sniper. Using the sword or a rocket launcher is also a good idea.
Running Riot20
Kill 10 opponents in a row in the same game, without dying
See "Killing Spree" for more information.
Sniper Kill10
Kill an opponent with the sniper rifle or the beam rifle
Simply get one kill with a sniper. This does not have to be a headshot, you can get two body shots to kill someone.
Roadkill10
Run over, hit and kill an opponent with a vehicle
Easiest with a ghost, simply find two people fighting and barge in or find someone facing away from you to hit in the back.
Bonecracker10
Hit and kill an opponent with a melee attack
Many fights will come into close quarters, especially on smaller maps. Get off a melee after taking a bit of shield down and they should die.
Assassin10
Melee an opponent from behind
This is a one-hit kill, so find a sniper looking through a scope or use active camo to sneak up on someone and melee them from behind.
Skewer Stopper20
Kill the sword carrier after they kill 5 or more times in a row with the sword

This achievement can be tricky legit, since you have to find someone who is on a Killing Streak with only the sword, then make sure you kill him while he has the sword out. If he switches to another weapon, he is no longer a "sword carrier" and it won't count.

Maps: Lockout, Ivory Tower, Midship, Warlock

Note: You can do most of the multiplayer achievements with yourself and one friend by starting a game and just letting each other do whatever is needed.

Vigilante10
Stop a Killing Spree of another player
You should be able to get this during normal matches, just play a few and kill everyone you can, most likely someone will be on a killing spree sooner or later. If you're having trouble, start a match with a friend and let them kill you five times, then kill him.
Air Traffic Control20
Blow up the Banshee in flight while manned, with grenades or the rocket launcher

Grab a rocket launcher during any gametype and hold the trigger to lock on and blow it up. Extremely simple.

Maps: Ascension, Coagulation, Waterworks, Headlong, Containment

Decorated Soldier10
Get awarded at least 8 different medals in one non-team game

Here are the types of medals you will need for this:

  • Sniper (snipe someone)
  • Sticky (stick some one with a plasma grenade)
  • Assassination (hit someone in the back)
  • Beatdown (kill someone with a melee)
  • Double Kill (kill two players within 4 seconds)
  • Killing Spree (kill five players without dying)
  • Hijack (board a vehicle)
  • Road Kill (run someone over)
This is very difficult to get legit, but it can be done. It is easiest to get two friends and trade medals.

Note: You will need at least three people to boost this achievement because of the double kill. Also, getting a double and a triple kill only counts as one medal, same with killing spree and killing frenzy. Those just take your highest medal and give it to you, not both.

Ninja20
In a non-team game, kill 5 people by melee, from behind
You will need five assassinations to get this. Simple enough, but an all-snipers game can help with this since everyone will be looking down scopes. Just run around the map trying to get behind people.
Flaming Ninja20
Kill an opponent that has the Ninja achievement
See "Hired Gun" for more information.
Hired Gun20
Kill an opponent who has the Legend achievement
You can either find someone by chance during matches that has this, or ask a friend who has it to let them kill you, or simply get the achievement yourself by getting "Legend" and then running into the large beam on the level "Uplift." For some reason that works, but blowing yourself up with grenades or rockets does not.
