I use the old boom shield trick to stop the bloodmounts getting in my safe zone but just keep dieing on wave 30. Trouble is, once i've set up the shields on the bloodmount waves (10,20,30... etc) i'm stuck there, as if i try to venture out, i'm dead in an instant. And because they get stronger every 10th wave, i don't seem to have enough ammo to get me through, despite it been full prior to wave 30. I think the developers should have handicapped the difficulty so it's possible with 1 player and maybe increased the difficulty depending on how many active players are in a game.

Any way I'll beat all the 50 waves BY MY SELF!!!!!!!!! isn't that cool?????? and If you are wondering on which map did I play, I played on pavilion using the safe area trick where the boom shield exists and used the lancer with the big dudes and shot them in the head. And for the Bloodmounts if u r using this trick DO NOT KILL THE BLOODMOUNT FIRST cuz if u killed the beast the rider will take over the shield and you'll die instantly so kill the rider first. And one last thing at the 20 last wave do not plant the grenades cuz this will be a big waste of your precious grenades that you can use against the Fat-ass dudes. And last last

If you want the cheevo with no effort, do the following: Load a custom mp horde match on "Security". After the start of round one just run to the switch that opens the barriers towards the mulcher / mortar, hit the switch and run to the mulcher / mortar. Stay alive until the barriers go up again. Et voila, sit back and watch a movie or two while the tickers can't get to you and blow themselves up round after round. You could also do this on insane difficulty, if you still need the Veteran Gears achievement. Every round of horde during the 25x XP event gives you over 6k XP. The amount of time needed for sitting out all 50 ticker only waves is the same on all difficu

I camped out on the ledge with the mortar/hammer, both for cover and for easy access to those weapons. Using a boomshield (dropped by one of those giant locust, not the one that spawns in the arcade) to help seal the place up was very important, especially against bloodmounts. I started on normal difficulty, but changed it at wave 30. I kept dying, and got sick of repeating round 29 (so I could have a shield at the start of 30). I'm hoping to redeem myself during Icy Dead People, and do all waves on at least normal.
