Wild Thing Achievement in Final Fantasy XIII-2

Successfully used Feral Link abilities a significant number of times.

  • How to unlock Wild Thing

You will need to use Feral Link 100 times for this achievement. Feral Link is a special monster ability, so you will need to have your third party member set up before you can do this. As you battle, the Feral Link gauge will slowly increase (there are abilities monsters can have that will increase this rate, as well as accessories you can equip), then once it fills you can press to perform the FL. During the QTE, make sure you hit the button(s) in time or it will not count toward this total.

  • this is the special attack that have each monster?
  • what!!!
  • In the demo, I feral linked, but i don't know what i did. Are all of these 'significant numbers' the same number or is each one different?
  • oh.
  • ps3 trophy guide says use your monster allies special attack 100 times. Should prob come naturally early in you playthrough.
  • Was just playing and was pressing buttons trying to make Serah attack before all the gauges filled up, and triggered a quicktime event with my creature by pressing x. I assume this is what this is. I am not sure if I had to have staggered the enemy or whether you can do this at any point in the battle, as I wasn't trying to do it. Will have another go tomorrow.
  • #5 is correct, 100 times will do it, same number for Staggering,No Retreat and Budding Hunter.
  • when you have a monster in your party it will have a feral link guage underneath its hp bar that will fill up during the course of a battle. when the feral link bar fills up press "x" and just follow the quicktime event that follows.
  • Do you got to do it in row perfect.
  • i would say not it doesnt have to be perfect or with only one monster, or in a row for that matter... just do 100 links and it sounds like it should pop up... dont have it myuself and ive used like less than 10 :)
  • My advice for this one is to make a paradigm pack that has 3 easy Feral Links in it, I used Purple Chocobo, Silver Chocobo and Cloudburst. Then have Paradigms where you have all 3 of the monsters in them and Sarah and Noel as Sentinals. The one with Silver Chocobo should have S and N as Medics (Combat Clinic). Make sure you have at least one Paradigm set you can actually kill somthing with. Head for the Archelyte Steppe and set the weather to rainy, left lever up, right lever down. Head for the Swampy area to the west. Make sure you don't have the Increased speed fragment ability on. Find a fight with 3 Swampmonks and a Mewmeo in it and switch to Combat Clinic. Wait for your Feral link to charge up on your Silver Chocobo then use it. By this time the other 2 should be ready, use theirs too
  • Switch back to Combat Clinic and repeat until done. The Mewmeo will keep the Swampmonks alive. This will work faster if you have a Feral Link Accessory equiped. You NEED to complete the sequence sucsessfully for it to count.
  • not trackable i'm guessing :/
  • ¬_¬ No 0 or 5 at the end. Why did they think that was a good idea.
  • I recommend using feral link every time its full regardless of the situation because if not this one will need to be boosted at the end of the game
  • Spiranthes had Feral Speed 2, and I don't know if that matters, but constantly casting Cure upon it with 3 medics boosted its gauge. With 2 full ATB bars or so, it'd be ready to use its extremely-simple Mash-A skill. Doing it against a MewMao meant little damage to actually tend to, which allowed it to auto-use the whole bar for healing/boosting link.
