No matter how good you are at games this will take you a long time to do as the online achievements can take an age to collect. Mainly the ranking up to level 30 (Warlord) and upgrading all weapons (Soldier of Misfortune) are the two that take the time.

Introduction:
This game has a total of 48 achievements worth a score of 1000. All achievements can be unlocked in one playthrough if you dont get any glitches, you make sure you do everything in the North before going into the South, and you make sure you finished everything before the last mission. 14 achievements are only attainable through online play. All others need to be collected in story mode.

There are also quite a few glitches in this game but the main one which causes people to miss between 3-5 achievements is the Cell Tower missions. This is because when doing a cell tower mission you have to kill a selected target. This target however some times gets away but you still get a mission complete. This means you don't not get the correct number of Diamond you should have so this causes you to miss all diamond and cell tower related achievements.

How to fix this.

When doing a cell tower mission be sure to save before starting the mission. Make sure you get the diamonds when finishing this mission if you do not get the diamonds. Reload your save and try again.

Step 1: Playthrough:

You can get all the achievements in one playthrough as long as you get them in the correct order and get the north achievements before heading to the south.

This is the order that i would try to do things before moving on with missions.

North
1. Find all save houses in the North
2. Hit all weapons convoys
3. Save all Buddies in the North
4. Find all Diamonds (can do them all at once at the end but its easier)
5. Find all Jackal Logs (can do them all at once at the end but its easier)
6. Do all the Cell Tower Missions. (Make sure to get diamonds)
7. Start the story missions (Make sure you subvert all missions and do 1 mission for both sides)

South
1. Find all save houses in the North
2. Hit all weapons convoys
3. Save all Buddies in the North
4. Find all Diamonds (can do them all at once at the end but its easier)
5. Find all Jackal Logs (can do them all at once at the end but its easier)
6. Do all the Cell Tower Missions. (Make sure to get diamonds)
7. Start the story missions (Make sure you subvert all missions and do 1 mission for both sides) Also save before the last mission if your unsure when that it save around 90% and get all achievements that you may have missed. You cant go back.

Make sure to save before finishing the game. YOU CAN'T GO BACK TO FINISH THINGS YOU HAVE MISSED!!

Got this on Main Mission 11 for the UFLL you have to go to Goka Falls and kill Prosper Kouassi.

Wages of Conflict

Aquire all conflict diamonds in the game available through payment or exploration

You'll need to find all 221 briefcases and needed to have done all payed missions and that give you a total of 1000 conflict diamonds. The paid missions are all the Main Misssions and Cell Tower Mission.

Making friends

Save a Buddy from captivity

You will save you first buddy from captivity right at the start of the game. (Mission 2) You mission is to go to a slaughter house and release the hostage. Once this has been done you will get this achievement.

The best laid plans

Work with a Buddy to subvert a mission offered by a faction

The first chance you get to get this mission is Main Mission 4 as long as you dont kill all your buddies before hand. This is the mission where you have to Assissinate a local cheif consatable for the APR. You can ether intercept his car and kill him or if you wont the achievement your buddy will phone you offering you a better way of killing him. Do your buddies way to get the points.

Wanderer

Find all the Safe Houses in Leboa-Sako - the Northern Territory

North District Safe House Marked by the Tent icon will make more clearer map soon.

Turn over the first set of the Jackal's audio logs to the Journalist

You will find these through out the game, as of yet I havent found a map of these yet. But will post a link when there is.

Messenger

Complete all the available Underground side-quests in both the North and the South

These are forced missions you have to do these when you run out of Medicine there are 3 Missions in the North and 4 in the South.

Supply...

Unlock new weapons by hitting a Convoy

After you are told that the tutorial is over, you can visit your local weapon dealer, go up to him and press Y for this side missions. after you blow up the truck or damage it heavily the mission is complete, and you will get this achievement.

On the run

Escape the Town

After the cut scence at the the start of the game you need to try and escape from the town. The quickest and easiest way to get this is to die. You then get picked up and driven out of town.

Down but not out

Escape to Bowa-Seko - the Southern Territory

"Story related"

After you have picked the Church or your buddies in the final mission of the North Territory. You will have to do one mission in the desert. When this is done you are told to meet Voorheer in Sefapane. Which is in the South Territory you will then get this achievement.

Weapon Specialist

Purchase the manuals and acquire the bandolier for one weapon

See "Weapon Expert"

Bagman

Deliver stamped travel documents to the Underground in exchange for medicine

Once you run out of medicine, you can accept a mission from the priest to deliver some documents. after you completed the mission the achievement unlocks.

Lineman

Complete a Mission intercepted from a cellular tower signal

See "Utility Man" achievement

Dawa ya moto ni moto

Break the ceasefire and reignite the conflict

"Story related"

You get this after you do the first prober mission in the South Territory when you have to protect the druck boat. Successfully keep the boat intact until you reach the port to unlock this achievement.

Lent a hand

Complete a Buddy side quest

Return to Mike after the tutorial and your 1st buddy will give you a side quest,finish the mission to unlock this achievement.

Out of the frying pan...

Get rescued by a Buddy

Once you have got your 2nd buddy from Mike bar, go and die and your buddy will come to rescue you.

Dr Livingston, I presume

Enter every 1 square kilometer map region of the world

You will probley get this in your process through the game just run around everywhere and you will eventually get this. You need to enter every square on the map there is 19 in total, 9 in the North, 9 in the South and 1 in the Desert.

Pulitzer material

Turn over all of the Jackal's audio logs to the Journalist

Weapons Expert

Purchase the manuals and acquire the bandoliers for every weapon

You can buy the manual for each weapon once you have purchased that weapon. Just highlight the weapon and press LB/RB to scroll through.

The Bandoliers appears in the upgrade list to purchase. Just use RB to get to the other lists, in the computer.

Playing both sides...

Switch sides in Leboa-Sako - the Northern Territory

In the Northan Territory just finish a mission for each of both factions, unlocks after you finish a mission for the second faction.

Switch sides in Bowa-Seko - the Southern Territory

In the Southan Territory just finish a mission for each of both factions, unlocks after you finish a mission for the second faction.

...and demand.

Unlock all weapons by hitting every Convoy

Get this by going to the Weapons dealer near Mikes bar. He will give you different Convoy missions that will unlock weapons complete all these for the achievement.
There is 4 missions in the North and 4 in the South.

Wipe out the senior leadership of both Factions and determine who will be the new Warlords

Save a Buddy from a mortal wound

Do the mission where you have to get the gold for the UNLL (or whatever theyre called), subvert the mission by taking your buddy up on their request to do things differently. then when you go to the oasis with your buddy as the last part of the mission, go down the hole where the gold is and press back next to the gold as you normally would, then save. now come out of the hole and your buddy shouldve taken a pounding and be on deaths door. if not on deaths door already, let them sweat it out a bit longer than mop up the bad guys(this is an easy mission with it being so early on in the game). go over to her and start the whole heal/kill process by pressing Y and blow her brains out. one achievement. reload the last save, do it all again but this time save her and carry on the game like normal! two achievements

The third faction

Rescue all the Buddies from their respective predicaments

Make sure you save all Buddies from the north area before starting the south district you cannot go back and save them after.

North Territory

Ruthless

Subvert all the main faction missions in Leboa-Sako - the Northern Territory

You get this when you to the "Secondary Option" on every mission you can. When I say "Secondary Option" I mean when you get a mission and you get an option of doing it in a different way than the way you were asked eg. Go to a different location first and kill someone else before you kill main guy.

Cold Blooded

Subvert all the main faction missions in Bowa-Seko - the Southern Territory

Utility Man

Complete all Missions intercepted from cellular tower signals

After the tutorial you are free to go the a cellular tower(correct me if it is the wrong word) and accomplish the mission given. The towers are marked by satalite dish icons and can be seen from far away as they are tall red towers. Just walk up to the tower and press Y on the metal plate at the base of the tower.
There are 6 cell towers in total.

Comfort a Buddy and ease his passing

Get highest revives count in a ranked match

Just stick with your team, staying back a little bit and taking cover. When one drops, run up to them. You'll be prompted to hit Y to revive them.
Just do this more than anyone else in the round. Hitting the Back button will show you the scorecard and how many Revives each person has.

Hired Gun

Reach Rank 5 (Ranked Match)

To reach rank 5 you need 2,100 cp

Superior Captain

Win a round as the Captain in Uprising mode (Ranked Match)

In uprising mode the Captain is assigned randomly if your the captain just win the the game and you get the achievement. If your not the captain you can vote to change the captain and hope you get assigned it.

Best in Class

Get highest xp total in one match (Ranked Match)

Just try to win the match. Get as many kills as you can help your team as much as you can. Im not really sure which game type would be best for this play the one your best at.

War Party

Win a match with 16 players (Ranked Match)

Just play a game mode with 16 players I found that Team Deathmatch is the best as your more likely to get 8 people a side, and if your team wins you get the achievement.

Upgraded Player

Upgrade one class 3 times (Ranked Match)

Just upgrade one of your gun with three Diamonds you will earn Diamonds as you rank up in Ranked Matches.

Safari Tour

Play at least one full round in every Official Map (Ranked Match)

Just play a match on each map listed below.Not sure if you have to play each map on each game type though.

Revive as many team mate in each game as you can to revive a team mate, when they get knocked down they will have a Cross above there heads so you can see where they are just run up to them and press Y

Warlord

Achieve Rank 30 (Ranked Match)

To Reach Rank 30 you need 1,500,000 XP
10 XP for killing an opponent.
5 XP for doing it with bullets, with a headshot, with an explosion, with flames, with a vehicle, with a machete, and for executing a downed opponent.
15 XP for reviving a teammate.
You also get XP for capturing and scoring with a diamond and for capturing control points in Uprising or killing the enemy captain.

Soldier of Misfortune

Unlock field manuals for all weapons (Ranked match)

You need to fill every bar for every weapon. You can few your proscess before you start the game by pressing X to Load Out and you can also do this when you die during the game.

Mapper

Create a map and get it validated in all game modes

Start the map editor. Once you're in, hit the Start button and go to "Validation". Look under each game type, there will be a list of things you need on your map with check boxes. Add the things you need, working your way though until you get all check boxes checked. If you see any under "Map" that are blank and say something isn't clear, it means you put that thing in a place it can't be, ie spawn point. Once all boxes are checked, Save your map and the achievement is yours.

Adventurer

Download and rate 25 usermaps

From the Main Menu go to "Map Community" then "Download New Maps". Download 25 different maps. Once done, go back to the Main Menu and to "Multiplayer" then "Player Match" the "Create Match" then highlight "Map Cycle" and hit A. Add the first 15 of the 25 maps you downloaded into the cycle by highlighting them and pressing A (you can only add up to 15 at a time). Set "Private Slot" to the same number as "Maximum Players" is set at. Then "Launch Match". Select "Force Launch" when available or "Ready". Once the map loads, check it out a little, then hit Start and go to "Cancel Match".
On the Summary screen, notice it says to hit Y to rate. So hit Y and give your rating. Once the Lobby comes back up you'll be on the next map in line. Repeat. Took me about an hour, maybe an hour and a half.

Some Extra Tips that might help.

1. Buddies go missing for no reason(story related)

2. Buddies can all live and all die it doesnt matter for the achievements as long as you once during the game find all of them, and of course subvert 12 missions 6 south 6 north

3. You guys may think that the game is kinda confusing but all your questions will be awnsered at the end of the story

4.If you used mmorphine on your buddy 3 times and it didnt work...its because he or she got wounded twice.....the first time they fall u can save them....the second you cant!!

5. You can only do underground missions when you are close to running out of pills....you only get close to running out of pills when you do story related missions....so if you wanna get diamonds, tapes and other things not related to story dont worry....malaria wont bother you!!

6. Try to do all non-story related achievements when you reach exacly 73% of story....if you do a story mission from there....you wont be able to go back to cellphone tower and other side missions!!

	If the content is good, or for a game I love, I'll buy it regardless of whether chievos are included
	I'll still buy and play the downloadable content, but achievements would be nice.
