![]() | Comment #18 by GaryYEAH Sunday, September 02, 2012 @ 05:38:31 PM I'll adopt the child and then revert to a previous save. I don't want some whiny little brat getting in the way of my Fus-Ro-Dah-ing :P. xx |
![]() | Comment #19 by Restricted-Access Sunday, September 02, 2012 @ 07:45:47 PM @18 Seriously! The last thing I need in a game, is something that puts a drain on my fortune, or requires me to go to parent-teacher night at the Bard's College!! Where's the other achievement... "Sacrificed your own child as bait to catch a dragon!" |
![]() | Comment #21 by el_pieablo Monday, September 03, 2012 @ 02:27:08 AM Go away COD fanboy ^ |
![]() | Comment #22 by Darc Apocalypse Monday, September 03, 2012 @ 06:21:14 AM 1. Build House with tower on mountain 2. Adopt a child 3. Fus Ro Dah child off of tower 4. ???? 5. PROFIT It's a shame it isn't GFWL on PC, I'll get the DLC, but no achievements for me until Skyrim hits the bargain bins.. not dishing out full price for the same game twice :) |
![]() | Comment #23 by Fridgeater Monday, September 03, 2012 @ 10:15:34 AM @20 If you don't like the game why the hell are you looking at this achievement list? Go away pillock. And MW3 is dull, I have no interest in playing it. Anyway... knowing elder scrolls this will end up being some big quest. lol |
![]() | Comment #24 by mitcho2013 Monday, September 03, 2012 @ 11:57:42 AM @20 GTFO COD Fanboy/Troll. And how dare you say that MW3 is better than Skyrim! Skyrim is 500x better than MW3. Skyrim isn't a game that is the copy of a game made 5 years ago! And atleast Skyrim's DLC isn't overpriced. I mean c'mon, 4 maps for $15? That's pretty overpriced. |
![]() | Comment #25 by Gamingnonstop Monday, September 03, 2012 @ 01:19:33 PM @18 same I don't want to be looking after a kid when I'm slaying Things and exploring bt I'll be building a massive house and loading most of my Belongings into it |

![]() | Comment #29 by Aqua18 Tuesday, September 04, 2012 @ 08:03:32 AM Can you do this before you build a house, and where can you adopt one? |
![]() | Comment #30 by Neme6ben Tuesday, September 04, 2012 @ 09:06:49 AM you can't do this before building an house, you even have to furnish the house before adopting a children, so that the child has a room! |
![]() | Comment #31 by DragonBikerNick Tuesday, September 04, 2012 @ 09:55:13 AM u can adopt before u build a house. if u own a house in a town u can buy furnishings for a child bedroom. then u can adopt. only 2 children can be adopted at a time |

![]() | Comment #35 by SoaponaRope Tuesday, September 04, 2012 @ 04:53:06 PM Not to sound like a heartless bastard but can you get rid of the kid after you get the achievement??? I don't really have interest in playing Skyrim as Angelina Jolie... |
![]() | Comment #36 by xUnseenx Tuesday, September 04, 2012 @ 09:39:19 PM Go to Riften and talk with the manager of the Orphanage, once you talk to the kids and tell them you want to adopt them, the achievo will pop. |
![]() | Comment #37 by RandyRelentless Wednesday, September 05, 2012 @ 04:28:07 AM Or you can adopt the girl in Whiterun. She's sitting on the bench begging for gold. |

![]() | Comment #42 by alex182 Thursday, September 06, 2012 @ 04:23:52 PM I have all the requirements from what I can tell yet I can't get any dialogue from the woman at the orphanage, she just says I need a house blah blah blah. I haven't built all 3 wings yet but I figured that shouldn't matter? Anyone know of a fix? Cheers |
![]() | Comment #43 by comrad john 117 Friday, September 07, 2012 @ 11:52:59 AM Do you need to be married to adopt? Because I killed my wife a long time ago. |
![]() | Comment #44 by Vectorman953 Friday, September 07, 2012 @ 04:33:11 PM I can verify that in order to adopt you must build TWO childrens beds (with chests too) in order to have the orphanage woman continue the conversation. |
![]() | Comment #45 by KimikoAmaya Friday, September 07, 2012 @ 11:07:12 PM I built two single beds and a double and I was able to adopt two children no prob. I just told her I was the Dragonborn and she handed over the kids. I did buy a child's doll and practice mannequin prior. |
![]() | Comment #46 by macktheknife Saturday, September 08, 2012 @ 11:16:40 AM They are getting an arrow to the skull as soon as the chivo pops |
![]() | Comment #47 by GentlemanJack40 Saturday, September 08, 2012 @ 10:12:35 PM Is it possible to move your child to another home? I have my wife in my home in Solitude but my kid in my home in Whiterun.... Any suggestions? Thanks. |

![]() | Comment #50 by Jaws as Crowns Monday, September 10, 2012 @ 07:19:41 PM Is there a specific house you must furnish. I have everything ready at the north most house but the bitch still won't let me adopt. |
![]() | Comment #51 by Jezz489 Tuesday, September 18, 2012 @ 07:32:12 AM Guys all you have to do is build a house with the atleast just the bedroom wing. After you do that go inside and build at least 2 beds and 2 chests then go to the Orphanage in Riften and talk to the person you get kids off and she will let you buy one, you should then get the achievement. If your having trouble add me and message me on XBL. GamerTag: LTvOrange |
![]() | Comment #52 by EX Fallen Angel Wednesday, November 14, 2012 @ 10:34:22 PM After looking at these achievements etc. IS the DLC even worth getting. Like, I'm not that interested in adopting a child. That completely skips the fun part and leaves you with the hard part. |
![]() | Comment #53 by shinobigarth Wednesday, February 06, 2013 @ 09:05:45 PM i built them a room, put 2 beds in it and went to the orphanage with no luck, only to find you have to have a child's chest too. WTF do kids need a chest for! i gave them a bed and a roof over their head, sheesh! |
![]() | Comment #54 by videogamenerd22 Thursday, February 21, 2013 @ 11:57:35 AM At first, I didn't realize that this was for the DLC. |
