If you continue to play with one character you will eventually max out the character and Mobile Suit but you will not gain all of the skills for that one Character. If you continue to play with one character you will gain one more skill per copleated mission (win or lose). So that, if you continue to play as that character you will eventually unlock all the skills for that character.

Tips

1) Here is an Easy way to compleate every characters' story mode if you do not have a co-op partner but you do have a second controller. First compleate one story mode with any character so as by the end of the story mode one character will be high level. (It is suggested that you use some one like Heero or anyone you work best with.) Then start a new story mode with the character you want to compleat and with the second controller choose your high level character. Then when the missions start hide your low level character (first player) in the corner and compleate the mission with your high level character (second player). This also helps to aquire all skills for your high level character as you will use him/her multiple times and will eventually aquire all of the skills for that character.

2) If you want to quickly compleate missions the quickest character to do it with is Haman on her last Offical mode stage. It is very quick to complete, Otaking584 fastest time is about 5m30s.

I use Heero compleatly maxed out using these skills: Fighting Instinct, Spirit Surge, Range Enhance, Serene Mind in Original mode on his first mission on medium difficulty and I avereage around 550-600 kills 6 aces 7 field captured and time ranging from 7m45s to 9m30s.

3) If you do have a co-op partner that will play with you there is a simple system you can follow that will make beating all of those story modes alot easier.

First compleate one story mode with a co-op partner so that who ever you partner picks will be leveled up but not yet compleated the story mode. Then on your next time choose who your partner was last time so that you are leveld up and have your partner choose some one who has not been leveled up yet. Rinse and reuse untill you have compleated all story modes. Then be sure to give your co-op partner a big hug for leveling up all of those characters for you.

4) To get quick kills you can use Kamille in Official mode mission 1. Clear the initial fields and then book it toward the bottom left hand corner of the map. In a few moments a group of enemy mechs show up but there is no field and they will continue to infinetly respawn. Continue bashing them until the level ends with your team mate quattro getting killed. It takes about 20 minutes and I can get anywhere from 2000 to 3000 kills. With 2 players we can score 4000 to 6000 kills apiece. xRogue 5x uses a Quebly MK II Mobile Suit for its attack speed but any fast attacking Mobile Suite should work.

I have once recieved 1000 kills with Heero on his last mission by just going through the mission while playing co-op, so i was sharing the kills with my bro. playing Domon and he got about 600 kills.

Note: All of the achivements will not unlock untill the game is saved. You are prompted to save at the end of each mission (completed or failed) and if you go to the options on the very right there is a data save/load option. Also you may only have one profile signed in at one time to save. So to play co-op the second controller cannot be signed in to a account. (To prevent gamesaves)

Note: Also every achievement is unlockable in every game difficulty. None are restricted to any one difficulty. So that you can unlock any achievement playing either easy, normal or hard.
