Man at Arms Achievement in Dungeons & Dragons: Daggerdale

  • Man at Arms

    20

Collect 1 of every weapon in the game

  • How to unlock Man at Arms

This is mostly speculation at this point, but I believe what the game refer to is weapon types. If you look closely at your weapons tab in the inventory, all weapons have their own little blurry circular images. A weapon called [Effect] + [Name/Type] + [Effect or Modifier] share the same weapon icon with [Effect] + [Name/Type] so a Fiery Dagger +1 is the same as a Deadly Dagger.

I kept track of all the unique weapon names I could find through one playthrough, and the achievement popped on a Heavy War Pick during the end. Here they are:

    --- EDGED (Blades / Axes / Special) ---
    Dagger
    Short Sword
    Elven Short Sword
    Longsword
    Tiefling Bastard Sword
    Greatsword
    Dragonborn Greatsword
    Scimitar
    --
    Kopesh
    Battleaxe
    Dwarven Waraxe
    Greataxe

    --- BLUNT (Hammers / Clubs / Picks / Staffs / Special) ---
    Mace
    Morningstar
    Dwarven Warhammer
    Mordenkrad
    Club
    Heavy War Pick
    --
    Quarterstaff
    Ornate Quarterstaff
    Elven Quarterstaff

    --- PROJECTILE (Thrown / Bows / Crossbows) ---
    Throwing Dagger
    Handaxe
    Shuriken
    Throwing Hammer
    Dwarven Throwing Hammer
    --
    Crossbow
    Hand Crossbow
    Shortbow
    Longbow
    Elven Greatbow

  • Please say this will be easier than the FFXIII achievement of the same description
  • Let´s hope they won´t have to be in your inventory at the same time.
  • If this game is like Oblivion and Torchlight, then damn this will take for ever.
  • Kind of sad that a dungeoncrawler-esque looking game has preset weapons and not randomly generated ones though (which I assume is true based on this achievement).
  • @Azn way to be a pessimist. In fact this game does have randomly generated loot. They are referring to the weapon type e.g. Sword, bow, etcetera. It has yet to be determined if they mean short bow, long bow, recurve, that whole deal.
  • I have a feeling I probably won't get this achievement... I am still looking forward to this being released!
  • Having played through the first chapter I cant think this is anything other than weapon-types as suggested by Zweipolig. Found some 5-6 types in the first tutorial chapter, like dagger, short sword, kopesh, etc.
  • Well, as soon as someone has a compiled list please post. I'm working on it now myself, so if I can get it first I will post it up.
  • It is one of every weapon type just got it half way thru act 3
  • do they have to be in your possession at the same time, or you just have had to pick them up at some point?
  • I had this achievement unlock after picking up an Ornate Quarterstaff while 3 other Quarterstaves were sitting in my inventory. This was the first time I had seen the prefix Ornate which lead me to believe that perhaps this achievement refers to the various prefixes and suffixes that can be generated. If this is the case then I certainly did not have all the various types in my inventory at one time. Further confirmation would be needed.
  • I just got this after picking up the Silver Greataxe of Thorns +1. I'm in "The Depths". I believe you will get this just by picking up the random drops from enemies.
  • Well I found A list on -http://www.trueachievements.com/a151399/man-at-arms-achievement.htm- I went that list off but i didnt had all of the weapons in my inventory and got the achievement by buying a DRAGONBORN GREATSWORD. I already bought a Greatsword, but not a DRAGONBORN GREATSWORD so I think I can confirm that you need all the weapons but not in you're inventory. Hope this helps you out.
  • Heh.. Turns out that there is a (white non-magical) version of the Ornate Quaterstaff. Great link, Crazy Monk NL!
  • received at the beginning of Chapter 3 simply collect all the items on the road.
  • Do you have to collect all weapons and save them or can you sell them after getting one?
  • Wow I actually JUST got this achievement a brief second ago, by choosing my new level 1 warrior character, then pressing B and rechoosing multiplayer and picking my 10 rogue and then the achievement popped when I didn't even pick up a weapon, I was on the main screen for multiplayer..
  • I got this achievement today by loading a character I have been using for a while. I think this achievement is bugged, and will pop at random.
