You can just run back and forth from the stash and throw pipe bombs over the wall and kill the boss this way. Hope this helps you.

No in all seriousness, I used my pipe bombs to take out the smaller octopus things, if you do it long enough he will stop spawning them long enough for you to get in a few shots with the devastator. When you get him to 60% to 50% health, he will stop spawning enemies all together, then you just need to focus on him without dying. After you drained him, he will go down. But be careful, you need to reload then pelt him when he pulls the cart closer, just keep shooting him and you win.

Shrink and pipe bomb the spawns. Also don't underestimate the pistol. Headshotting pigs makes sure they don't go berserk which can be a bitch.

	Comment #43 by aMourningshadow Tuesday, June 21, 2011 @ 03:49:16 PM just a tip i found that for the crash course section in insane (which i agree is the hardest part ive experienced so far) you can use the autoaim by zooming in and on the ships by rapidly pressing left trigger and holding down the fire button, makes killing them at a distance a lot easier, just try to keep the gun from overheating and you should be able to get through.

By far the hardest part were the turret sections. You need to abuse the aim assist. When you scope with left trigger your aimer will lock on to a target that is extremely close. To abuse this you must spam left trigger, this will keep your crosshair constantly on the target your aiming at. To make sure your turret does not overheat spam your fire button, instead of holding it down. Another tip is do not hesitate to use your beer, roids, and holoduke, you do not want to run into one and not have already used your current one. (I have gotten this far while keeping the golden pistol).

I skipped that and went on to do the last 3 levels on Insane (with Gold Pistol) and Duke Burger (with Gold Pistol). So, after you pass Crash Course and the Octaking (which is easy if you use the pipe bomb tactic) then it is smooth sailing.

For the octoking I got the shrink ray form the secret closet from forkstop and used that to shrink the little creatures and just finished them off with the devestator also use your holo-duke as it makes it much easier. For the crash course I go with the left trigger stragtey but also learn where the ships are coming from as it is scripted. Last be careful of the cycloid emperor because if you die you have to restart the whole fight again and this can be time consuming hope this helps.

Even without the "DUKE 3D FREEZE RAY" Extra Game Setting, I was able to get through the campaign with no apparent problem. It's a challenging campaign, but I've played much harder. 6.5/10 difficulty. Good luck.
