What's affinity? I assume like your character's paragon or renegade from mass effect?

The way it is worded it sounds like affinity is most likely the affection level of your companions/pawns

Given that there is a heart behind to figures holding hands, I would assume this deals with an NPC's affection towards the player.

Huh, I guess this refers to the romance options that were mentioned...Go figure.

I did this on accident with Madelaine by simply doing her quests, and for doing the Duke's female companions quest. They both had a pinkish aura that appeared when I talked to them, never gave either of them a gift.

seems to be bugged for me. Got full affinity with both Madeline and the Dutchess (from doing Arousing Suspision) and achievement didn't pop :(

Finally got it after a shit-load of white lilly flowers and doing the Arousing Suspision AND Duchess in Distress quests. Fussy bitch.

I got this with Quina fairly early in the game. I gave her 2 Capeflowers, which I found exploring outside Cassardis, and after the Witchwood quest she was already maxed out. I haven't tried it, but it seems bandits would be very easy as well because they like skulls, and skulls are plentiful.
