To unlock the Tournament, you have to beat the Adept level tournament, then got to the skills shop (capsule shop) and buy it for 6,000 zenie. It is 5 rounds with the winner progressing and to win either KO or Ring Out your opponent.

#3 same happened to me, all i did was unlocked all the characters that i could get and it just showed up in the shop randomly |
