Introduction:
DJ Hero has 50 achievements for 1000. To unlock them all you will need to be able to five star everything on Expert Difficulty. Because achievements are stackable you only need to do an Expert playthough, except that, being the first DJ Hero game, it is unlikely that you’ll be able to pick up and start with Expert. If you have experience with music games I suggest starting on medium. If you want to start on Expert go to the “Expert Career” section.
Career on Hard or below:
First thing you’ll want to do is complete the tutorials. Do so to unlock Graduation. After that start with the setlist “Scratching the Surface” and keep moving along to the right. Even if you’re having difficulty five starring the songs I suggest that, as long as you continue to unlock more venues, keep moving on and come back to five star the songs later. The learning curve for this game is set nicely so as you move through career you WILL get better, and then going back to the earlier songs to five star them will be cake. Assuming you’ve five starred your medium career you will have likely unlocked all of the following:
My First Set, The Full Set, Super Scratchin’, Harsh Fader, Special Effects!, Good Times, Multiplier Madness, REEEWIINNNNDD!!!, New Jack, The Gift of Music, All Over the World, Five in Ten, Four in Twenty, Five in Twenty, The Grandmaster!, Spin Back King, Walk-in Wardrobe, The Vinyl Cut, DJ Shadow Presents…, Bonus Bangers, Here Comes the Hot Starter!
Expert Career:
If you are starting on Expert you’ll have to play through the game through the setlists, otherwise you’ll now want to be playing through the Quicklist. Expert difficulty is more or less the same as Hard difficulty except that almost all scratches will be directional, so if you’re having troubles try Hard. When you’ve got that down all you’ve got to do to complete the game is five star every song. This will take time and practice but you should get it eventually. Watch out for Groundhog, Rockit, and Beats and Pieces (all three are very high intensity) which will likely be the last three songs you five star on any difficulty. Once you’ve five starred Expert career you will have unlocked:
All of the achievements listed above if you started with Expert
Freestyle DJ, No Mistakes Allowed, Tap King, Fantastic Fader, Superstar DJ, Four Star,
Five Star, My 50 Pence, Tonight We DJ in Hell!, 200 Deep, Legendary Status, 360 Degrees, 720 Degrees, Turntable Perfection, Euphoria DJ, Euphoric Hoarder, The Choice is Yours.
Online:
The online achievements in this game are very easy. Host and complete a quicklist to unlock both Headliner and The New Style, join and complete three to unlock Supporting Act, win ten (10) sets (not songs) to unlock Win Online, and if you don’t have it already you’ll unlock Hello World for completing a song while connected to Live. If you're having trouble winning check out the achievement trading thread.
Extra equipment and wrap-up:
Two turntables: Complete a local game of DJ vs DJ to unlock Double Trouble
Turntable and guitar: Complete one of the songs that supports guitar play to unlock Guitar and DJ and The Power of Two.
Turntable and microphone: Complete a song with the microphone plugged in to unlock Shout Out.
Finally, if you don’t have it already play a song with the Ghetto Blaster Deck to unlock Master Blaster and watch the credits to unlock Props!
Conclusion:
You should now have all 50 achievements for 1000. If that’s the case give yourself a pat on the back and rest up for the sequel.
