Note
I cannot stress enough that you read this roadmap and especially it's Augmentation section. If you do not have a certain upgraded Augmentation, you maybe regretting it later on! EXP can be hard to find sometimes and Praxis kits aren't always available in a LIMB Clinic. So if you need a level 5 hack to get an E-Book but you only have level 3, you maybe in some deep water. So please read the list below.

Introduction
Welcome to Deus Ex: Human Revolutions. The game is based around Adam Jenson who's head of security at Sarif Industries. After the person you love is killed and you're left for dead, Sarif turn you into a super human being and applies Augmentations to your body.

Deus Ex: Human Revolutions is a nice change up of what you see nowadays in games and opens a lot of doors for you in the way of gameplay. Once in a situation, you can choose many routes to take and are not bound by one direct path. So feel free to take the stealth way around the enemies, or simply go in guns blazing, the choice is yours.

Achievementwise, Deus Ex has many different varieties. If you're going to try and get the full 1000 in one playthrough, you're going to have to take the stealth route and be patient! You should also watch out for many of the misc achievements plus the collectables.

Story
If you want to get the full 1000 in one playthrough, you'll need to head straight onto the Hard (Legend) difficulty. Then from here you'll want to play the game without killing one person or being caught. You can freely knock people out with passive takedowns (Tap ) or stun them with your tranquillizer or stun guns. To not get caught is a little trickier, but all you have to worry about is not letting the alert level reach 'Hostile'.

Missable
Once you have the above sorted out and grained into your brain, make sure you follow the guides below on all the side missions. In most of them there are two different ways you can end/take them. One being passive and the other a malice. So if you're trying for the 'Pacifist' achievement, save before you choices you have to make, do one then reload and continue with the other.

Carrying on from the missables are the endings. There are 4 possible endings to Deus Ex, and to get all 4 there will be some things you'll need to do. All are listed in the guide at the point you need to do them.

Collectables (Missable)
There's a total of 29 E-Books hidden throughout the game. There's actually way more than this, but only 29 actually count towards the achievement. When you pick up an E-Book and the XP bonus 'Scholar' pops up on the left side, this is one of the 29.

Be warned, that some are missable if a certain task is not preformed at certain points in the game. If you do not do these you'll never be able to get to the certain destinations where the E-Books lies. Again, I'll list these in the guide.

Saving
Seeing as some of the achievements require you to take one of two routes, this is where you have to use the save trick. When an achievement presents itself with multiple endings, make a physical save before either handing it in or making a choice. Make the first choice that breaks the 'Pacifist' achievement, then hand it in. You'll then want to reload the save and choose the none lethal option.

Some choices are not all bad or good, so it doesn't matter which one you finally decide to go ahead with. Just follow the guide below to make sure no mistakes are made. I'll also point out when you should make a save. I'll put this - *Save* - in the descriptions to let you know which achievements will require a physical save.

Augmentations
You're going to need certain Augmentations to unlock certain achievements and E-Books. Plus some will definitely help you bypass guarded areas with ease! So I recommend you buy these as soon as you can!

Cranium Augmentations

  • Social Enhancer: Needed for certain conversations that unlock achievements.
  • Hacking - Capture: You'll want to get this to level 5. You'll need it to hack certain safes or rooms to obtain E-Books and later achievements!

Torso Augmentations

  • Sarif Series 8 Energy Converter: Feel free to buy one or two more of these. Plus buy the 'Bass Recharge Rate' Augmentation.
  • Typhoon Explosive System: Buy both the 'Light/Heavy Damage Varient' Augmentations. These will help a lot with boss battles.

Eye Augmentations

  • Smart Vision: This is up to you but it may help and be worth purchasing the 'Wall-Penetrating Imager' when in a heavy guarded room.

Back Augmentations

  • Icarus Landing System: Must buy for one E-Book later in the game.

Skin Augmentations

  • Dermal Armour: Worth buying the 'Damage Reduction' Augmentations for the boss battles, but it's up to you.
  • Cloaking System: Buy all the 'Cloaking Longevity' Augmentations as soon as you can, or at least the first. This will help you 100x more for passing areas without getting spotted!

If you feel like purchasing anything else, feel free. Though the above are the musts and if you buy something else instead and come to a point where you need one of the above and you're yet to get it because you wanted to sprint for longer, you only have yourself to blame. Don't worry though, as once you have what you need, you'll be racking in the Praxis Points, so you can go all out!

Conclusion
Overall this game is a fun and challenging 1000 to obtain. It's not going to be one of the easiest rides and in some cases it may take it's time but it's part of the game. The rule is; Take your time! There's no rush, and there's plenty of sneak backdoor routes you can take to make this a lot smoother ride!

Missing Link DLC Road Map

Overview:
Estimated achievement difficulty: 4/10
Offline: 10 [250]
Online: 0 [0]
Approximate time: 5-10hrs
Minimum number of play-throughs needed: 1 (2 recommended)
Missable achievements: Yes
Does difficulty affect Achievements? No
Unobtainable/glitched achievements?: Unknown
Cost: 1200 Microsoft Points

Introduction:
During Adam's quest for the truth in Deus Ex: Human Revolution, he mysteriously vanishes for three days. Where was he? What did he find out? The Missing Link reveals it all. After being tortured by Belltower agents and having his augmentations disabled, Adam Jensen must rely solely on his basic capabilities to escape from a freighter, destined for an unknown location. While fighting for his survival on the ship, he uncovers another layer to the conspiracy that he never would have suspected.

Story:
I have listed the achievements in order, so spoilers won't be unnecessarily given out.

The achievements for this DLC can be all earned within one playthrough if you save correctly and follow strict instructions from this guide.

It would, however, be more fun to play the DLC the way you want to instead of being limited by achievements, but whatever floats your boat, you can get the achievements done and get the DLC out of the way, or you can enjoy the full 'The Missing Link' experience.

Misc:
The game only has two unmissable, story-related achievements. The other eight require you to go out of your way and do things you wouldn't normally do, which is interesting because it opens up more options within the DLC.

Collectables:
The only real form of collectables are the three data disks to get The Learn'd Scholar achievement. These aren't hard to find and should prove no hassle if you follow the guide.

Conclusion:
'The Missing Link' is a fantastic, lengthy and fun piece of content to add to your Deus Ex experience. Although the price tag of 1200 microsoft points may seem a little too much, it is well worth the price, and if you're holding out for a deal of the week, then you're really missing out.

The achievements aren't overly difficult if handled correctly, and the DLC will be well worth your time.

  • Deal with the man in the shadows.

    *Save*

After you've left the police station, you'll be contacted by Pritchard to go see Jenny Alexander. Head to the Grand River Road which is between the police station and your apartment the Chiron Building. Jenny is leaning against the wall dressed as a prostitute. She'll give you a few tasks and once you've completed them you'll need to meet Jack O'Malley.

Once you've spoken to him, you'll then be given another task to take out a gang. Just make sure you don't get spotted or kill anyone. Once everything has been done and you've proven that O'Malley is guilty to Jenny, you'll need to head to his apartment. Once you've arrived this is where you'll need to make your save.

Head over to O'Malley and start to talk to him. When given the choice, either choose to accept his bribe or take him in. Either choice does not matter here, so feel free to pick. Be warned, if you choose to take him in, he'll pull a gun out on you, so be ready with your stun gun or a takedown. Either way, once you've made a choice, head back to Jenny to complete the mission. Then reload your save and choose the other option.

  • Help Officer Nicholas take out the trash.

As you leave the convention centre after talking to Taggart, Nicholas will start talking to you as you pass by him. Talk to him and accept his side mission on finding a rogue bomb and it's owner Jacob White.

From here head to the sewers until you find out where Jacob and the bomb are situated. Knock Jacob out, then head over to the bomb which is near him. Instead of hacking it input the code '0000'. Doing so will unlock the 'Lucky Guess' achievement.

Now return to Nicky and hand in the mission to unlock the following achievement.

  • Follow Pritchard's lead to uncover the truth.

    *Save*

While in Detroit for the 2nd time, Pritchard will be in contact with you as you walk around and he'll inform you that you should go meet Brent Radford.

Head over to his apartment and head into the bedroom. Make sure you don't get caught by the guard and take him down. You'll now spot Brent dying on the floor in the bathroom. Strike a conversation with him and he'll ask you to find his medic pack. Agree and exit the bathroom. Look in the corner of the closet to your left as you exit and you'll see it on the floor.

Head back to Brent and administer a dose of morphine to him. Each time he asks for another does, apply some more. Once you have all the information you need, Brent will ask for one more dose to kill him. Don't worry this does not void the 'Pacifist' achievement, so go ahead and give him the last dose. Once he dies, the 'Kevorkian Complex' achievement will unlock.

After this carry on with the side mission. You'll now need to go to a lock up and find the last bit of evidence Brent informed you about. Make a save here then takedown the 3 guards outside without getting caught. Now read the 5 emails on the PC and look at the evidence in the safe. Now that you've searched the safe, do the follow up objective by seeing Michelle Walters and the achievement will unlock.

  • Read all 29 unique XP books within a single playthrough.

Important note: To unlock a few of the E-Books, you'll need to purchase certain Augmentations (as stated in the Roadmap) and complete some tasks throughout the story.

#1: When in Sarif Industries during the attack, there will be a room later on rigged with a bomb and some hostages tied up. When you get to this room make sure you defuse the bomb.
#1.2: From #1 and at the end of the level, make sure you convince Zeke Sanders not to kill the hostage. This way the guys wife you saved will let you into a room later on where an E-Book is located. Though this is achievement related, so you should be doing this.
#3: Make sure you upgrade you Hack Augmentation to level 5. Later on there are some E-Books behind level 5 locked doors and safes.
#4: Finally, make sure you purchase the Icarus Landing System in the Back Augmentations. You'll need this later on for another E-Book.

There's a total of 29 E-Books throughout the Deus Ex story. There's actually many many more, but only 29 are story related ones and are linked to this achievements. You'll know if you've collected one if on the left side you get the XP bonus 'Scholar'.

  • Deal with Mr. Carella's indiscretion.

    *Save*

This should the first side mission you gain for when you get outside onto the streets of Detroit. After you've spoken to David Sarif in his office, you'll need to head to your office where upon you'll meet Tim Carella. Quick note; Check your computer for a received email from Greg Thorpe.

This is a two part side mission. The save is for the two drug dealers Tims ex colleague Tindall needs you take out. Save before you deal with them just in case they go hostile. You can simply walk up to them, so try a stun gun + quick takedown combo on them.

  • Put a grieving mother's doubts to rest.

Please refer to 'Sentimental Value' for more information.

  • Protect a client's interests by performing a less-than-hostile takeover.

    *Save*

As you enter the Youhzai District in Shanghai, you'll be contacted by an old colleague. Head to the location they've given you and you'll meet Mengyoa. She'll give you a mission where you need to get some data back from a group of terrorists. Your task here will be to get the data chip back without killing anyone. This should be no problem as you should of been going through the whole game up to here using non-lethal takedowns, so don't break this habit now!

The area the gang is situated can be a bit tricky to take them out without getting caught, so take your time - also remember this area for the next achievement. Once you've received the data and returned to Mengyoa, make a save before you speak to her. To unlock the 'Ladies Man' achievement, you'll need to convince Mengyoa to tell you what's on the chip, and to do this you'll need the Social Enhancer Augmentation - CASIE. Now speak to her and choose the following options to unlock the 'Ladies Man' achievement:

    • Inquire [Not 'Give']
    •  for Pheromones
    • Charm

Once the chip is handed over, the achievement will unlock and then 'Corporate Warfare' will follow after you've finished speaking with her.

  • Descend into the bowels of an urban jungle and confront a warrior-priest.

    *Save*

Pritchard again will be in contact with you and will want you to go speak to one of the doctors at the Shanghai LIMB Clinic. Head inside and speak to the doctor to the left. The mission he gives you is to find an old friend of his who has he feels is making the wrong choices in life.

Now head back to the area where you dealt with the gang for the 'Corporate Warfare' achievement. Along the right hand side you should spot an sewer entrance. Take this down and head around to the left. Along this route you'll find the man the doctor wanted you to talk to - Zelezny.

Head over and talk to Zelezny and make your save. There's only one way to really do this achievement without ruining all your hard work and that is to agree with Zelezny so you avoid having to fight him and his men. Once you've spoken to Zelezny and agreed on his decisions, head back to the doctor and either convince or lie to him. Once the conversation has ended the achievement will unlock.

    Point of No Return
Make sure you've completed all the side quests and collected all the E-Books in Shanghai (2) as this is your last chance as you will not be returning here, so they won't be available again.

  • Fully upgrade one of your weapons.

During the game you'll come across some gun mods. These are things that will either increase a guns ammo capacity, recoil, add laser sights etc. Your task is to use as many of these as possible on one gun until it's fully upgraded. Some mods can't be used on certain weapons, so either sell them or use it on another one.

To view any weapons stats, open up your inventory and select the weapon you wish to look at with the . From here select 'Examine' and you can then see how mch further you need to go. You won't get this achievement until late in the game, but the easiest one to upgrade is the Tranquillizer Rifle.

  • Help the Hive Bartender settle a tab.

    *Possible Save*

After the 'Darker Shades' achievement, head back down to the ground floor bar and talk once again to the bartender, Bobby Bao. Accept his mission to find a female called Jaya to get his money he's owed. You'll be tasked with finding her hiding location via 3 hacking devices on some satellites. Once you have her location head to it and confront her.

There's now two choices you can make here and both will unlock the 'Bar Tab' achievement but only one will unlock the 'Guardian Angel' one. So we'll do the two birds with one stone option, but for this you'll need to have $5,000 on you. If you don't feel like losing out on all that cash make a save before you talk to Jaya.

To get the 'Bar Tab' and 'Guardian Angel' achievements both in one go, you'll need to confront Jaya and understand what her problem is. In other words, she's not going to pay back the debt she owe's Booby. So head back to him and offer to pay Jaya's debt for her as long as he leaves her alone afterwards. He agree's, so simply give him the cash and both achievements will unlock.

If you want to keep your $5,000, reload your last save after the above achievements, and don't agree with Jaya and do a none lethal takedown on her. Steal back the debt payment - which is an Augmentation - and return it to Bobby.

  • Help a lady in the oldest of professions clean house.

Please refer to 'The Fall' for more information.

  • It may take some sleuthing, but justice must be served.

    *Save x 2*

During your story progression, you'll be confronted by Malik in the Alice Pod Gardens. Accept her side mission and go to your objectives until you end up at Lee Hong's apartment. You'll now need to look out for and the interact with the following objects while you are inside:

    • Baseball Bat: Beside the front door
    • Broken Clock: On the cabinet inside the bedroom
    • Answering Machine: Next to the bed on the side table
    • Emails: On the computer in the bedroom

Once you have all the evidence, head to 'The Hive' and locate Lee who is upstairs. Before you talk to him, make a save. Choose the following options to unlock the 'Super Sleuth' achievement:

    • Falsified
    • Drunk
    • Antique Clock
    • Pregnant
    • LIMB/Belltower

Now Malik will be in contact and she wants you to do one last thing. Behind the bar upstairs is a hackable terminal. Head over to it, make a save, and hack it to unlock the 'Shanghai Justice' achievement. You'll need to be careful here, as there is a guard behind you that may spot you when you try to hack this. So with a safe save, knock him out and then hide the body around the corner. The people on the sofa beside you shouldn't move if you use the Traqiliser gun. During my playthrough he wasn't looking my way and I didn't get caught, so you may also get this.

You'll also want to take note, that this terminal is quick tricky and has a short countdown. So make sure you have some stop worms and nukes on hand!

    Point of No Return
Make sure you've completed all the side quests in Shanghai as this is your last chance. Even though you will return later, these certain one's will not be available again! Make sure you've also collected the E-Books, but you can still get this when you return later but it's always best to get as many as you can before you move on.

  • Successfully hack 50 devices within the same playthrough.

You should have no problem getting this. Hacking is one of the main things you'll be doing throughout your playthrough, so as long as you hack everything you see, even if it has a code you should have no problems unlocking this quick early on.

Remember to unlock higher hacking Augmentations to help you unlock those higher locks and also remember to save before you make a hacking attempt, so that if you fail you can simply reload your save.

  • Fully upgrade your first augmentation of choice.

    *Possible Save*

This is a lot easier than it sounds. A lot of the Augmentations take a few Praxis kits to get to its full potential. Though right at the start when you receive your first Praxis, look under the Cranium Augmentations>Radar System. This one here only takes one Praxis to fully upgrade it unlike the rest.

So to obtain this achievement in one go, make a save and then upgrade the Augmentation. Once the achievement unlocks, reload your save and use the Praxis on something more useful for now. Unless you want to actually upgrade the Radar, then feel free not to make a save.

  • Knock out 100 enemies in a single playthrough.

Again, remember that to knock your target out, you must only tap  and not hold it. You'll want to do pretty much the same thing as mentioned in the 'Oppurtunist' achievement above.

When you have a chance to take someone down, do so. It shouldn't take too long for you to obtain this achievement but it will come at least two 3rds of the way through. You're bound to miss a fair few enemies on your journey but don't fret as there are plenty about!

  • Perform your first Takedown. Civilians don't count, so be nice.

Please refer to 'Oppurtunist' for more information.

  • Perform 50 takedowns within the same playthrough. (Civilians don't count.)

Just remember if you're going for one playthrough, you must only use none lethal takedowns (tap ). Doing so will not void the 'Pacifist' achievement and will also increase the counter for the achievement 'Consciousness is Over-rated'.

Right from the first mission, you'll be introduced to how to take people out, so from here I'd recommend you try and get your 50 takedowns as and when you can. If you see an opportunity, then take it but don't rush. It's easier to do this achievement at the beginning of the game rather than later on when it could become more risky for you.

  • Perform your first Hack successfully.

Please refer to 'Hax0r1!' for more information.

  • Experience all the different endings that Deus Ex: Human Revolution has to offer.

    *Save*

There's a total of 4 endings in Dues Ex. To actually unlock some of them you'll have to read 3 important emails during the course of the game and speak to David Sarif + William Taggart on Panchaea. You should of done all 3 of these things as mentioned in the guide on their achievements and areas they relate to

When on the final level and given the task to broadcast one of the ending videos, make your save here. You should have a choice of 3 buttons to press. So press one, watch the video and then I suggest you watch the credits all the way through so you can net yourself the 'The D Project' achievement. Once you've done that, reload your save and repeat the process with the other two buttons (credits don't matter this time).

For the 4th ending, head through the open door to the left and at the end of the hall is the final ending. After you've watched the video, the achievement will unlock.

  • Complete Deus Ex: Human Revolution without anyone dying by your hand. (Boss fights don't count.)

This isn't as hard as it sounds but there are a few things you must keep in mind when going through the game! There's only a few things you need to remember to do when taking someone out, so always keep them in mine and make them a force of habit!

Remember to always take someone out by just tapping . If at any point you kill someone with your Augmentations by holding down  as a takedown, reload a last save. When someone has been knocked out, hover over their body and you'll notice the Z's in a little box. This means they're simply knocked out and not dead.

The second part to this is to NEVER use a gun unless it's the Tranquillizer or Stun guns. These, just like a passive takedown, will knock the enemy out and not kill them. If you use anything that involves bullets, then the target will die and void this achievement.

If by chance you do a passive takedown and and instead of the Z's symbol you get a skull and crossbones do not worry about this. It's a minor glitch within the game. If you know you pulled of a passive takedown, all will be ok.

  • Complete Deus Ex: Human Revolution without setting off any alarms.

This is the achievement where you'll need to make sure you don't make any mistakes when trying to avoid being caught. First off, I recommend you save often to save any heart ache. Save once you get to a new area, save when you get past a tricky spot even if you're still trying to pass it, save before hacking etc.

Next up you'll want some certain Augmentations to help make this a smoother ride. Most are listed in the Roadmap above, so please refer to that. The main one that will save you from getting spotted is the Skin Augmentation - Cloaking System. With this and some quick recharge you can bypass a whole area with getting spotted or worrying about movement timing.

Now onto the things you don't want to do:

    • Never make a guard, camera or turret turn Hostile. If this happens, reload a last save. Having anything Alerted or Suspicious is fine.
    • When hacking a turret, don't make it turn against anyone. This will count as kills and sound alarms.
    • When you knockout anyone, hide the bodies. The last thing you want is a guard or camera spotting them and setting off an alarm.
    • Save before you hack. If you mess it up, they will lock down and may set off an alarm.
    • Some areas in the game it'll automatically go into a Hostile state. This is is fine so don't worry. It normally happens after a cutscene and that you're in the surrounding area, so it's part of the story. But be warned, you'll actually start these bits without actually being seen, the AI just know you're about! Just get out of the area without actually being spotted and you should be good to go.
  • Upgrade your first weapon of choice.

Please refer to 'Gun Nut' for more information.

  • Complete Deus Ex: Human Revolution.

Please refer to the 'Legend' achievement.

  • Legend

    100

Complete Deus Ex: Human Revolution at its hardest setting without ever changing the difficulty.

When starting a new game, select the Legend difficulty. If you're planning on doing one playthrough, in theory this shouldn't be a problem as you'll be going for the 'Foxiest of the Hounds' achievement at the same time. This means you'll HAVE to take all the stealth and alternative routes so you don't get caught.

The Bosses will be the only thing that may cause you a bit of trouble, but if you've levelled yourself and your guns right, you should be ok. I recommend using the Typhoon ability as this can kill any boss in a matter of turns! Use the environment to your advantage plus your equipment.

Throwing gas/EMP grenades or even triggered mines are all helpful, so don't be shy to use them.

Secret achievements

  • Ghost

    15

You made it through an entire hostile area without so much as a squeak.

This can be done on the very first mission you do - Sarif Manufacturing Plant. You'll first want to takedown the guard that is around the corner ('First Takedown' achievement will unlock here). Once you've dealt with him, keep to the right and you'll see a forklift truck holding a box.

From here, pick the box up with  and move it in front of the other piled up boxes next to you on your left. Now jump up onto the containers and follow the path until you come to the electrified floor. Look to the right of it and move the small box to reveal a gap you can pass through.

Crouch and pass through it to the other side. On the mainframe opposite you, there's a switch, interact with it and the electricity will turn off. Now just carry on around the corner and over the roof top until you come to an air vent. Open it up, and again crouch and walk through. As you pass through this vent you'll be contacted by Pritchard and the achievement will unlock.

  • You kept Megan's bracelet for yourself. Apparently, letting go really is the hardest part.

    *Save*

For either one of these achievements you'll need to have at least a level 3 Hacking Augmentaion. If you don't have this, do some of the other side missions to gain some Praxis upgrades or buy some from the LIMB clinic. The next job is to refer to the achievement 'The Desk Job' below. This way you can get inside and around the area without anyone going hostile.

Either choice does not matter here, but being the good boy I am, I handed the bracelet over to her mother. You'll be confronted by Ms Reed upon exiting Sarif Industries for the first time. She'll then hand you a side mission to try and find the truth behind all the goings on. When you come to the lock up behind the police station, make sure you hack the safe

Once you've done the mission, return to Ms Reed and make your save here. Now all you need to do is decide on what choices you want to make and follow the dialogue. Either give her the bracelet to unlock the 'Motherly Ties' achievement then reload your save and keep it for this one. Just do the opposite if you want to hand it back as your final choice instead of keeping it.

  • Greedy bastard. You accepted O'Malley's blood money and let him go.

Please refer to 'Cloak & Daggers' for more information.

  • You paid poor Jaya's debt in full. How very... humane... of you.

Please refer to 'Bar Tab' for more information.

  • You watched the entire credit list and saw the surprise at the end.

As soon as the you have completed the game and one of the videos has played the credits will role. Simply let them play until they finish and the achievement will unlock.

  • Against all odds, you saved Faridah Malik's life.

    *Save*

While heading back to Shanghai, your helicopter will be shot down. As soon as you have control of Jenson, make your save. Now this achievement can be tricky, and for me there's only one way to go about it. Unless you're really lucky, and things play out well, getting caught is the best route to take. Yes I said getting caught...

Taking this into consideration and once you've unlock the achievement and reloaded your save, you will be leaving Malik to die. So by all means, feel free to attempt the passive and not being spotted route, but after 20+ goes it just wasn't happening for me (sad times).

Once you have control of Jenson after the crash, your task will be to clear the area of enemies before Malik dies. Head to the right side and jump on the container then onto the second floor of the construction building. Kill the guy in front of you then head forwards. From here, 2 more will run up the stairs at the end, so take them out. Now you're in a good position to kill everyone else.

I recommend you go for the heavy armoured guys first as they deal the brunt of the damage, then deal with all the light guards scattered about. When the mech robot get's dropped in, throw an EMP grenade and you should be done. Once Malik is saved, she'll fly away and the achievement will unlock.

Unless you're sure you did this without getting caught, reload your save and stealth past everyone to the lift at the back and unfortunately leave Malik to fend for herself.

  • Seems you like playing with balls, eh?

When you're finally let loose onto the streets Detroit look at your map. From where you start outside of the Sarif Industries, you'll want to head towards the apartment sections. Once there, simply follow the alleyways until you come to the end and the basketball court is on your right (next to the north most downtown apartments).

Grab the ball which is on the floor and head under over and underneath the net. Look up and back up a little so you're not directly underneath it. Now through the ball vertically up and if you're at the right spot and angle the ball will fall right back down through the net. This is the best way to do this, as trying the normal way with free throws will take a a fair few tries due to your throwing power.

Accept this task and head up to his apartment on the roofs. Before you open the door or take him out, save your game. Now open the door and when Chan is not looking knock him out.

From here, drag his body outside, and push it of the edge so it falls to the ground below. 'The Fall' achievement should now unlock. You don't actually need to plant the drugs to unlock this achievement, you can do the other option, but to be safe and not void the 'Pacifist' achievement, it's best to plant the drugs.

DLC: The Missing Link (Store Link)

There are 10 achievements with a total of 250 points

  • You survived The Missing Link using no Praxis kits, weapons, or explosives. Whoa.

A list of things you will want to take into account:

    • Do NOT use any praxis points to upgrade your augmentations.
    • Do NOT fire a weapon or use an explosive.
    • You CAN pick up a weapon or explosive.
    • Stealth and takedowns are key.

You will want to stealth your way through this DLC to get the achievement. Getting into gunfights isn't a good idea, because obviously, you can't use guns. You're limited to level 1 hacks ONLY, you can only takedown 1 enemy at a time, and you will have to wait the maximum amount of time for your energy to restore so you can use more takedowns.

This achievement may seem daunting, but if you approach it right, it isn't too bad.

  • You escaped Rifleman Bank Station. Nothing will stop you from finding Megan now.

You'll get this at the end of the DLC. Story related and cannot be missed.

Secret achievements

  • You replaced the power supply on a damaged stasis pod, saving the occupants life.

When you get to a large area with crates and ladders everywhere, you should have a blue side quest marker on screen. Follow it to discover a broken power supply on a stasis pod. Turn around and enter the storage room. Move the two crates that are in your way for a Reload Speed upgrade and a new power supply. Go back to the stasis pod and put the power supply in, and the achievement will unlock.

  • You revisited the site where Belltower discovered and captured you.

If you are doing a Factory Zero playthrough, make a save when you recover your armour. You will need to open the praxis stash next to your armour to receive 7 praxis kits, and then purchase the 'Icarus Landing System' and 'Cybernetic Leg Prosthesis' augmentations. The video will explain the rest.

  • You made it off the boat... but to what end?

This will come with natural progression in the DLC. Story related and cannot be missed.

  • When the proofs, the figures, were ranged in columns before me...

You need to find 3 data disks that can be placed on holotables when you encounter the female scientist in her lab. The locations of these are as follows:

    • In a detention cell on the right after you speak with Nina.
    • In room A4, Operations Security, Admin, next to the lasers. It is sitting on the desk next to the weapon stash and the guard sitting down.
    • On a desk in Dr. Kavanagh's lab, along with the three holotables.

  • You managed to save Dr. Kavanagh and all the prisoners, too.

After Burke attempts to kill Kavanagh and the prisoners with the gas, you will be given the option to save one or the other. If you are doing a Factory Zero playthrough, save now. Pick up a gun, or equip one if you already have one in your inventory. Take the Cybernetic Leg Prosthesis and Move/Lift Heavy Objects augmentations and find a large box covering a vent on the outside wall. Follow the path and it will lead to a generator with a small green tank on the front. Shoot the tank and you will save everyone and get the achievement, but to get Factory Zero you will need to reload your save and choose one or the other.

  • You gained access to Quinn's secret store.

After you get discovered by Burke and you come across the cutscene with Keitner, just after Burke stops the biometric scan you will be contacted by Quinn. Make your way to his store and go to the back, and pick up the two boxes that are in front of a red switch. Press this switch to reveal the armoury and get the achievement.

  • You performed a takedown on Burke without being detected.

To get this achievement, you need to perform a takedown on Burke without him going hostile. As soon as the cutscene with Burke ends, immediately take cover. Wait until the sniper on the left catwalk moves away, and then sneak past the mech until you reach a container with two ammo boxes in it. Turn around, and climb up on the metal support, then jump to the container. Turn right and jump down, and then immediately take cover. Sneak past the guard and the turret and go to the ladder, then wait until the heavy that is on the ceiling of the outpost that Burke is in turns away from you and climb up the next ladder. Perform a non-lethal takedown on the heavy (so you don't alert Burke and his guards) and then jump through the small hole below you. Burke will be staring out of the window, and you can just sneak up behind him and perform a takedown on him.

  • Apparently, your CASIE augmentation doesn't work on everyone...

When 'the hacker' calls you after you take care of Burke and his men, if you are doing a Factory Zero playthrough, make a save. If not, then don't bother. Use your praxis to upgrade your Social Enhancer, otherwise known as CASIE. Continue to the mission marker where you come face to face with the hacker and when you are talking, when you have the option to activate pheromones, select Appease. This won't work on him and you'll get the achievement. If you want to keep things spoiler free, don't watch the video, but it speaks a thousand words.
