|Complete Deus Ex: Human Revolution at its hardest setting without ever changing the difficulty.|
When starting a new game, select the Legend difficulty. If you're planning on doing one playthrough, in theory this shouldn't be a problem as you'll be going for the 'Foxiest of the Hounds' achievement at the same time. This means you'll HAVE to take all the stealth and alternative routes so you don't get caught.

Ok... I'm going for the Legend, Pacifist and Foxiest achievements on my first DX3 playthrough. Then I will most likely regret that about 3 hours in.

Ever? Even in another playthrough? What if you get this achievement and then change the difficulty afterwards? =P

Depending on how hard the highest difficulty is these could be some horrible achievements. Oh yeah and don't forget to find all the XP books and get the Doctorate achievement :)

Hopefully there will be a new game+ feature. Either way, I dont always mind these since they allow/force me to replay through my games, getting more out of them.

@6 There is no new game plus. The devs wanted players to try and play
the game in a new way on their second playthough so they decided to leave
out a new game plus option.

It's funny how the achievement icon is only different by having his sunglasses on :D

This achievement is only difficult in the bosses, so here are some tips :
Barrett : During the ending section of Detroit Pt.1 you infiltrate the D-row
Ballers. In one point, there are 3 fragmentation mines. Disarm them, pick them
up. Barrett is at the end of the FEMA facility after that mission, be sure to
have one gas grenade (stuns him) and then throw him the frag mines. Goes down
Girl boss : At the end of Shanghai Pt.1, you get to Picus Communications (TV
Station), make sure you have the LEGS augmenation (jumping) before finishing it

During the fight, dodge the first Typhoon attack, she will withdraw. Shoot the
energy dischargers (there are 4 on the walls of the room you are in, they
will change to red once they're close to exploding). I haven't confirmed this,
but if you can blow up all 4 and survive (painkillers/stimpaks or jumping to
the ledges) that'll take care of her. Just to be safe, stock up on EMP and frag
3rd boss : During Shanghai Pt.2, you'll get a prompt to go to a LIMB clinic and
upgrade your biochip to deal with the glitches. DON'T !

If you upgrade the chip, during the fight you'll have all your powers & HUD
locked down making this a BITCH of a fight on DX difficulty. If you don't
upgrade, you play as normal. Again this is easy : one gas grenade to stun him,
then unload mines/frag grenades. 3-4 will do the trick again.
Final boss : As you start, dodge to the right and input code 2012 in the panel.
That will disable the turrets and move the boss to phase 2. 3/4 areas will turn
red and you'll get extra crispy if you stand there. Leg augmentation helps here.
The fight ends once you survive for about 5 minutes.

Not sure if you have to take out the robots coming (the crazies should get
knocked out by the lightning on the floor), but since this is the end, use
your remaining explosives/EMP (remember, EMP one-shots droids) and take them
That's all there is to DX difficulty really, if you play stealth like I did. If
not, invest in the armor augmentation and pray your aim serves you well !

with regards to #14 there are areas in between each quarter that if you have the super jump augmentation, you can sit on these an let the time pass as they never get electrified, only know this cos its how i defeated the final boss with low health and energy levels

if you upgrade your dermal armor and get the one aug that prevents you from getting electrified helps on the final boss as well

When you start the game on the Hardest difficulty, objective locaters and object highlights are turned off. If you turn these back on, but dont change the difficulty, do you not get the achievement?

No, youll still get the achievement if you change those options, I think they're off by default on all difficulties.

I've finished Singapore on hard at this moment, on the second run, got pacifist and no alarm achievement on first run, so I don't really care about 100% stealth on this one.
But things I found out between hard and normal.
1) Recharge is much slower 2) Spooked enemy (on alarmed or suspicious) has shorter reaction time 3) Player has more chance to be headshoted 4) dialogue option changed
But good news:
1) As long as being stealth, it is still easy 2) enemy does not change their patrolling pattern 3) items stay the same 4)optic-camo still works 100%
I pre-order the game, so I got grenade launcher and other stuff, makes boss fight much easier. Prefer exploding round revolver and target-seeking AR, and EMP mines for final boss.

I don't think this game would have benefited from a New Game+ option. Having all
augs unlocked would spoil most of the fun, for me anyway. I like keeping a couple
of praxis points available and adjusting my skills on the fly. That's
what made the game so awesome IMO.
Doing my second playthrough atm trying to pick up any achievment i missed the
first time as well as doing DX difficulty. The bosses are still fairly simple if
you don't mind using "cheap" strategies. EMP/Gas Grenades and explosives makes
every boss (save the last one) a cakewalk.

Or you could just use the laser gun to defeat the last boss, as it shoots
straight through walls. Just run over, fire and end.

well played it on hardest settings and amazingly it wasnt much of a challenge except a few boss fights. Went guns blazing most the way had fun going stealth also. Will play again to go full stealth on another setting to finish up other achievements i missed. Best to play on hardest first.

The last boss fight is the easiest one, even on hardest difficulty. All i did was make sure i had the electric immunity, forget the mechs and cloak using a tub of cyber boost run straight to the control panel, type in 2012 then run to the top left corner, hide behind a pillar and wait for everything to chill out then run up 2 her,1-2 shotgun blasts and bingo.job done.Hope this helps.

Finally got this(on my third playthrough), and can now FINALLY play something else. Loved the game though. I still knocked everyone out(for the xp), and then killed them(for the gratification, since I spent 2 playthroughs not killing).
It was a lot of fun, and a lot easier than I thought it would be. But that was entirely because I had learned how to play the game from the previous 2 plays. Stealth is by far your best option, as the guards can gut you in a split second, even with 200 hp.

What is the name of the Hardest difficulty, is it unlocked at the beginning or do you have to unlock it by beating the game once

Last level now, the bosses seemed easier this time around, maybe becasue I know what to expect and was ready and armed, the last boss was easy as soon as fight started I used the Grenade Launcher and the reload is fast.
I did notice that 2 vents were missing, I wanted to go one way as I did before in the last 2 playthroughs and this time it was gone.

I've done two play throughs now; one on give me deus ex and one on tell me a story, and I really didn't notice that much of a difference in the two. Probably b/c I was being a pacifist and going for foxiest at the same time.
