![]() | Comment #5 by Decommissioner Saturday, September 10, 2011 @ 08:30:23 PM Ok, I had notifications turned off because I didn't want signing-on friends to interfere with my playing, so I didn't see exactly when I got this achievement. However, it was after getting "Unforeseen Consequence" and before the alley where you can get "Balls". I didn't actually upgrade any weapon and, in fact, hadn't used any of the lethal weapons (since I'm going for "Pacifist" on my first play through. Hopefully somebody else can provide more information regarding this. |
![]() | Comment #6 by Decommissioner Saturday, September 10, 2011 @ 09:45:40 PM ^ A few more things I remembered, to try and help: 1. I have the Tactical Enhancement Pack, so I had been carrying around the double-barreled shotgun and the sniper rifle. Neither of these weapons is upgradable. 2. At some point, I pulled out the shotgun and fired two shots at a wall (to see how it fired) and then dropped it from my inventory. 2. I 'examined' (inventory menu option) the sniper rifle. 3. I 'combined' (inventory menu option) the sniper rifle with some ammo. If I had to put guess, I would say that one of these actions triggered the achievement. |
![]() | Comment #7 by Naberios Tuesday, September 13, 2011 @ 03:02:51 AM @6 How is this helping? At all? And by the way, both the Silenced Sniper Rifle and the Double Barrel Shotgun ARE upgradable. I didn't find the shotty very useful, but it's main advantage is that it only takes up like half the space as the normal shotty. "Upgrades" come in special boxes. Things like silencer & laser sight come in a box that takes up 2 slots. Things like ammo capacity & damage increase take 4 slots. And then there are weapon specific upgrades like the target-leading system & explosive rounds that take up 6 inventory slots. Once combined with you selected weapon, they no longer take up inventory space. |
![]() | Comment #8 by Naberios Tuesday, September 13, 2011 @ 03:04:50 AM @4 Unfortunately not. I completely agree with the thought that at least one weapon specific "range increase" upgrade for the stun gun. |

![]() | Comment #13 by Naberios Sunday, September 25, 2011 @ 04:17:51 AM @12 Whatever floats your boat, but SMG and Combat Rifle ammo is actually more available as you progress through the game. If you included what was in the clips, I had over 300 rounds of SMG ammo and over 200 rounds of the Combat Rifle ammo on me at all times for most of the game. |
![]() | Comment #14 by Reick17 Sunday, January 22, 2012 @ 09:58:04 PM I got this after attaching the Armor Pierce mod from my apartment to the 10mm pistol. I wasn't sure of the difference between this and Gun Nut, but apparently one pistol mod is all this requires. |
![]() | Comment #15 by XxSUPERchipzMANxX13 Monday, April 02, 2012 @ 11:21:46 PM BING!! Achievement popped up as soon as i applied an ammo capacity mod on my 10mm pistol :) |
