![]() | Comment #2 by OMGmyFACE Thursday, August 25, 2011 @ 12:10:23 AM This achievement is crazy easy. During the first mission alone, you can hack like 10 computers in the office area not even counting the locked doors. I think I've hacked 30 devices in the past few hours. |

![]() | Comment #7 by Waylander221987 Thursday, September 01, 2011 @ 04:31:09 PM Now the question I have is as it says through a same play through does that mean if you have to load a saved game cos you died does it reset cos if so that will explain why I haven't yet got this god damn achievement |
![]() | Comment #8 by Jasarno Thursday, September 01, 2011 @ 07:24:45 PM It means as in one Jensen character; therefore a total of 50 hacks (without codes) must be performed through an entire career. However, it should not be overly difficult as there are at least 10 in the augment tutorial mission, 10 in Sarrif industries and around 40 in Piccus News headquarters. So if you want this achievement, hack whatever you see and if should unlock easily during the second half of the game. |
![]() | Comment #9 by Jenrai Saturday, September 03, 2011 @ 06:50:16 AM Really simple. Up your capture rating a couple of times and your hacking stealth (if you're bothered about being caught - IE going for the Foxiest of Hounds in this playthrough) and hack everything you see. Go straight for the unlock. The data store rewards are not worth your time. |

![]() | Comment #11 by Naberios Monday, September 12, 2011 @ 11:30:59 PM I don't see it listed, so I'm gonna throw this out there. From what I've seen, if you press B and then X to exit the hack(if you're getting ready to fail) or if you just press Y to disconnect, you lose and "attempt" at hacking that particular item. And, more importantly, if you are on your final attempt, it sets the alarm off. Here's the thing, if you press B and then press Y instead of X, it will exit you out of the hack and it will NOT take away an attempt, nor will it set off an alarm if it was your last attempt(since it doesn't take an attempt away, the item being hacked doesn't reach "0" attempts remaining, my guess anyway)..... I hope this makes sense, and is helpful for anyone frustrated with hacking. I'm not, I like it.... |
![]() | Comment #12 by taylorl72 Wednesday, September 21, 2011 @ 08:44:37 PM @11, I heard the same thing. But to be honest if you are hack on a level three or below it really isnt that hard. It makes it easier if you zoom out the whole time and dont just sit and wait to capture, you should aways be going to another one. Also, dont be afraid to you the special disks, if you keep going for the data storage nodes you keep getting more stop/nukes. |
![]() | Comment #13 by Naberios Sunday, September 25, 2011 @ 04:10:16 AM @12 A lot of alarms go off, even on the 15% ones. So why waste an attempt if you don't have to? It's especially useful on the higher difficulties, where you get less attempts and are much more likely to set off alarms. But it is true, if you search around at all, and if you go for the nodes(which you should always do), you'll have plenty of Nukes and Stops to make it through. I'm just a hoarder when it comes to them, I had over 120 of each at the end of my last playthrough.... |
