![]() | Comment #8 by Chozo_Lord Friday, December 21, 2012 @ 03:35:25 AM Let's hope this is more like Dead Space 1 where you can actually save as much as you want, instead of only 3 times. |
![]() | Comment #9 by Play Up Pomp3y Friday, December 21, 2012 @ 03:47:00 AM Damn. That'll be 2 outta 3 dead space games I won't be getting 1000g on then. One for the "hardcore" fans......... |
![]() | Comment #10 by MassiveKneeGrow Friday, December 21, 2012 @ 03:51:21 AM Like #8 said that would be great , but I actully liked the Hardcore mode in Dead Space 2. Because when you finished Dead Space 2 on hardcore it was foem finger time BANG BANG PEW PEW! :) |
![]() | Comment #11 by Ant Montana Friday, December 21, 2012 @ 06:12:01 AM To be fair, I did this on DS2 first time, but I was still hoping that they wouldn't include it again. |
![]() | Comment #12 by Caramel Cardinal Friday, December 21, 2012 @ 07:50:07 AM song as there's an infinite powernode/money glitch early on in the game this shouldn't be too bad, if there isn't then at least we actually have an achievement that makes us feel like we've achieved something few else have |
![]() | Comment #13 by rockhopper Friday, December 21, 2012 @ 09:38:17 AM Damnit, not again! The first one was intense but I got full gamerscore in first 2 so I will have to do it for this one. Also won't this be easier since it doesn't say you can't do it in co-op? Co-op it will be done in then. |
![]() | Comment #14 by Hurricane Of 87 Friday, December 21, 2012 @ 10:32:21 AM YES, AGAIN, AGAIN, AGAIN. Looking forward to see what these other 'difficulties' are like too (Classic, Pure Survival). |
![]() | Comment #15 by atomic viking54 Friday, December 21, 2012 @ 12:40:18 PM my god |
![]() | Comment #16 by Belvik Friday, December 21, 2012 @ 03:52:34 PM The hardcore achievement on DS2 wasn't too bad, especially if you could get past disc 1 and could use the disc switch point as a checkpoint for yourself. I think a 4 or 5 save limit would be better than 3 though. |
![]() | Comment #17 by chrishaney23 Friday, December 21, 2012 @ 10:54:51 PM If you didnt think this was gonna be in DS3 then you're a moron. I hated this in DS2. woosah, woosah! |
![]() | Comment #18 by rockhopper Saturday, December 22, 2012 @ 12:45:41 AM Oh I knew it would be back, was just dreading it since the first time I practically hyperventilated at certain points hoping I wouldn't mess up. Usually those instant death sequences. Hardcore mode will be a staple achievement in every Dead Space game to come. But now I'm curious as to what the other new difficulties are, i.e. classic & pure survival. |
![]() | Comment #19 by xtrafly Saturday, December 22, 2012 @ 08:58:38 PM That reminds me I must pick up dead space 2 to get this achievement. |
![]() | Comment #20 by LushisBobby Saturday, December 22, 2012 @ 09:09:13 PM I think what they mean by "Aren't You Thankful?" is that are you thankful that Hardcore is not going to be the same as from Ds2 Because if hardcore was the same in dead space 3 the word hardcore in the achievement description would have a space in between hardcore because thats how dead space 2 hardcore description was like. |
![]() | Comment #21 by Darkforce412 Sunday, December 23, 2012 @ 11:51:20 AM the only cheevo that kept me from getting 100% on DS2. |
![]() | Comment #22 by CxHxUxD Wednesday, December 26, 2012 @ 10:02:15 AM #9 it's not as bad as you think it is! Like #7 said, be patient and careful! Node those weapons up ASAP! I just finished Dead Space 2 on Hardcore and it was a blast. I was so scared!! |
![]() | Comment #23 by freaks Tuesday, January 01, 2013 @ 10:07:43 AM I'LL DEFO HIT THE 1000G ONCE AGAIN! |
![]() | Comment #24 by davidsports429 Tuesday, January 01, 2013 @ 06:49:18 PM I used the zealot force gun and plasmacutter in ds2 hardcore? |
![]() | Comment #25 by rbcube1010 Wednesday, January 02, 2013 @ 05:52:08 PM Well, this will be fun... |
![]() | Comment #26 by Ink129 Saturday, January 05, 2013 @ 11:38:54 AM #24 Well, only you would know, dude. Lol ;) I loved going through DS2 on Hardcore, so I'm actually looking forward to doing this again in some masochistic way. Bring it on! :D |
![]() | Comment #27 by Suthef Saturday, January 05, 2013 @ 12:53:08 PM Pain in the ass but its gonna be so fun ! |
![]() | Comment #28 by TechStorm2012 Sunday, January 06, 2013 @ 08:15:22 PM Awesome. Dead space is in my top five if not number one fave franchises and my hardcore playthrough (although stressful) was even more fun, scary, and ten times more satisfying than my first. For anyone putting it off, i did too, just play through again on zealot first to get familiar again and itll be not nearly as painful as you think. Im really glad they are putting it in here again, it made it scary again. |
![]() | Comment #29 by Nevander Wednesday, January 09, 2013 @ 10:58:28 PM I really want to know what they mean by being thankful. All the responses here are just guesses and assumptions! Hell I'd take four saves instead of three. I'd be thankful for that. |
![]() | Comment #30 by Zacry072 Wednesday, January 16, 2013 @ 10:08:50 AM @29 My best assumption is that this achievement is named "Aren't You Thankful?" to ask if the player is thankful that they finally got through this painful difficulty. The last sequence of the game may even be especially harrowing. That's just my guess :P. |
![]() | Comment #31 by MisterLeoman Saturday, January 19, 2013 @ 01:36:37 PM Well, let's hope that it's not going to be as hard as DS 2 Hardcore was-i wasn't even able to complete the second chapter back in DS 2 |
![]() | Comment #32 by Puddlejuggler Monday, January 21, 2013 @ 05:09:17 AM DS2 was and is in it's prime on hardcore mode. You begin to understand what a badass Isaac truly is! Also, the 50% recharge time on stasis gained from the advanced suit, made the last chapters for me :D fucking super leapers and exploders. And spitters.... Oh what the hell, fucking necromorphs Gonna look forward to hardcore in DS3! The struggle for survival continues! |
![]() | Comment #33 by SonikkuHedgehog Monday, January 21, 2013 @ 08:21:11 AM I wonder if Co-op is still enabled. |
![]() | Comment #34 by Lord Atheos Tuesday, January 22, 2013 @ 06:20:45 PM YES! I love this! |
![]() | Comment #35 by rockhopper Tuesday, January 22, 2013 @ 11:29:31 PM Yes I wonder if you can play hardcore in co-op. But if you can, if just one of you dies you'll be starting over from your last save. You better make sure you have a reliable co-op partner! Also, I can't wait to see what reward you get this time. Surely it would be something different than the foam finger? Then I hope to use the reward for classic and pure survival modes. |
![]() | Comment #36 by Deadly Krueger Wednesday, January 23, 2013 @ 04:46:13 PM @35 I kinda hope you can do this in co-op honestly. I gotta finish the last 2 chapters on Dead Space 2 but just can't. I can't bring myself to do it lol. |
![]() | Comment #37 by EchelonDelta Wednesday, January 23, 2013 @ 10:51:09 PM Does anyone else think that the difficulty and sense of accomplishment for this achievement will not be as great considering you can BUY resources with MS points, so buy the time you get to the first bench you can presumably have a fully upgraded plasma cutter. I dont plan on doing this myself, but it kind of cheapens the experince knowing its possible. |
![]() | Comment #38 by rockhopper Thursday, January 24, 2013 @ 12:22:01 AM @37 - I don't think the accomplishment would be cheapened. I mean even if you want to spend real money to buy upgraded weapons (which is lame & stupid imo), I would still expect there to be plenty of instant death sequences & situations that throw lots of enemies at you & you would still need to focus. Instant death sequences are really the worst for me. Lots of tension. Also I just read elsewhere that there won't be save stations any more and hardcore would play differently this time. What the hell? Saves are done by auto-checkpoints. |
![]() | Comment #39 by rockhopper Thursday, January 24, 2013 @ 12:51:37 AM Found this information in the main forum by Blizzje, via NEOgaf: Hardcore Mode: Game autosaves normally like the rest of the modes, but now has perma-death. You can stop playing and pick it back up whenever you wish, but as soon as you die it's back to Chapter 1. It was also posted that you will be able to copy your save to a USB drive as a backup and use that if you die. So with regard to the achievement title, I know what I'm thankful for. My USB drive! |
![]() | Comment #40 by Atomic Beam Saturday, January 26, 2013 @ 10:08:35 AM linkk to that please |
![]() | Comment #41 by rockhopper Saturday, January 26, 2013 @ 09:24:19 PM @40 - link to hardcore mode details, 2nd paragraph from bottom. http://www.playstationlifestyle.net/2013/01/22/dead-space-3-hands-on-preview-ps3/ link to confirmation you will be able to back up a save. Post #796 from a person named Codecow. Codecow makes posts in that thread. He is a developer of the game and works for Visceral Games. http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=505597&page=16 After someone asks if you can just back up a save, Codecow's response, "Sadly this will be possible, on the other hand if we had prevented it we would have had to require a network connection, not a good idea for a mode we intend for people to be able to play in single player." |
![]() | Comment #42 by TechStorm2012 Sunday, January 27, 2013 @ 12:58:00 AM Should be: Arent you thankful you can cheat this one? you'll never know now who got this achievement legitimately and chances are very few people will. They gave everyone what they were asking for and were complaining about regarding hard core in DS2 which was "nobody had 4 hour chunks to be able to play each sitting" which was all BS. Well now in this mode you can save, quit, and resume at any time but when you die its back to the beginning. So its more convenient but harder in some ways this time around which should be perfect for even the crybabies. The problem is now since everyone acts like they are entitled to every achievement without earning it EVERYONE is going to cheat it by backing up their save thereby making the hardest achievement in the game meaningless. I guess the |
![]() | Comment #43 by rockhopper Sunday, January 27, 2013 @ 01:18:53 AM Well blame the co-op for this change to hardcore. If there was no co-op, they would use the traditional save stations, then I'm sure you would get just the 3 saves like before. I admit it's pretty lame to back up the save, but I can't deny that I won't abuse the hell out of it if they design it that way. This game is said to be around 20 hours long. The longest of the series. My heart wouldn't be able to handle the tension if I got to the end of the game and then died on an instant death sequence, then had to start all over again. BTW, anyone that doesn't know, beating hardcore mode this time unlocks a secret crazy game mode that will allow for lots of replayability. The article edited out the title of the mode, but it was 10 letters long. |
![]() | Comment #44 by uratitmouse Sunday, January 27, 2013 @ 07:47:33 AM I tryed on the first one and ended up hating the series for a while. I didnt even bother with hardcore on the second one so I hate that its back again If you could new game + for hardcore it wouldnt be as bad so heres hoping |
![]() | Comment #45 by LostSoul 301281 Sunday, January 27, 2013 @ 12:01:35 PM Hardcore mode on DS2 wasn't all that bad really. And it felt like a real accomplishment when I finally beat it. Bring it on, I say! |
![]() | Comment #46 by nopantsx Monday, January 28, 2013 @ 05:50:42 PM Ok!! Bring it! :-) |
![]() | Comment #47 by BongJam007 Tuesday, January 29, 2013 @ 11:03:18 AM I can't believe the horror stories in this thread! If you play through the game a couple times, memorize what's going to happen, THEN play hardcore mode and you should be fine. If there are only 3 saves again, then have a plan on the 3 points you are going to save before you start in hardcore. For instance right before a tough boss or a flying scene where you could easily splatter yourself against debri. Using that tactic I saved myself hours of frustration. Looking forward to the challenge!! |
![]() | Comment #48 by DarkOcelet Tuesday, January 29, 2013 @ 01:32:26 PM OK folks for those who didn't read the preview from playstationlifestyle.net , here is what i read , apparently you have unlimited saves yay!!!! right . OK , here is the bad news , you can save right but if you die! you start from the beginning of the game , meaning you can save anywhere and close the game and get back to it but if you die at anytime , you start from the beginning , and i thought three saves were a pain! but still bring it on if i did it on DS2 then i will sure do it here |
![]() | Comment #49 by PledgedZebra4 Tuesday, January 29, 2013 @ 03:10:39 PM So, the game is apparently 20 hours long. 19 1/2 hours in the final boss kills me and it's back to the start? That's even more bullshit than the 2nd game. Respect to anyone who does this legit but I'm not at all ashamed to admit that I'll be backing up my save at least a couple of times. Questions: Can you revive in co-op like in Gears of War? If you die where does that leave your co-op partner? What if your co-op partner plays with someone else and gets ahead of you? I really don't know how this will work in co-op. |
![]() | Comment #50 by DellBoy1 Tuesday, January 29, 2013 @ 03:29:51 PM I'm playing this now and it doesn't seem as bad as DS2, the options I have in New Game are Casual, Normal, Hard, Impossible. And in New Game+ Classic, Pure Survival and Hardcore hehe. The Kinect Voice Controls are doing my head in the the sound from the TV is making the Kinect give commands so I turned it off lol |
![]() | Comment #51 by RedstoneFanatic Wednesday, January 30, 2013 @ 06:52:48 AM I'm guessing you unlock impossible by completing Hardcore? I'm assuming that 50G secret achievement is for completing impossible... |
![]() | Comment #52 by David ov ince Wednesday, January 30, 2013 @ 08:45:42 AM If this can be done in co-op im thinking it will be a walk in the park |
![]() | Comment #53 by rockhopper Wednesday, January 30, 2013 @ 02:27:30 PM @51 - Whether you unlock Impossible mode by beating hardcore or not remains to be seen. But there is no achievement for it. The 50G secret one you are referring to? is for beating the final boss/end game. @52 - Co-op may be easier due to the fact you can revive one another, however there are enemies that can instantly kill you and kill you while you are downed if your partner can't revive you in time. Also you have the threat of instant death sequences that no matter what equals game over. Also if just one of you dies, it's game over. So in that regard, I think it would be a detriment to play in co-op. I wouldn't want that pressure on me knowing that if I screw it up for my partner after 15 hrs, we'd start over. |
![]() | Comment #54 by NeoSant Wednesday, January 30, 2013 @ 04:40:37 PM You have only one life for the entire campaign on this mode. This type of chievos take away all the fun... |
![]() | Comment #55 by davidmitford Saturday, February 02, 2013 @ 12:50:03 AM I think it makes it way more intense |
![]() | Comment #56 by rockhopper Saturday, February 02, 2013 @ 12:51:54 AM Well I have the game in my possession and beating hardcore unlocks a new mode called Retro mode. Which is 8-bit retro. |
![]() | Comment #57 by davidmitford Saturday, February 02, 2013 @ 02:34:31 AM I'm hoping you get something like the finger bang for beating the game on hardcore that gun was fun |
![]() | Comment #58 by conspliferation Saturday, February 02, 2013 @ 07:41:34 PM bad news guys. Just read somewhere that you can't even die at all in this hardcore. Going to be worse than before :( |
![]() | Comment #59 by freaks Tuesday, February 05, 2013 @ 05:22:56 PM a few guys finished it ALREADY and apparently they said it's "easier than DS2" maybe because of so much ammo and hp packs? |
![]() | Comment #60 by Mayh3m Tuesday, February 05, 2013 @ 06:39:37 PM ••••spoliers•••••• Beating the game on Hardcore unlocks "8 bit mode." They counted the spaces as letters :) I cant WAIT to see what thats like.... |
![]() | Comment #61 by Maverick2474 Wednesday, February 06, 2013 @ 11:20:09 AM I don't have any friends interested in this game. So if anyone needs a Co-Op partner send me an invite with a message. 25-M on the East Coast. |
![]() | Comment #62 by RedstoneFanatic Thursday, February 07, 2013 @ 02:29:04 AM I think it's easier than DS2. In DS2, it's all about one money resource and one upgrade resource... credits and nodes. In this game, resources in general can be put towards ammo, health, weapons, your RIG, and weapon upgrades... which makes for a LOT of resources. |
![]() | Comment #63 by pvkapaulius Thursday, February 07, 2013 @ 02:39:46 AM so how mutch time you can save game? |
![]() | Comment #64 by Sinac670 Thursday, February 07, 2013 @ 11:55:35 AM @63 From Dead Space 3's description of hardcore I take it that you can save and continue, so you don't have to do one long play-through, but if you die at all it will reset you from the very beginning. |
![]() | Comment #65 by stinky whisper Friday, February 08, 2013 @ 01:32:47 PM Yes exactly you have unlimited checkpoints but if you die at any time back to the beginning you go! Idk about co op but ill be doing this solo personally. Also, someone mentioned the plasma cutter fully upgraded but it seems underpowered in this game. Plasma cutter is no longer the go to weapon anymore for me. |
![]() | Comment #66 by Enter chandman Friday, February 08, 2013 @ 03:37:29 PM I seriously got to the platform where you actually fight the boss and the platform failed to load and I just died... Times like this are where I'm glad I saved twice. Once on my HDD and another on a flash! Or else I'd be getting a new TV and controller. |
![]() | Comment #67 by Medickep Friday, February 08, 2013 @ 08:52:24 PM So just be even clearer, if you due you return to the last save? I don't follow the unlimited check points, but if you die you start all over!! Some guys are copying they're progress to a second location. How do you do this, if you start over when you select "save and quit" |
![]() | Comment #68 by Lord Atheos Saturday, February 09, 2013 @ 12:50:50 AM I will be one of the few people doing this properly... |
![]() | Comment #69 by Neme6ben Saturday, February 09, 2013 @ 09:40:41 PM I'm just wondering what the difficulty level is when you play hardcore, on classic and pure survival mode it's on hard, but I didn't read anything on hardcore about this! |
![]() | Comment #70 by bblue2344 Sunday, February 10, 2013 @ 06:41:19 AM YES i am sooo thankful for another masochistic game mode lol. This is the closest thing to actually being jumped by necros and re-generators. @69 In DS2 hard core was not the hardest difficulty but the second most difficult (i forgot the name), however scarcity of resources was the same as in the most difficult setting. This wasnt stated in the game anywhere it was just what the majority of people, including myself, have gathered. I assume ds3 will be similar. |
![]() | Comment #71 by Old Books Sunday, February 10, 2013 @ 11:42:56 AM @69 I believe it states in game that Hardcore is set to Hard difficulty. As are pure survival and classic. So at least it's not on Impossible. |
![]() | Comment #72 by where2next Monday, February 11, 2013 @ 04:06:24 AM Does anyone know if Devil Horns can be used in Hardcore? |
![]() | Comment #73 by armyranger0126 Monday, February 11, 2013 @ 01:17:57 PM Do the same thing as MOH, save every so often and make a copy onto a USB drive. If you die then go back to dashboard and transfer the copy to your hard drive. It maybe cheap but it'll save you from having to start completely over especially if you are just going for achievements. |
![]() | Comment #74 by vRunner88 Monday, February 11, 2013 @ 08:24:58 PM Thanks Ranger, thats what I'll be doing to get this achievement. I'm glad they made it like this instead of 3 saves all game. |
![]() | Comment #75 by freaks Monday, February 11, 2013 @ 08:34:15 PM it's not all that hard... i can take breaks and my time with it, and there are lots of ressources in there aswell... i'm doing it in coop and it's alright, not as hard as DS2 so far.. |
![]() | Comment #76 by darkmikasonfire Monday, February 11, 2013 @ 09:23:57 PM @72, they can be, as will any dlc or preorder bonus you bought. |
![]() | Comment #77 by Finnish Krogan Wednesday, February 13, 2013 @ 01:27:32 PM Has anyone tried backing there save up on a usb and unpluging it from the xbox? |
![]() | Comment #78 by Nighthawk c4 v2 Thursday, February 14, 2013 @ 12:24:41 PM Not feeling very thankful. DS2 harcore was better, I'd rather getr 3 saves than checkpoints |
![]() | Comment #79 by SpidaRockBeats Thursday, February 14, 2013 @ 04:16:15 PM use this trick when playing hardcore mode so you dont have to worry about dying and starting all over hears a youtube video guide http://youtu.be/ec4SRaetCXc it display ps3 but same thing |
![]() | Comment #80 by freaks Friday, February 15, 2013 @ 07:23:40 PM DONE!!!!! well that was great! i've done it without the USB key, and i REALLY didn't die once :) that's really cool!! just know where the hard parts are!!! And it makes it all spicier without the glitches guys; really try it, i recommand it :) Know your way and beat it! |
![]() | Comment #81 by DeadlyPlace Saturday, February 16, 2013 @ 12:00:54 AM died on chapter 19 just as you fly to the moon..........should probably flip some shit but no i'll just start....all over...again ;_; |
![]() | Comment #82 by fritobandito858 Sunday, February 17, 2013 @ 12:16:16 AM @76 Devil Horns can't be used, are you kidding me? It's a new game, so you will have to restart. But you will keep the dlc weapons. |
![]() | Comment #83 by metalheadd1996 Sunday, February 17, 2013 @ 06:50:47 AM You can use the devil horns in hardcore and pure survival. Just delete your system cache, online pass, and any resource packs you have. After this, the devil horns will be deposited to your safe. :) |

![]() | Comment #94 by Hurricane Of 87 Thursday, February 21, 2013 @ 04:55:17 PM #90: My kind of player! Did it in 7:30:14, including the Greely and Conning Tower. Complete a Pure Survival playthrough beforehand, this'll give you access to MK-II Overclocked frames, tips and attachments and a "One time resource supply" which'll help you upgrade 3 out of the 4 Hit Points at the first Suit Kiosk. At the first Suit Kiosk switch to the Engineering Suit. This'll give you 25 inventory slots whereas the EVA Suit just has 20. Use the Safe. A lot. Typically I freed up 7 inventory slots before venturing off again. You can always bring stuff back out of the safe if you're getting your arse kicked or keep it there until you approach the necessary resources needed for an upgrade, then go and break them down. |
![]() | Comment #95 by Hurricane Of 87 Thursday, February 21, 2013 @ 04:56:23 PM MORE: Don't be afraid to backtrack for ScavBot pickups. If you die you're going back a couple of hours, so what's another 5 minutes? You can run through the first 3 enemy sections on Chapter 13: Cliffs Of Volantis since there's no doors blocking your way out. Save time/ammo. Weapon of Choice: Top weapon: Chain Gun (Telemetry Spike + Diffraction Torus) Lower weapon: Seeker Rifle (Military Engine + Precision Tip) Attachment 1: Stasis Amplifier Attachment 2: Stasis Coating The chain gun has a gigantic clip and sprays in the general area you point the weapon so great if you're not so accurate. The those bullets that hit will slow the enemies down to a crawl with stasis coating This increases your accuracy and confidence for the Seeker Rifle shot which puts down most enemies in |
![]() | Comment #96 by Hurricane Of 87 Thursday, February 21, 2013 @ 04:57:38 PM Even More? ...This increases your accuracy and confidence for the Seeker Rifle shot which puts down most enemies in one/two shots. Also perfect for stopping those Chapter 19 tentacles waving about and putting them down quickly. Also practice the end of Chapter 15, this is pretty tough and I can see a lot of people dying here. Good luck! |

![]() | Comment #98 by GerryELD Saturday, February 23, 2013 @ 02:22:24 PM Hey guys, you can use the devil horns on pure sirvival or hardcore:) just delete your cache on system settings and delte your season pass (dont worry you cant get it back later) and all the downloads. Then when you run the game SAY NO to the set up and you should see the message just as you select the game file, now remember you have to be at least at chapter 3 since there it is the first nonblocked bench. Go to your bench and there should be the horns. Make a blueprint in any case. If you want to get your season pass back, just andvance until chapter 4, save and quit and log into xbox live normally. Once you donwload the set up and go to the main menu, the season pass will download again. I just beat survival using the horns and im going for hardcore. Hope this is helpful!!! There are a lo |
![]() | Comment #99 by Neme6ben Saturday, February 23, 2013 @ 11:58:21 PM just got it, I used the usb trick, but in the end I didn't die once lol! pretty easy to do, easier than DS2 |
![]() | Comment #100 by PHOPOW Tuesday, February 26, 2013 @ 04:25:00 PM Just did it. And without the USB trick. I did use the Devil Horns though. Much easier than Dead Space 2. Now I'm just waiting for the Dead Space Awakening DLC. |
![]() | Comment #101 by Havok1496 Saturday, March 02, 2013 @ 02:04:56 AM This is probably way to late but to those people who aren't sure how the usb save thing works basically you have to go to storage and find your dead space 3 save file in the memory part, where it tells you what dlc you have, save files etc, and then while having a usb plugged in copy your file to your usb. if you die what you have to do is you delete your save file for dead space 3 that is on the xbox hard drive and then transfer the save you have on the usb to the xbox. I didn't need it but i feel that just knowing that you have it helps to take some of the tension off. |
![]() | Comment #102 by Atomic Beam Sunday, March 03, 2013 @ 07:00:45 PM The best way to do this achievement is to mod an hardcore save game from someone who is saved just at the end of the game before the boss. it took me 10 minute to complete it on hardcore MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!...no seriously i did hardcore twice on dead space 2 and couldnt bother doing this one on deadspace 3...just used a modded gamesave, spared me frustration and time... |
![]() | Comment #103 by Atomic Beam Sunday, March 03, 2013 @ 07:02:00 PM exploiting the save game glitch is as bad as using a modded game save...just saying.. |
![]() | Comment #104 by dewst Monday, March 04, 2013 @ 03:31:01 PM This isn't even hard, it's my last achievement and i'm sure it'll be done in a short amount of time. I assume it's the last achievement everyone will try so you'll know which parts to goto the dashboard and copy the save to a USB drive. easy. |

![]() | Comment #106 by Grim70Reaper Tuesday, March 12, 2013 @ 01:09:19 PM not as easy as the others. |
![]() | Comment #107 by Xionsmith Friday, March 15, 2013 @ 12:47:22 PM This one wasn't to bad this time around. Just take it slow and if your about to die, pause and jump to Xbox home screen. My advice is to complete Pure Survival Mode first so you can make some badass guns and have a decent amount of resources to upgrade your rig early on. |

![]() | Comment #109 by FighterRaptor17 Friday, March 29, 2013 @ 05:47:32 PM Gonna do what I did with DS2 and save this for last. Debating on whether or not to do this in CO-OP or not. Currently attempting Pure Survival mode and have a CO-OP campaign on normal with a buddy. Probably going to have to run through a couple times on hard before starting hardcore, but planning on saving the negotiator and evangelizer for this, haven't even touched them yet. Looking forward to adding another Dead Space to the 100% list |
![]() | Comment #110 by mtot96 Sunday, March 31, 2013 @ 10:02:00 PM At least this can be done in co-op,whoever wants to get this done add me |

![]() | Comment #118 by Pe3Weee Saturday, May 04, 2013 @ 11:14:38 AM Just got this and I must say, the last few chapters are some of the most intense game play ever. There's a lot of time at stake when your that far. |
![]() | Comment #119 by AnarchoPunk24 Monday, May 06, 2013 @ 12:56:39 AM Hey guys, I need to get DS3 pure survival, hardcore, classic, and pure survival in Awakened for my last 4 achievements. If anyone wants to help me get one/all of them, let me know, and I'd be glad to do the same for you!(: Oh and in Awakened, the only part I can't beat alone is the part with the cult leader at the end... :/ if someone wouldn't mind helping with that, it'd be greatly appreciated! Thanks guys, GT: AnarchoPunk24 Just shoot me a message! (Have a mic!) |
